  1. What's even more annoying is that ALL of who was in the running are doing a lot better than the current clown we have, Callum Davidson is a lot better than that foreign bloke that they had before him, Scott Brown has Ayr a bit away from danger and even Dougie Imrie went on an amazing run after turning us down or being overlooked! I'm with everyone else here IHE, in no way can I trust Duncan any more and that isn't easy for me considering what I said about giving managers more time a few weeks ago but results just aren't acceptable anymore and even my patience wore thin this past weekend hearing he started on fans the other day after a loss, we need that sort of fight in the dressing room and by that I mean the Neil Warnock way of lambasting the players and telling them a few home truths and I know that because I've seen it online lol but it was at a time when he was at Sheffield Utd. You would Imagine then that the players would then be scared into putting in a performance as they would be in fear of the hairdryer treatment from someone who is known to be a hothead! Imho we need to get him out and appoint Ryan Esson until the end of the season and reassess then but at least Ryan would have the club at heart, now I'm not saying Duncan doesn't before anyone has a go . Do I think we'll stay up? On current form, NO but stranger things have happened such as when we beat Raith and Morton so that proves that we ARE capable which makes the other poor results even more annoying!
  2. I am fairly certain that most fans/posters on here know that at the end of this season there is likely to be a mass exodus of players leaving so my simple question is, would you rather we replaced them with experienced players or youngsters because I am clearly in the youngsters camp but would also believe that we may need some experienced players no matter what league we're in but especially if we're in league 1 which is the worst case scenario but also the most likely unless we can win our 6 pointers against Arbroath, Queens Park and Dunfermline . I don't know who's here for next season but I would imagine that the key ones to retain if at all possible are Billy McKay and Mark Ridgers : ictscarf:
  3. Who would I support if we went bust?? Probably Glasgow Warriors or pick one Gallagher Premiership team because tbh I would be done with football apart from Scotland games because I am kinda getting there now, especially during 6Ns which is unfortunately done now for another year :(. I only got into Rugby the year Quins won the Premiership and ever since I've been hooked despite not having TNT sports but having Viaplay so I see a lot of Warriors and Edinburgh and BOTH are better watches than us at the moment!
  4. That's why I said that I won't be calling for his head because he has done nothing wrong and the off field issues are not really anything to do with him, all he's concerned about is on field. I also noticed a blooming typo, who on earth is Acot, that clearly should have read Scot!
  5. As the title says, enough is enough regarding the clowns () Scot Gardiner and to a lesser extent, Ross Morrison, how many clubs is the dud SG going to completely ruin before he never gets a gig again because his reputation as a CEO is getting WORSE than Donald Trump or Nicola Sturgeon etc . I'm not sure if our club is salvageble but I'm sure it could be an attractive proposition for someone with a lot of money which could be become possible if we go into administration but that would be catastrophic for the club imho as it means automatic relegation unless we go on a long unbeaten run, preferably with wins and it would mean that we are 10ts behind the rest of the league at the start of next season if we wait until the start of next season as was mentioned in the expectation thread! Both Dundee and Hearts have recovered from the clowns mess left so there's no reason why we can't and it doesn't necessarily have to be due to sugar daddies because Ann Budge and John Nelms aren't exactly loaded! Hopefully we take our anger out on Ayr but I suspect it will be the support that will have the knives out for the board and tbh they won't be shy in showing their anger towards them! So I am not going to say Duncan Ferguson out, instead I'm going to roar GTF ACOT GARDINER AND ROSS MORRISON, you've ruined our club so I hope you're proud !
  6. Well if our under 18s are good then that's a positive to take into next season no matter what league we're in :). It would maybe make the rebuild job a wee bit easier than it would if they have not been performing and showing the manager that their worthy of getting signed up, in fact I would imagine most of who you name checked will be in the first team next season with a select few from the first team retained but I really can't name check who these would be, I'd imagine Ridgers and Harper would be 2 and perhaps McKay if he's contracted until then (I will have to check the squad update thread to see who we have signed beyond June this year). I also understand that regarding Duncan Ferguson and I was aware of that when I posted last night, I was just stating my opinion on how things have gone since his appointment, I also don't think it would be fair on him if we did sack him so early into his reign, I always moan when I see managers get punted so early into their reigns, the last one being Michael Beale because what was he supposed to do in the timeframe he was at Sunderland for, they'd have been as well giving him the rest of the season and make a decision then so that's what I would assume our board would do and tbh I don't think Duncan would resign as he seems to like the area, I know most of our managers have said that and either left for other jobs or got sacked. I really hope we get a good performance on Saturday and win too at least give us a chance!
  7. I am now starting to think along the same lines here though I don't think he's solely to blame due to the crap he was left but he got rid of 2 of Dudds' best players so that's on him and wtf was his plan on signing numerous defenders NONE of who are better than we had so I'm afraid that this idiot is as much to blame as his predecessor so I'll say that if he keeps us up then it's miraculous because his stint here and in England proves that he just isn't a good manager though he can scrape results out of nowhere (not that these results are any use). So I'm not going to say Ferguson out YET but I'm getting bloody close, the man I want out is the clown Scot Gardiner because he is single handedly ruining our club and if Ross Morrison has any sense he'd have had enough and acted just like the fans supposedly were asking at the weekend!! What is even more annoying is that EVERYONE else we were linked with (Callum Davidson, Scott Brown and Doug Imrie) are all getting better results so that's another bit of proof of Messrs Morrison and Gardiner getting an appointment wrong and this isn't the first time!
