RANGERS 0 INVERNESS 1
It is pretty bad for the captain not to know the opponents names , but then it is Barry Failureson here, give him a break he only started doing his own bootlaces last week ffs!! :006:

Brewster!!
I'd suspect that although Brewster will have had compensation clauses in the back of his mind when he signed ET will have had to work to a budget when negotiating any 'early termination' clauses in CB's deal....750k to 1 mil sounds too much even for the grocer - he must be getting savvy to this sacking business now surely.

Next Weeks Crowd
Why would a performance like that on Saturday entice more folk to the Falkirk game?? More than a few folk have turned up for the odd home game of late and suffered an equally unspectacular performance but without the **** Turpin-esque result. No I'm afraid we'll need to see more attractive football, for a sustained spell before the attendances will rise. ...whats that you say - winters coming , oh well, forget that then! :017:

A Different League
Wait until December/January , and we'll see how things are shaping up then - probably just seeing Celtics taillights fade in the distance with Rangers & Hearts fighting for CL place, then about five teams vying for remaining Euro spot and top six status...then a comfort zone of three teams playing meaningless games until May, with Malky Thompsons DU rooted at the bottom of the table. :004:

Brewster!!
completely agree... It just makes me laugh looking at the SPL table and he's sitting bottom with his preferred team and we have a result like we have done today hope he cries himself to sleep tonight :015: ...I think several members of his 'preferred team' still play for us... :003:

October form
Indeed after they dominated the fixture in the cup game a draw would not be a bad result ( you can almost hear the clowns getting on CC's back ), neither would it be an acceptable one though - 3 points is a must and we've got to approach it positively. Worry too much about Latapy and you're creating space for the others in the team. Make them work and worry about our guys.
-
Marvin Andrews-Missed opportunity?
He could be okay for Raith but don't forget there are another ten guys in his team too so don't expect any great return to form from them...as for signing him for us, really, come off it, do we need any more cover at the back, no - between Granty, Dods and Caff we have a good mix of styles and the three are reasonably interchangeable - we have no need for damaged goods as it were, and what with Marvins rather agricultural approach to the defending it'll be curtains for his career sooner rather than later.
-
Dicky Hastings
Fortunately for us - as a defender he is part of the only fully functional unit of the team right now and his displays have helped keep us above water thus far into the season.

ICT on STV last night
5 mintes of entertainment, eh, that must have been the 2 minutes at the end of each half plus the goal celebrations then. :010:

Setantas Offering
They do affect attendances down south although for every time they mention Man U's new EPL attendance record they omit the poor attendances for another three or four games , and although the attendances seem bigger down south its relative to the population, and they are alos in decline as a whole . Good to see you mentioning about away teams playing negatively in meaningless fixtures at the end of the season , thankfully you don't get that now in our shiny bright SPL...oh, were you not at the game on Saturday. :003:

Setantas Offering
Cash is king isn't it...well we've all signed up so we had better get ready for a big bite of the sh**t sandwich. Sandy, what sort of 'resurgence' are you on about??? A resurgence of overrated over paid players half as good as their predecessors bleeding dry the naive clubs who are throwing borrowed cash at them?? Followed by ten years of cost cutting and save the club campaigns , for the lucky ones. Aye, what a resurgence, I'll have some of that then - not the resurgence, just some of whatever you have been smoking.

The De Vries 'Stamp' On Munro & Dods
...Only Rankin thought that. :015: To be honest I thought the ref did ok, which is a serious compliment considering the usual tripe he serves up - the only complaint is that he didn't speak to Jim Hamilton in the first half about his elbows....then again when Brewster was our front man we didn't mind his 'robust' style did we?? :017:
-
John Rankin
He is taking his time to settle , I admit , but the midfield hasn't clicked with him and Black playing without Russell in there to do some water carrying...I think we'll have a better idea of his true capabilities by the turn of the year - good or bad at least he'll have had a fair crack of the whip.

