  1. It would be interesting to look at loan utilisation in the 4/5 years leading up to our Scottiish Cup win in 2015. My perception is that we had a period of fairly low player turnover and few loans. Which was likely the key to those golden years.
  2. Only until they started disappearing through the floor...lol
  3. Nah. He's our version of the 6 Million Dollar Man. They have rebuilt him. Not sure if he's got 90 minutes in him, but a first 45, with half time break, could still see him contributing for the first 60 mins of a game. I'd rather have that, with a chance of us getting our nose in front, than bringing him on cold at the end when we're chasing a game. It's got to be worth a go, as it can't get much worse than at present.
  4. I'm assuming the club would be able to cite the 4 year and 10 year rule for unlawful development to prevent any action against them in relation to planning at this time? That still doesn't excuse having a stand (or stands) that are unsafe, and I imagine there are safety certificates required. Again, our CEO has history here. Only this time he seems to have overlooked new flooring instead of new seats. Hopefully this is just a very isolated issue and we don't end up with both North and South stands being closed pending full inspection and repairs, and the cost that comes with that.
  5. I think Doran would do well for us in a number 10 role. He has shown time and again his ability to score from distance, and he and Billy have enough time together to inject a bit of much needed creativity in the final third.
  6. We always do well on the possession stat as teams are happy to let us fanny about with ball in our own half. Technically we hit the cross bar, even if it was a ball that actually dropped on the top of it and was closer to hitting the back of the bar than the front if it. I'm not calling for manager or player heads and agree that there are circumstances at play, but that doesn't mean we should be kidding ourselves things are better than they are.
  7. It's the wooden panel flooring which failed. This should be easy and relatively inexpensive to replace, as well as regularly checked under normal maintenance. That has no baring on the structural integrity of the stands. What's happened there is down to neglect on the club's part.
  8. Just watched the highlights and I don't think 3-1 flattered Hibs at all. A slightly less in form Ridgers and they could have been approaching double figures.
  9. The loafers should have been an obvious sign.
  10. I said after thr draw that I felt we were better when teams came at us, and if Hibs do that and we can get our nose in front then I'm confident we can get a result. The danger is we concede early and Hibs then sit in a bit against us.
  11. Please tell me you've washed it!
  12. Did the hat look like this one?
  13. On the topic of Scot Gardiner as per the thread title. Does anyone else think he exhibits the behaviours of a dictator?
  14. I'd say it was more of an opinion than an act of abuse.
  15. Have they? Until we know how much is involved here and the level of debt that needs serviced, then we really don't know what they've done. If you blow £10000 on scratch cards and win £10000, is that playing an absolute blinder or just getting lucky? These guys put us in the position we were in and have taken a serious risk with the clubs existence. The decision in the clubs favour scraped through on the margin of 1 vote. Not sure that counts as low risk. Even if there is a net financial benefit, are these really the right people to be leading the club and in control of the money?
  16. All that can only happen if there's anything left after clearing debts.
  17. The Community Trust is also self funded. With the club doing nothing directly in terms of fan or community engagement these days, and failed ventures that have cost local businesses more than they've provided, it would be impossible to show any socioeconomic benefit of their own.
  18. If the club is in that bad a state then it's no surprise that the chairman has put charges in place to make sure he gets paid back and has control of club assets ahead of any others who are owed money. Wednesday's decision could conceivably trigger an insolvency event for the club.
  19. Was part of the planning consent that they run a park and ride for construction staff. The new owners hope to begin construction in 2026.
  20. Yet again it would seem that inferences made by the CEO are having to be corrected by the Chairman. This time it's the Battery Storage being a one off windfall and not the ongoing income stream we were lead to believe it would be. What happens when that money (assuming it happens) has been swallowed up by debt and operating costs that are beyond our means? Do we just keep running up debt in the hope that another windfall arrives from somewhere? The most recent accounts show a hole in excess of £800k in required annual income. There's no hope of Premiership football on the horizon, the club are doing nothing to improve the fans experience or relationship with fans, so numbers will likely continue to fall and the pie in the sky ventures are alienating local businesses, damaging the support we get from there. It's an absolute shitshow and if they think fans can be placated and brought back by filling a few holes in the north car park, then it's just another example of how out of touch with reality they really are. Get these clowns to **** away from the club.
  21. I did think Motorbikes was a strange one, but you may be a full on Harley Chick for all I know...lol
  22. You originally said motorbike. Did you mean motorhome? If so, there's parking for them at Torvean and a bus passes every 20mins or so going into the city centre.
  23. A motorbike can park anywhere a car can park, so if there's room for cars, there's room for them. I park at Rose St regularly and it's never full in the summer. Only time it's full is peak shopping time at Christmas, and not even certain it was then either last year.
  24. There are two massive carparks in town (Rose St and Eastgate) that are rarely full, why would anyone go for a less convenient out of town parking option?
