SPL reconstruction
Among the other details still to be settled upon is how to revert from the current top 12 to a league of 10, with one possibility being the relegation of three teams at the end of the season prior to change, with just one coming up. Unsurprisingly, some clubs traditionally fighting to avoid relegation are sceptical about the wisdom of voting for a smaller league, but it is hoped they can be persuaded if a system can be devised whereby relegated teams receive greater compensation, to ease the blow of playing in the lower tier. It's funny at this time of year to be talking about Turkeys and Christmas.

What the hell?...
It was certainly full of something! How does that some go again?

What the hell?...
I will back up Dougal. Caley were a bunch of hun lovers with the exception of IHE who did frequent Celtic Park. This is the completely unbiased opinion of a Jags fan of course! I do love your grenades Dougal. You are a tw*t but you are our tw*t.

Crowds.
I believe the club are going to stop the allocation of free tickets to the disabled? Can someone confirm this? It makes no sense at all. Our crowds are bad enough as it is without discouraging people who can find it hard to make to games even harder. Is it true that the club are going to offer disabled people discounted season tickets instead? In certain weather etc it makes it difficult to attend to buying a season ticket is not worth while. Why still give free tickets to schools but not the disabled?

ICT -V- Rangers : Matchday Thread
Imagine a player of the integrity of Lennon cheating? OFGTF! Happy with a point I suppose when you think it is the old firm and we were at home. However I wasn't happy with our second half at all. I know Rangers were going to come out and boss the game but the way we passed, tackled and cleared the ball was amateurish. We just kept putting ourselves under more and more pressure. We seemed like a team that only met at half time. The difference to the first half was amazing and that is not just down to Rangers playing better. Eric was woeful and should have been subbed so much earlier. Says a lot when I am disappointed in a performance that led to a draw with Rangers!

Useless info
http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=s25_1_4&dir=next&workingdate=2008-11-22 Found this on the SPL site. It shows the league tables from the beginning of the SPL and all the results. It breaks the tables down so you see if pretty much month on month. It is interesting to see that we are 8 points better off at exactly the same point from 2 years ago. That is pretty dam good. Pretty much all the other teams are on almost the same points now as they were then. It was also strange to notice that we played Celtic in the same fixture at the same time. Better result and much smaller crowd. All useless but it is actually a good look.

Matchday Thread : Celtic -V- ICT
Another great ICT day despite the nazi styled stewards. I spoke with one at half time and lost count of the lies. Who cares, we got a result, had a great day and move on to the next trip.

Call To Arms
I thought the ICI Daily Record front page came about after the game against Stirling Albion at Brockville. Am I imagining things or did the players not have to get taken off the pitch at one point of that game due to the mayhem on the terraces? No it was certainly Forres. It was Thistle V Elgin in a cup final. There were battles in the town and bricks and bottles thrown in the ground. People were left lying in a heap on the ground with the ICI calling card on their napper!

I am fed up hearing about them. Yes certain managers and clubs have treated them badly but what do they really expect to change?

- Our Prayers Could be Answered
The Scottish FA can confirm that agreement has been reached with several European Associations to ensure matches in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and the Alba Cup final will be covered this weekend. Negotiations are continuing with other national associations to help ensure that some, if not all, matches in the Scottish Football League go ahead as normal. Clubs will be informed by 3pm today whether their matches will go ahead or not in light of the Scottish Category One referees electing to persist with their withdrawal of labour LRT, here we come! - Our Prayers Could be Answered