The Ref for Saturday is........
The Ref for Saturday is........ .........half blind, just per usual. :016:

Dicky Hastings
Hats off to the loon , he has secured the left back spot for ICT after his wilderness years and IMO he has this place on merit....who'd have thought 12 or 18 months ago that Richard Hastings would be one of the solid backline which really picks itself , ****, looking at the tictacs threads everyone has him in there and even when 3/5/2 is mooted he's invariably got a few nods for inclusion on the left. Who was it famously once said " F**k off back to Canada"???? P.S. note to Dicky...keep yer head out of the clouds and yer feet on the ground and you'll be well remembered in years to come. :006:

Blackie
It seems so long ago we were lauding his tough no quarter given attitude to ball winning combined with some very good displays of driving runs and accurate passing , now the latter qualities are seldom on show and without those he does not bring an awful lot to the team - in fact as it's pointed out when he's on a yellow and is mouthing off incessantly at the officials then he's more of a liability than a help as his agrressive style is leading to an early substitution or the inevitable red caird. Wtf is up with the boy this season?
-
Tactics For Dunfermline
Regardless of tictacs and formations - unless the midfield ( whoever they may be ) are going to come and take the ball from Dods/Munro and play some passes through the middle of the park - then CC'd be advised to play 4 - 0 - 6 formation so when we are hoofing the ball up the park at least we have a better chance of finding one of our own men. :017:
-
Second Bottom, time to change things!
..hey thats fine but most of our midfield would prefer to play , and are probably better in the centre - if we had someone offering something different out wide then perhaps the centre wouldn't be requiring tweaked as often as it is... Just a thought.

Caley Thistle Roks!!
Surely now that Tulloch plc are moving their shareholding out of us and in to the general sports trust this doesn't really mean squat to us , does it?

Yesterday's Support
I too experienced this in C section, which is by my own admission, not one of the noisiest sections of the main stand - unless we aren't doing too well of course which was the case yesterday. I heard a lot of shouts from the same few individuals I think and it was one of these shouts which provoked a response from CC himself, during a quiet period of play on the field - a response which was a bit x rated and indeed easily audible to the front sections... Now I can't condone the idiots who don't get vocal unless they're having a go at ICT staff, but CC has to watch how he handles this type of thing in the future or it will further alienate him from some already indifferent sections of the home support.

v Arabs
I thought Bayne ( apart form missing a couple of reasonable chances) had a pretty effective game, he held up or layed the ball off to Dargo on numerous occasions - the trouble being that Dargo was so frustrated at being 25 yards out with the ball and two defenders in front that he was taking pot shots from that distance all afternoon , why wasn't one of our 'class' midfielders running onto the Bayne lay offs and sending Dargo through with a slick pass?? Wilson was pretty woeful today but he has been very good lately so I suppose this one was coming, although his tendency to drift infield didn't help poor Rosscoe who was up against two United players on his side when they were breaking... Also i thought it was questionable that we finished the game with three natural left sided midfielders , must be rare these days that one team can have so many yet remain so ineffective. Perhaps a slight imbalance ther Mr C.
-
Does Wilson Not Like Brewster???
If Black can perform consistently at the level he has so infrequently been capable of then fair play he can earn us some cash as he moves to Chelsea or Man U , however if he continues with his unspectacular form of the season so far, and the indisciplined approach to referees decisions continues then I think he'll be showcasing his talent from the bench, or stand!
-
Dods
If they really wanted Dods ( more than puir wee Proc ) I'm sure they could cough up more than 35k...they have got more than that haven't they??

SPL 2ND Tier
I think ( hope or fear?? ) that this is the first move in a series of actions which will infinitely speed up the process of regionalising the leftover SFL teams and creating a semi-professional second tier in the new 'pyramid' system which has been mooted for a long while now , SPL1 and 2 is temporary IMO , we will eventually see an expanded single SPL of 14 or 16 teams ( 18 if they listen to UEFA ) with a more universal two up two down at the end of the season - with a playoff place as well probably.

David Proctor To Leave Next Week
I too believed that Proctor showed potential in his early displays in an ICT jersey, but I'm afraid his star didn't really shine bright enough to fullfil his destiny in a red and blue strip.
