Couldn’t let the above line go by without my highest praise. The spirit of McGonagall lives on! Rest of the post is on-point. I’m afraid being fans of the, (any) club, were the last in line (after the key players, insiders, favoured media and press men) to be told the true and current position. Agree any future statement or comment from anyone at the club will have to be vetted before release I suspect as it will be combed over by the lawyers from SG (and possibly RM) as we approach the Admin knocking on the door. Can’t see any investor daft enough to come in and throw away 3.4 M to pay of loan debt! Stranger things happen in the world of business however (strings attached), so who knows!

It’s not a great look thou, is it? All the messages from the club and last Monday’s fan show was we’re entering into admin on Wednesday if we don’t get 200K. Put aside the unclear messages about what the fund actually paid, it looks to me right now that the fans are again being strung along. A simple statement from the club via there webpage could clear up any confusion. I don’t wait in any anticipation!

Hear the mail is issuing Union flag inserts in Monday’s Scottish edition to celebrate the SG scoop.

Fair play to the guys today. Gave it their best when few (if any) of our fans gave them any chance of pulling of a victory. The news that a good number of them will be shown the door was also looming over them. So I take my bunnet of to you lads. Going out 4-5 on penalties after a 2-2 draw oan a plastic pitch is OK in my book. Hope the journey up the A9 is an easy one!

Well, ‘the cats out the bag’ now and hissing and scratching. Whether we like it or not we’re now hearing the starting rebuff by Scott Gardiner. Many more to come in the weeks and months ahead I fear. Now hoisted up by A Savage and bulk of fans as the evil villain, for right or for wrong, we need to hear SG’s account of things (over his full period of CEO) and start to systematically disprove or accept each argument he puts up. It’s going to be a slog I feel dredging through 5 years of verbal (unrecorded) decisions and what individuals were involved plus the 7,000 + unopened emails. I’m sure we will find more than a few of SG accusations will be difficult to disprove, and we should be prepared for some unsavoury comments regarding the members of the past and current board being ‘aired’. We might see and hear from good old Ketan again. (That will be fun at least)! Maybe too late now, and both SG & AS can’t resist a kick at each other, however I hope some deal can be done between the respective parties at this late stage and avoid the solicitors costs and any settlement fee running way into the Million plus figure. bc

Tum-te-tum, ‘He said this’, — “No, I said that”! All so predictable, brain numbing and avoidable (+ cheaper). If you thought the Post Office Enquiry took too long, think of it now as a trial run. Ah well, might as well settle in for the show to unfold!!!

Ah yes, The road ahead is long!!

I believe Big Dunc’s mind is already in the exit strategy mode, has been for some time since SG was shown the door. He played along with the A Savage review process up until last week when the Administration likely route flag was raised. Whilst still not a fan, to be fair to him, big Dunc has since handled his position with some discretion IMO, (step forward anyone who would like to be in such a position). When he does leave I hope we provide him with some of that community club spirit I hear so much about just now. bc

Fans' Meeting: Saturday 19 October
big cherly replied to ICT Supporters Trust's topic in Caley Thistle
Fair enough, accept your point. There’s been too much over the past month to get disillusioned with the clubs plight without nitpicking over small beer (excuse the pun). As long as the attendees get barred from entered the stadium for not complying to the club conduct code by being under the influence of drink, I’ll raise a glass to that!! -
Fans' Meeting: Saturday 19 October

Understand and commend the initiative. Not sure the location is the best place as it looks like a drive more to pull punters into the pub to buy beer as opposed to serious discussion regarding the club position. A simple agenda or some structure / timetable of what the open meeting would cover may help the cause. A review of the Club SLO response to the ST questions would be a good starter. Maybe a viewing of the recording from Mondays meeting for those not privileged to get an invite. Also what would be the follow up (if any), on the feedback from any huddle. Useful to know if any club rep would attend ? Just my thoughts! bc -
This includes looking at the youth coaches.

Is it? Yes, like Charlie, he’s a pal of AS and both have been sheltered under the AS umbrella. Neither mentioned by any players dumped, but take from it what want! It’s a free world. It’s been a masterclass so far from AS for me. # Managed to offload the people he wanted (main inept individuals responsible for the plight). # Position them to take the bulk of the criticism and flak. # Corral the remaining board members and stakeholders to get behind the Admin route. # Limited attendance to Mondays meeting to a controlled audience. (Keep the dissent to a min). # Pre prime the attendees with the agenda (forward thinking debate only). # Steer the conversation towards support for the admin route. # Entice people the carrot of potential investors in the background to take a piece of the action once Admin is settled. So far well executed and going to a well thought out plan in my view. It will hurt the individuals most where AS wants to hurt them. I’ll declare my hand by wanting AS to succeed. The next few months will be interesting watching how the cards fall!

I’m sure AS has Charlie Bhoy already part of the Admin strategy. Keeps him in a role that they may hope Celtic offer some kids! Just a thought!

Any clear out must not include grazza, fyfey or charlie, they ‘did nuffin’!

Only one person smiling and laughing all the way to the bank here is good old Scott Gardener. Stitched up and played the Chairman, Broad members and others like the fools they were! He’s made a tidy old sum old from his ‘stint’ in teucherland. Managed to bring the club to its knees and will no doubt walk away winning the legal case with AS. The warning signs were there before we took him on (Hearts and Dundee), but we couldn’t resist his beguiling allure. I’m sure there more damage to some other gullible club down the line for SG to do his magic.
-
Agree, in addition to players and manager that should include all wage takers at chairman, CEO and youth coach!
-
Risk with the Q&A session and small invited forum is any debate and discussion is tailored to a particular route preferred by those controlling the events. So there is a good chance any good potential outside view or proposal never gets aired. Akin to Canada Scotty’s previous approach to SG. C’est la vie!

These people only know money and every thought and decision is driven by this measure. Morals or any past responsibilities to the club (never mind local suppliers or fans) does not come into the equation. They will do whatever is in their own financial interest. With the sums we are talking about here, ask yourself if you would be any different?
-
Err well yes, Filtered and sanitised questions forwarded in writing via an approved and associated group to the clubs SLO. Replies structured in generic bland language to whitewash over the past 5 years gross negligence and responsibility. Then a forum with limited invited audience to ask for fans money to pay for running another month. Then what, same again in November??
-
Perfect solution! Knows the players, current CEO, Chairman and Board members abilities. Most importantly Cheap. Already has contract for wages, digs and transport. Given the opportunity I’m sure Garry would introduce a more open attacking game. Give him a chance!
-
Well, they’d need extra stewards to throw out the attending patrons that resort to bad language and fall foul to the behaviour code. That would leave about 4 fans I guess outnumbered by the club meeting reps!! The extra costs for the stewards could break the club recovery plan.

This security ‘filter’ is just another way to negate the level of fan fury. Pay your donations but that’s your lot!
