robbo said on commentary yesterday he hasnt been asked for interview,so unless they phone him today hes out So would I - at Hamilton or Falkirk.... :018: lol very true! butcher and a n other as assistant, but please no malpas!!! :thumb04: iam more keen on butcher but if we can only get butcher with malpas,i would rather take sutton/knox anyone going down to the club today/tommorrow to see who arrives? or knows where grassa stays and follow his every move until tuesday lunchtime!

butcher yes,butcher/malpas a definte no-no,as butcher will probably keep on scotland job and we,ll have that clown malaps in charge some weeks :thumb04: you serious
  4. maybe john doc will have seen enough to alert the new manager to him, pavels could do with a fellow latvian to keep him here a few season,s
  5. he probably could do a job for us short term, but like brewster didnt he have to give up due to injury?. hasnt sutton got some eye injury eye he's finished saying that i think martin o,neil has been touting sutton for the job, so there obviously good firends, maybe villa have a reserve striker we could loan for the season

Think Robbo would be gr8 for ICT - sure he can keep u guys in the SPL - by the way please pass on the Jambos thanks for the tremendous respect the ICT fans showed during the minute's silence yesterday - That is how it should be observed!! TAKE NOTE YOU HIBEES! robbo might be ok,but also depends on who his assistant is,some managers work well only with certain guys, robbo with parkie and if parkie doesnt come i think robbo would be out of his depth with anyone else
  8. whoever gets named manager this week wont iam sure have a list of strikers we can sign so unless grassa/doc have already identified anyone i doubt we,ll find a suitable striker in a week unless its a loan deal

grantie isnt a left back, but in the coaches defence they werent in full charge of the team so were doing the best they could, its upto the new manager to identify who can and cant play where Who was in charge of the team then? doc was in temporary charge for 1 game,ok maybe he made the wrong decision, but putting vigurs there without black being on the park would of stifiled the midfield and we wouldnt of produced anything,as vigurs was running most of the mid

if the board are considering sutton/knox(sutton as manager) then i suppsoe they could also consider wilson as manager(none of this player manager crap, the manager needs to coach from the sidelines to give his all)but he would need to have a very experienced assistant(charlie isnt the man for that job iam afraid)who that would be iam not sure, maybe donald park, but highly doubt he,ll leave his job in edinburgh where he stays to travel up here,so who else does that leave to work along side barry?? saying the board will suprise us makes me happy and nervous,98% of all candidates i would accept(even rookies given a expereicned assistant)but malpas i CERTAINLY dont want,if he comes in we might as well just accept were relegated now and all the players can have a holiday the rest of the season

  12. rosscos ball control is far better than duncan, hastings, barrowman, mcbain to name but a few
  13. you are joking arent you?? theres a few players not good enough for the team or spl,but rossco certainly isnt one of them Nope. I realise that there are a lot of young guys that think he is great. But I think he is one of the reasons why we are bottom of the league. He just isn't a footballer. You get 100% from him alright, and that's not in dispute. I just think he has been poor the past couple of seasons and I think he is a poor player. If we want to improve as a team then we need better players and he would be one of the first out the door for me. I appreciate that his fan club will jump in here and defend him. But I don't think he is the player he was when we came up at first. iam not young, and think hes one of icts best players

its amazing how all the papers have different favourites, sos says butcher will be fav to be unveiled on tues, yet most others say hes out of the running. 2 have been interviewed i would say 1 was defiently butcher, the other i reckon was knox, interviews today or tommorrow i havent got a clue who but better not be malpas.i hope to find out from my club source tommorrow who. originally i wanted butcher, but if hes not 100% committed to the job due to other commitments then fine dont take him,i think knox will be a good appointment if hes assistant to someone else,i find it hard to beleive they would take sutton, even if it was with knox as sutton has no coaching experience or badges, and ok hes played under a lot of good managers, but that makes no odds i now have no idea who is fav or who will get it and frankly not bothered out of any of the above,as long as its not malpas hes brewster mark 2 although i,d love to see barry invovled in some capacity, albeit assitant or coach,no way should he be manager,as has been said we cant risk another rookie at this stage of the season, charlie also maybe a coach but would he want any other role?you can forget ardiles that was just a publicity stunt
  16. This is 100% correct, except it is Sutton and Knox. From a member of the Heathmount Mafia in exile. Which is nice. i highly doubt we could afford boths wages togehter
  17. and? whats he got to do with the managers job??
  18. if its chisolm,it will be billy big ears dodds
  19. its 168 on my sky?
  20. I WOULD ACTUALLY TAKE THOSE 2 WITH NO PROBLEMS thank goodness I'd prefer the Chisolm/Dodds combo to either Knox or the untried Sutton. Jimmy Nicol as well as Eric Black would be firmly on my radar. eric black would be a very good appointment also
  21. from dons website Archie Knox (Caretaker) 1986-1986
  22. i didnt think they were even discussing a contract with pavel, thought it was a loan deal only? but would love to see him sign on permenantly u forgot the 3rd option,he was ok and ihe is talking his usual crap
  23. I WOULD ACTUALLY TAKE THOSE 2 WITH NO PROBLEMS thank goodness
  24. Knox never managed Aberdeen DOUBLE GUARANTEED! Anyone know what his record was like at Dundee? Uninspiring IMHO. Team From To Games Won Lost Drawn Bolton 17-10-2007 26-10-2007 2 0 1 1 Dundee 01-08-1984 31-05-1986 14 6 4 4
  25. In 1980, Knox became assistant to Alex Ferguson at Aberdeen, helping the team to two Scottish Cups, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and subsequent European Super Cup in his three years with the Dons. In 1983, Knox returned to management with Dundee, where he would spend two-and-a-half years. A short spell back at Aberdeen followed, before following Ferguson to Manchester United in 1986, where he stayed until April 1991.
