I'm very satisfied with how we're going about our business this transfer window, it's very encouraging that we are getting as much done early . Of our next business is David Wotherspoon, Jordan Alonge or Charlie Frost and Carlos Heredia then that would mean that we won't need as many loan players to complete our squad imho. Not sure if anyone knows as it would have been mentioned here but does anyone have ideas who the defensive trialists were on Saturday?
-
First game tomorrow afternoon against Strathspey so I'd imagine we'll see trialists as well as the Under 19s get match time. I'd imagine Alonge and Lukiama to be 2 of the trialists if they are currently training with the first team squad .

Is this boy any good :-)? I would probably agree with @CELTIC1CALEY3 though when he said we'd need another experienced GK but would the club be able to run with 3 GK (Experienced GK, Ross and Rebilas?

Did Alan Savage mention if any of the previous interested parties from interested in investing during the bidding process had got back to him offering to help him out with investment? I seem to recall from one of the previous press conferences that interested investors were willing to contact Alan himself and offer to help him with investment etc. Or am I misunderstood, which is highly possible . Anyway, I am just ecstatic we finally have our club back and also look forward with positivity to what the future holds for us under the stewardship of Alan Savage and Charlie Christie (who I'd like to see kept on under this new regime) . -

Has the fact we've not heard anything about the cva meeting being moved a good thing would you guys say ? I'm just desperate for this saga to end hence asking the question . -
I would rather either of the Celtic GKs we had to Jack Newman tbh but maybe Charlie Christie, Kells and co will find us another gem or top quality GK .
-
Are they trying to emulate the Champions League with the 30 team league phase ? One thing I will say though is, our record in the league cup has actually been pretty poor, we haven't gotten out of group stages since the year we got hammered 5-0 by Motherwell in a midweek knockout game under Billy Dodds (I think). So I'd like to see us do well in it this coming year but I suppose success depends on the draw we get!

Pleasantly surprised but certainly ecstatic that we have had a good few players signing new deals with the club as that really helps Kel, Charlie Christie etc get on with the task of looking at players they may be keen on signing in the summer I echo what has been said above regarding the 4 that we are still awaiting news on regarding whether they will sign new deals or not; I would be very happy if all 4 signed new deals but also concede that is highly unlikely unfortunately. I know I'm always an optimist () so it's fair to say that I'm fairly optimistic we can mount a serious title/promotion push next season if we can get our recruitment right (I personally, would like to see us sign younger players and maybe a few from the loan market) because we certainly have a capable management team that get the best out of our players .
-
I actually enjoyed taking part this year despite entering pretty late so with that in mind, I can't really complain at ending second last . Beware next season though guys, I'm after the crown .
-
Any idea as to what squad size we'll have next season or will that come clear once May 22 has passed and, hopefully, the CBA has been agreed-would a squad of about 20 be a competent rough estimate ?
-
What seems clear from Kelly's interview published in both The Courier and Press and Journal is that we could certainly utilise the loan market again during the transfer window because he's certainly praising the coaches and ex players that helped us get the important loans this season.
-
I certainly am, especially with Scott Kellacher and Billy McKay the management team . Recruitment is certainly going to be very important, imho we need to target the right players (prefer some experienced players) to help the current crop of youngsters that will hopefully be signed up on new deals whenever that is possible . I'm not a fan of loans tbh but I would actually use that avenue again if we can get the right players in, both Alfie's and Brannan have proven to me that loans can be successful too . Let's hope Alan's takeover is complete very soon so that Charlie and Kell can firstly get new contracts out to the players they want to keep them look at the recruitment process once from next Monday I'd presume.

As the title suggests, ICT surviving after a 15pt deduction is unarguably the greatest of great escapes ever seen in the history of football . I'm going to argue with anyone (mostly of other clubs fans) that disputes that . I can't even think of any other great escapes that could rival this one!! In fact I can't even think of many achievements that can rival this greatest escape, perhaps winning the Scottish Cup, Greece winning 2004 Euros or Leicester winning PL. I was out yesterday and certainly enjoyed my night, I even won at pool against a pal (2 matches to 1) and afterwards he suggested going to one or 2 of the Derbies against Peterhead as he knows how big a fan I am , we are talking of going hospitality then perhaps spending a night out in the city for a few drinks . I'm really looking forward to going back because it's been ages since I was last at a game due to circumstances such as work commitments.

This is our biggest achievement since winning the cup, especially when you consider how it was achieved so I hope Mr Moodie and the supporters trust enjoy the staying up party now!! I've never been emotional about certain results, even the first relegation under Tel way back but tonight is the exception because I'm just so proud of the effort put in to get to this point!!