  8. Right, funnily enough this is usually the sort of thread that I would start so it really tells a story that I haven't started one, I am now realising that it's not always the manager to blame for failures and sorry to bring up Rugby again but, that's exactly why I have stuck by Gregor Townsend for as long as I have, and will likely afford Duncan at least the rest of this season and perhaps even next season because even I realise that he was left a poor quality of squad that were conceding goals galore and not really scoring goals yet this manager has sorted out our defensive issues by signing good quality players like Carragher from England and also a striker that we can rely on in the shape of Alex Samuel so the key to survival this season may well be keeping Alex Samuel fit for a long period of time. As I have said previously (I'm not sure of I've said it on this forum or on the Facebook posts with the weekly results) this summer is going to be crucial for Duncan as we are likely to be rebuilding the squad majorly no matter what league we're in so we need to back him to get it right. In regards to Dougie Imrie, I really don't think that he was seriously in contention mainly due to the issue of compensation, I would have accepted him as manager and probably would in future too if he was ever given our job but for the moment I'm going to back Ferguson until it's clear that he has lost the dressing room which imho is a long way off!
  9. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/highlands-islands/6293244/caley-thistle-to-score-from-loch-ness-hydro-deal/ Is this the to do with the battery storage thing or is this a different money spinner because I'm confused, especially as it's gone quiet ever since this article a few weeks ago ?
  10. One bonus from today is that it looks increasingly likely that Cameron Harper will remain at the club until at least the summer. As has been mentioned above, going by the number of loans we have at the moment it looks like a massive, massive rebuild in the summer which isn't good imho but I suppose we need to see how the rest of the season goes because if we manage to stay up then a rebuild may actually be a good thing, it's clear that the players we have and had were not good enough to get promoted so Duncan's job is to create a team that IS capable of getting us back to the premiership or at least challenging to get back there!
  11. Ben Wilson from Cliftonville next ?
  12. I know this isn't aimed at me because most on here aren't that type of people but I am going to say my piece regarding that ;), I work weekends in a job I love so I don't find it easy to get down to matches from Thurso plus I'm not comfortable going down myself, I know Inverness is a safe City compared to others but I just prefer to go with a group of people so I feel safer. But I will say this, one of my career goals is to work in an outdoor nursery and luckily there is one or two in the Inverness area (Tornagrain and Elgin) that I have given considerable and serious consideration too so one day I may get down to more matches but again
  13. It's now getting ridiculous how we're seeing more players leave than arrive with just over a week to go of the transfer window!! If we don't get our finger out our arse and sign players then out squad is going to be tiny, ffs it's like we want relegated !!!!
  14. With all these outgoings I think it's inevitable that we'll see some incomings over the weekend/start of next week and also with Zak gone does that hint at Lee Ashcroft opting for us or am I reading into that too much ? Anyway, tonight proves that it's the midfield and up front that need prioritised, preferably attacking midfielders that can create goals and another striker or two to lessen the pressure on Billy, hopefully Sheridan is gone soon too btw. All I will say now is thank you Clowns Dudds/Gardiner for selling George Oakley, not one of their finest moves eh ?
  15. As much as I'm royally p***ed off that Welsh is off to a relegation rival I can also understand Duncan's thinking regarding his wages (and the fee of we're getting one) being useful in getting players in, preferably midfielders and a striker or two, perhaps Lee Ashcroft but I wouldn't be too disappointed if he didn't come as I'm pretty sure he's nearly or even in his 30s! It's also good to see that Ferguson is already trying to get rid of the deadwood/injury prone players already because I don't really want us to be needing a massive rebuild in the summer, especially if we are down in league 1 but hopefully we're not! So despite my minor rant a few days ago about our lack of incomings (which is still the case but not as concerned as I was that day) I'm more content in that it looks like DF is trying his best to reshape our squad : ictscarf:
  16. I only mentioned him because we need to offload him to get players in lol, he's our worst ever signing but thankfully only a short term contract.
  17. We need new signings asap so it's certainly worrying that we have had no news or even rumours yet especially seeing as we have now lost one of our best players of the last while plus Sheridan is soon to be out of contract! Why do we always wait until mid transfer window to sign players, this club clearly has no clue!!
  18. I don't want to sound harsh but the best thing we can do is, as @Robert says, completely rebuild whenever that is possible and build a team capable of promotion in whatever league we are in and we should look no further than Raith to see that IS possible because they were struggling last season but look at them now, you could say the same about Dundee and Kilmarnock too so it IS possible and we have to trust (I know, I know) the board to support the gaffer with this!
  19. Exactly!! Anyway I see on P and B (a circus of a forum btw) that we're linked with Fraser Murray, god knows who's he's at now but I seem to recall he was at Kilmarnock previously.
  20. Is this the same Liam bloke that does the after match interviews with the manager ?
  21. Ah fair enough, I didn't know that bloke was over in US so perhaps he is a good potential signing after all and also I didn't realise that regarding Haspell either so that explains why he was training with us. Oh and post regarding lambasting was basically me inviting replies saying I'm wrong etc so maybe I worded it wrong which is something I tend to do a lot . Anyway I will trust Mr Ferguson's judgement on targets etc but I will ask one thing to you @IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER who is Butterfield and Sherif because I don't recognise any of them from Everton, even when watching league cup matches :O.
  22. FFS why sign or look to sign players from the bloody HIGHLAND LEAGUE when we have capable youngsters! Now I will understand if the lads are better than we currently have and have ambitions of playing at a higher level but surely we can do better than these 2 lads but I will certainly say yes to Poplatnik if he's within our budget range. Anyway feel free to lambast me regarding my comments on the Rothes duo but as I said yesterday I know that Duncan knows more than a **** (yes I'll say it lol) like me :ictscarf:
  23. Any word on the trialists and if they are still here, surely someone will have heard any names, surely it can't only be @Pele_Is_God with Peter Pawlett who I am not sure would be worth signing but I suspect Duncan Ferguson knows more than me about if he's worth giving a deal too .
