  1. Surely if you are assaulted in the street, you are allowed to defend yourself? The news reports and CCTV seem to indicate he was punched twice before he retaliated so why was he even charged? If your not allowed to defend yourself whilst being attacked, what are you supposed to do,sit and take a kicking? Is this the Police taking the huff because he ran away? Find it quite disturbing that you could end up in court for defending yourself or is it on the basis how far you go in defending yourself?
  2. Did they throw seats as well? never saw that only shoes, coins and a drumstick I hear Parkhead will be doing a safe standing section next season,so seats will be removed then, hopefully the rest of the clubs will be allowed to follow if that's what your meaning
  3. After a Hibs fan throwing a drumstick at the Hearts keeper last week,i can see them getting banned from every ground for next season
  4. Gauld is overhyped,over-rated and nowhere near as big an influence on a game as Christie. Christie will go on to be a top class player if he is handled correctly,Gauld, well he's walking in to the Barcelona team at the end of the season if you listen tot he Arabs lol
  5. So out of a crowd of 800,with just a small minority singing this disgraceful song not one person was brave enough to tell them to stop? That is as shameful to hear, as it is people singing sick songs like that.
  6. His Pre and Post match interviews are an embarrassment to the club and the players. His constant use of terms like "educating??" and "good honest hardworking boys" sounds like these players are not very good, don't have much skill etc. When in reality this is a team that was clear in 2nd place, with games in hand. The way he talks about rolling our sleeves up and try again etc gives me the impression he thinks he's at a small club who should be happy avoiding relegation(maybe just me but that's the way I think he comes across) He constantly uses the same football clichés like he is some kind of football philosopher and everybody else needs to wake up to his great plan. The only problem is he has no big plan,he's swallowed a few football manuals and talks the talk the reality when you look at his past record is he fails to walk the walk..... Only one place this club will go with this fool in charge and that is Division 1,got lucky and bounced straight back up last time,i wouldn't be convinced for next time. Get him out now!!! He's destroyed years of good work and the feelgood factor in the space of 4 months!! Imagine where this club could be a year from now if he is allowed to bring players in and wreck the club even more.
  7. . Who cares? me, that's why I asked the question. Will be quite disturbing if a City the size of Inverness can't produce more fans than Gretna Comparing to other teams is pointless and won't tell you anything. My flatmate whose a QOS fan went to the Scottish Cup final to see Gretna. Their quick rise caught the imagination of football fans who didn't necessarily support them. I wasn't comparing ICT to other teams, just wondering if Gretna and Livi took more? It's a bit of an unenviable record to have the lowest support ever at a national final hence my curiosity, had the discussion with a couple of people and was just hoping for a genuine response. It's been said Gretna took 12,000???? Not sure about Livi. Strange for the size of the city and the fact it is the clubs first major cup final that there has not been a lot more one game wonders, County had a fantastic turn out for their final.so why the apathy and low key press coverage in Inverness? The stadium having only 3 sides has caused this, imo people are frightened of a big 4 sided stadium. Plus lots of ICT fans went down for County I don't know any County fans that are doing the reverse as they are so bitter and twisted. Oh don't forget the merger of course we'd probably be taking around 25k if it was old Caley or 20k if it was Thistle. Another constructive answer from Fraser the fool, this is a messageboard for debating such issues Fraser,if you don't wish to debate the subject don't. Other's do and find it concerning that a team the size of Gretna and the likes with their catchment areas can take more to a cup final. Maybe you don't care or have no interest, that the club is losing out on extra revenue, that could go to signing an extra player or paying that little bit more to get a player of a higher standard? You appear to be turning in to the board's keyboard warrior, with some of your posts.....not sure why Very sorry for my rather flippant reply, it seems to have really upset you or perhaps all the weed you're reefin' is making you paranoid. Anyway, over four hundred posts from you and you still can't figure out how to quote and reply to people properly (nor understand what comparing means), and I'm the fool? I just don't understand that in a few days we are playing arguably our biggest game and could win out first piece of major silverware and you're busy comparing and worrying about crowd sizes. I don't disagree that they are lower than they should be and of course I want as many people to go to this game (with which I've given up many hours of my time to try and help with) and our other home games as possible. My reply was as constructive as your initial post on the issue and subsequently how you find our crowd size 'disturbing'. Please explain how that was constructive? What would have been constructive