Don't forget to mention that before ICT reached the SPL, the club from the 'hamlet' and surrounding areas had for season after season more fans than the Inverness club. And offcourse if the SPL club ever dropped out of the top flight the recent influx of shoppers..*cough*.. supporters would probably return to what they do best too. It's also rumoured that at Dingwall turnstyles if you told them you married your cousin they counted you twice.

are they unhappy? black said only a few days ago he wanted to sign on for another 2 years as gratitude for us saving his career we may have three unhappy players if we are to believe that they would be interested in talking terms with ET and are being refused permission to talk. There is a lot of misinformation floating about which naturally is unsettling for those involved , and it looks like continuing in this fashion now that officialy the business is finished. So has Black signed his deal then?

The point seems to me to be are the players actually interested?...it wouldn't be hard for Brewster or anyone at Tannadice to leak information regarding wages or terms which could quickly find its way north...not tapping-up by any standards ,merely planting the seeds of discontent , devilishly low tactics if you're on the receiving end... ...so we may have three unhappy first team players on the books but after DS statement we may be unable to sell them to the only club who's interested. What are we to do??

...perhaps in the recent transfer dealings but as mentioned this was after we began talks with the payer, but around the January transfer window I think you'll find a lot of paper talk regarding CC and GB and the Rankin saga...both before and after the official approach ( which as we know was knocked back). It was definitely a case of using the media for our gain then.

It's very early to start castigating the incoming chairman for things that haven't even happened yet , but with his business record and far-reaching contacts I would hope there are more positives than negatives in the medium to long term of his tenure. The issue of foreign players comes with its pros and cons , but from the point of view of a small club with minimal revenues surely the chance of getting quality young players with potential for onward sale must be regarded as a reasonably low risk venture...if - and I'm sure the boss of a worldwide recruitment company can - get it done right.

Was there not also a problem, due to squad sizes being tight and if players were needed for the senior team that anyone registered for the HL would be unable to play in the SFL/SPL? I remember us being keen on the idea as the general opinion at the time was that the HL would be a better level for young / reserve players than the reserve league.

A game of chances missed I'm afraid, was it 4 chances in the first half ( two off post and one off bar ) ?. We murdered them 0-1 in the first half...the second half was pointless for us, at least Sheffield got a bit of fitness work as they ran rings around us which considering half Rossco's team were guests I didn't expect much fluidity or understanding between them and the ICT guys. Half-time entertainment was priceless and unfortunately everything after that was an anti-climax. JR - what a fat b@st@rd - did he used to play football or something??? Another thing - was Hislop trying to prove a point out there? He was running around like a daftie clipping defenders ankles after he came on....didn't go down well with the Blades captain , and I thought he could've injured someone the way he ws carrying on.

Apparently Tokely will make the Sheffield game , and depending on his training next week may be a starter against the SPL newbies. ...hope to make one friendly at least , but as i missed last years game against County i may be tempted to make them both , on two provisos - (1) the gods are kind and i don't get called out, and (2) there is enough liquid assets in the kids piggy banks to cover the second game!! :010:

If and when the deal is done then that will put the Hoolahan situation to bed...and with regards to Rankin, I have seen him play a few times, and on occasion he can be very good but when things aren't going for his team he can be a bit anonymous, but then would you expect anything else at County?? At his age he needs to make the step up before it's too late and I think if he wants to make it at SPL level then he couldn't find a better place to hone his skills...probably a good signing, possibly a great one, lets look forward to seeing the boy wear the red & blue stripes!

If we were at home, midweek to any of the top six teams this certainly wouldn't be happening, but as we are playing for pride alone now then the more the merrier...this years ST's have been of little joy to the holders .

It's a load of bull, generates a ridiculous frenzy over one single place in the league - and what in effect is at stake - the prospect of getting to play the OF / Hearts again ( possibly at home ) and getting a financial reward. It's also a bit cr@p that we will be away to Livi again in a matter of weeks, how exciting is that!? :?
