Zander & Rory miss out on U20 squad

Zander Sutherland and Rory McAllister will not be spending the summer in Canada after being left out of the squad for the U20 World Cup. Shame about that as I was looking forward to wearing an ICT shirt and maybe persuading some of the TFC diehards to support them at Toronto's BMO Field if Scotland reached the latter stages ....

squad seems a bit lopsided ..... 8 defenders but only 5 midfielders ???

not sure the formation the team plays but if it is a standard 4-4-2 then surely 3 x GK, 7 x DEF, 7 x MID and 4 x FWD might have made more sense .... might have helped Zander's cause but probably not Rory !!!

They dont fly out for another two weeks so there's always time for call-offs and late additions to the squad !!

Not altogether a bad thing as the two lads concerned can now enjoy a full close season break and return to training refreshed.

Suspect Rory is a bit unlucky seeing he has been in all the squads this year and scored in the last game.

He was probably up against Fletcher and Elliot for the big forward role and they have a lot more experience. Eliot must consider himself lucky and has probably been picked on past deeds rather than current form. He has hardly played since returning to Hearts. I wonder if he is on standby.

Considine is a joke