and generate a proper debate would be to look at the reasons for why you believe our crowds (at this game and in general) are lower than we'd like then look at some realistic ways that the issue could be addressed. It's easy to say 'Oh look our crowds are pish' anyone can do that and people do, again and again and again. What's not easy is to suggest and/or actually do something to try and improve it. If you truly cared as you claim that's the bit that you would be posting about and focussing on. I don't have all the answers (nor perhaps any of the answers) but I give up my time and try my best to work with both CJT and the club where possible and hope that in some small way that it helps. There are others who do far more than I (you know who you are)! Everyone is different but that's how I show that I 'care'. As for a keyboard warrior thing, don't really know what that is tbh. So perhaps I am. Edit- speeling. I perfectly understand the meaning of comparison Fraser,if you go back to my initial QUESTIONS I asked will this be the lowest ever attendance by 1 club at a national final?I asked this question because I am unsure of the answer, I also asked how many Gretna and Livingston had taken as I believed them to be the 2 clubs with the lowest supports at finals.I would not be making a COMPARISON between an established SPFL club and clubs who only came to prominence for a season or 2. This is a messageboard for debating, the good, the bad and the ugly of the game, constructive or not I believe under a thread titled CUP FINAL TICKET ALLOCATION it's a fairly valid to ask questions relating to previous CUP FINAL TICKET ALLOCATIONS and have more been sold than the likes of Gretna with a population of 2,500 and Livingston with a population similar to ours. If you don't know the answer to my initial questions then why bother responding? i'm not looking to debate why crowds are so low in this city and that's not the question I asked.I;m just looking for a couple of simple answers. Perhaps as you deal with the club you know how many have been sold? Debating the matter by point scoring on one's internet messageboard knowhow is very shallow, but that's the keyboard warrior in you...Pedanticism really..
  8. I don't think we've even sold 7000 for the final . Certainly no comment from the club or anywhere valid as to how many have actually been sold. I have only seen it reported by the British Beast Corporation, but take their reporting on Scottish football with a pinch of salt

  10. But by asking if this is the lowest support ever taken to a final you are, by definition, comparing us to other teams. In fact you are comparing us to every team that has been to a cup final. The reasons for the size of our support compared to our catchment area have been debated ad infinitum and quite possibly ad nauseaum. Do we really need to go there again on the eve of our first major final? Well it would be rather hard to get a comparison if I didn't compare ICT to a football club wouldn't it? and as we are talking about cup finals, clubs and football supports I think the reference is apt. or are ICT defined as a different case?? it takes 2 CLUBS to play a final,it also takes fans to make up a support. Ad nauseaum could also be defined as people who enter a debate they clearly have no interest in......

  13. Will this be the lowest amount of fans a club has ever taken to a major final in this country? How many did the likes of Gretna and Livi take to their cup finals?
  14. I wholeheartedly agree that every fan of ICT and Aberdeen should be at this game and I agree there hasn't been any trouble between our fans. Pre match, most of the ICT fans go into Caledonian golf club where the majority of Dons fans are in and we are treated very good but where this game is concerned I just don't agree that neither sets of fans should be housed above the other. Why? Like you say there has never been any trouble between the fans. The stewards would have no problem seeing people throwing things down.Plenty of teams in England put away fans in the top tier, home fans in the bottom, in fact it used to happen at Ibrox. Would look great for sponsor's,TV etc if we have one of our National cup final with an upper deck of empty seats, not to think of the potential lost revenue to both clubs. Is the upper tier not an extra 5000 odd seats x £25 it's a lot of lost money for both clubs.
  15. Scottish Travellers, or the people termed loosely Gypsies and Tinkers in Scotland, consist of a number of diverse, unrelated communities, with groups speaking a variety of different languages and holding to distinct customs, histories, and traditions. There are three distinct communities that identify themselves as Gypsies or Travellers in Scotland: Indigenous Highland Travellers Have Northern Constabulary or the Procurator Fiscal's office actually thought this through? I'd like to see them have it stand up in court, under what law would they be charging you under? The sectarian bill or what? The above is a true definition of the word, referring to fellow highlanders roots can't see what the problem is there, all of the above refers to Dingwall. In the meantime there is real crime happening on the streets, good old Northern Plod
  16. Ah sorry must apologise, must have misread through the haze County have always massaged the figures, didn't they have wooden cutouts in the stands one year to make it look like they had more there??
