Thought positives of this were Doran looking more like the Doran of old, Lewis Nicholson looking like a real potential for the season, Davidson and Gilmour looking like they have slotted right into the starting 11. It was a tough day weather wise and I imagine the pitch was horrid to play on however Brooks was a bit of a disappointment and Samuel's looked pacey enough but seems to lack confidence and composure. Cammy in goal was OK but his distribution is poor and very nearly resulted in embarrassment. Plenty opportunity to put game out of sight at 2-0 but for some great saves, but felt we then invited pressure on ourselves for the goal and then looked on the ropes for the remaining few minutes. All in all a good result but clearly work to do

Kyle Turner along with Kevin Holt and Doherty have all left Partick, Turner could be a good replacement for Allardice?

Well I'd have to watch them back to see exactly but from what I saw he just had to put his foot through them both and it was at least a save. Sitters in my book

Have to say a decent performance overall but I thought Shaw was absolutely horrendous. Missed at least one if not 2 sitters, almost looked disinterested throughout

The guys a clown. "we weren't quite at it"? They were as far off it as they could possibly be it's worrying how him and dodds stand at the sidelines watching, motionless whilst rankin and his coaches were shouting constantly at their side and they were playing the better football.

Once again all we can do is pump high balls to noone yet they get the ball on the ground 3 neat passes and it's in the goal. Why do u insist on making life so difficult

Felt we started the second half far too slow and let stj take the game to us, it looked like we hoped to save energy for the end but it got killed off with the first goal that really shouldn't have fell to May and the second that was about as lucky as they come Brilliant first half just a pity we couldn't start the second the way we ended the first Never mind its over now -