  17. My point is,it's a bit rich slagging County when ICT couldn't sell out their end for one of the biggest games of the season just a short trip over the bridge.
  18. The SFA don't decide TV fixtures,The BBC only have highlights and and don't you think perhaps the "old firm" derby would pull in a far bigger global audience for ESPN or whoever?? Why would they bend over backwards to show a game that would be viewed by a few thousand?
  19. Aye and most of them were in the ICT end..big empty spaces
  20. That will be the same wikipedia which today's Courier Shennachie column reveals as recording that Chuck Norris and Rob Schnieder have claimed that Billy McKay "is a possible resurrected version of the Lord Jesus Christ"? As Caley D says, plans (ie bits of paper) may have existed since the 90s but no more than that. Just think of the absurdity of a West Stand. Here we have a club which - a) Is working wonders on the field with a team which has been put together within the constraints of a severely limited player budget, and b) Doesn't fill its current 7700 capacity, even for Celtic and County games and normally operates at around half that capacity. Does that really sound like the kind of scenario where investing millions on a redundant fourth stand is a sensible prospect? Yes, I know that a fourth side to the Caledonian Stadium would give a more intimate atmosphere and act as a windbreak. But this notion of a West Stand is Inverness football's second most persistent myth after the one which states that m****r protesters are staying away in droves. Or maybe they should build the thing, call it The Refusenik Stand, The Rose Street Stand or The Rod The Mod Enslosure and it would instantly fill to the brim with an entirely new clentele! Another persistant myth that has been around Inverness for years, is that there is a "reputable" sports journalist who works for the BBC and writes for the Highland News Just a myth though.....
  21. Bournemouth have a rich Russian backing them and the reputed wages of Ryan Fraser are £6000 a week i'm not surprised Aberdeen weren't prepared to pay massive wages for an 18yr old who has played 2 full games!! Some of these kids see the riches of England and think because they are trebling their wages it's a "step up". in reality it's short term gain, will they be heard of in league 1? will they be playing with a better standard of player? ,plenty of rubbish in league one and i would fancy a fair few teams in Scotland to do well in that league,Bournemouth the massive step up managed to take 68 fans to their last league game,so in terms of size of club and being a step up not a chance
  22. Ryan Fraser has just turned 18,Andrew Shinnie is 23 surely 5 years extra development is enough? Age has nothing to do with it. This is Shinnies first season where he has been a "real" regular in a team much like Fraser. Indeed, moving from ICT to Aberdeen isn't much of a step up compared to Aberdeen to Bournemouth. So are you saying that the amount of first team games they have both played in their careers is comparable? Not sure how Aberdeen to Bournemouth or Ict to Bournemouth would be any kind of step up maybe you could enlighten me on that one because i can't see where the step up is? If you mean doubling or tripling your wages is a step up then yes you are quite correct as for footballing terms your deluded.
  23. Ryan Fraser has just turned 18,Andrew Shinnie is 23 surely 5 years extra development is enough?
  24. Maybe only for a couple of dozen hours. So far, St Mirren have shifted fewer tickets than we have. That is embarrassing for St Mirren when it is close enough for them to get to.Why is there such an apathy towards this cup these days do you think,is it because they have taken away the european spot or do people just not have enough money to go? i think years back the earlier rounds were included in a season ticket I know it has been devalued in England for a long time but in Scotland it has been the chance for many clubs to actually win a bit of silverware. maybe it just needs a revamp to get the fans excited again, think its sad that one of our national competitions is treated this way I was thinking along these lines today. Would a two legged semi-final generate more interest? A european spot would help the teams but would supporters be excited? Thought about the 2 legged affair myself but it looks like it's hard enough to get the fans interested in a one off game. really not sure what can be done to sort this cup out,i know they are talking about moving it back to early in the season and have the final in October like it used to be,have to say i used to love it when it was early in the season final usually the weekend the clocks went back under the floodlights at hampden. But i don't think that will be enough to get the fans back watching, not even sure the european place will save it now but we have to try and change it somehow. Would be very sad to see one of our major cup finals dissappear,TGFITW are the worst of the lot and probably wont sell their allocation, looking at pictures from parkhead this season it looks like they aren't such great fans when it comes to Scottish football without the other cheek
  25. Can't believe only 28% of fans thought that stewards decreased the enjoyment of attending a game, thought it would be more like 88% hated those jobsworth c^&%s
