  1. ...the goal that secures ICT's SPL status? Saw tokleyisvictorious mention on another thread "the goal that keeps us up", so, (since I'm bored), decided to start a thread to get predictions on which player will get the goal that keeps us up.
  2. I wasn't sure how that'd work either. Suppose the most obvious way is if the 30 "regional" teams are divided up on a season to season basis, so each year the teams are split into 3 regions based on location. Would probably mean every now and then a side on the "border" of 2 regions moves from one region to another, but on the whole it'd probably work.
  3. Not a bad idea, but what happens if Ross County finish bottom of the Championship and lose to Berwick in the play-off final? What regional league do Ross County go into? The North would still have it's 10 teams since no one was promoted and obviously being relegated to the Central East league defeats the purpose of a regional system.
  4. Just looked at the fixture list on the BBC site and according to that if we win at Ibrox (optimistic, but you never know) and beat Killie Falkirk will be 4 points adrift at the bottom by the time they play next in the league - against us
  5. Particularly liked that comment. Not quite how I remember people's opinion on his return
  6. Robbo, personally was disappointed not to see you take over, but as you've said all ready TB has had a good start and hopefully the right job will come up for you soon. On the Inverness job, given the tight time scale with the transfer window closing so soon after a new manager was named, did you have players lined up to come in if you had be appointed? Obviously you're not likely to mention any names on here, was just curious if you had any "done deals" on the condition of you getting the job
  7. Robbo As a striker yourself and someone who sees plenty of our games, what do you think is potentially our best strike partnership is from what you've seen of our front players?
  8. Lucky we're playing Celtic then
  9. I thought he'd predicted a win for us too. Just got the scores the wrong way round. Been changed now to a Celtic victory, so we might win
  10. At least we have some positives from today. Came back twice, which shows the spirit is there in the squad, got goals, set pieces sounded dangerous, Vigurs, Esson and Mihadjuks in particular seemed to have good games. First time in ages listening to a game that there was excitement involved and I actually believed we could get something after going behind

Surely that would just encourage more of the punt the ball as far as you can tactics
  12. All the best wherever you end up next Barry. True ICT legend. Hopefully won't be too long before you're back here at the club in another role :018: ;) :thumb04:
  13. ;) :D :thumb04: :018: :015: No point posting what I was going to. You've pretty much said it all there
  14. True, he has scored a couple coming in from the left and hitting it with his right, but is it worth sacrificing natural width on either side for the sake of a couple of goals a season from that situation?
  15. Another point on Jamie Duff playing out of position - I remember in his first start (I think against Hamilton) when he had a solid game and looked good, but the one big mistake he made led to the goal people were saying about showing faith in him and giving him a run to boost his confidence and get over mistake. How is being played out of position and being run ragged, due to inexperience and not being a natural right back, going to effect his confidence? Especially considering when Tokely is back he'll most likely be back on the bench again
  16. Cowie and Imrie will cut back inside though because they're on the wrong side. Maybe if they were played with Cowie on the right and Imrie on the left they'd be more inclined to stay in wider positions because they'd be more comfortable on that side. Then again, Brew knows what he's doing. It's worked a treat so far this season at home, so maybe best leaving it as it is
  17. Brewster, Mourinho First thought when I opened this thread was how quickly will someone say Brewster? Surprised I had to scroll that far to see it Aside from Mourinho, it's pretty obvious a big, reliable central defender and some experience up front are needed
  18. Awful result, and performance from the sound of it. What had Barrowman done to merit a start ahead of Wood and Rooney? In fact, what has Barrowman done recently to merit a start ahead of McAllister? Listening to the game online it just never seemed like we were going to score and as soon as Dundee United did they'd coast to victory. I've never been a Brewster fan, but I'd have loved to be proved wrong about him, I just can't see him turning this around though. Still, the derby games against County will be one thing we can look forward to next season (looking for the silver lining )
  19. Not sure if this has been mentioned before but was just curious why the Leicester City badge keeps showing up on match previews and reports for opposing teams and if anyone else had noticed. Happened with Hamilton and now with Arbroath. Couldn't find a "pointless thread that no one cares about" forum to put this in, so figured I'd stick it here since the official site is ICT related.
  20. I was glad to see Jamie Duff starting. If nothing else, seeing him get a chance has to be encouraging to the other young players at the club looking on. Overall he had a decent game and made a couple of good challenges and looked like he was always looking for a pass out of defense. The lack of movement in front of him on Saturday didn't help much on that front. He made a big mistake for the goal. It won't be the last mistake he makes during a game and hopefully he'll put it behind him and be desperate to put in a performance this week if he's given the chance (which I personally hope he is). As people have said every player has made mistakes, it's part of the game. If it hadn't have been for that one moment I think there would have been a lot more people on here calling for him to be in the starting line-up again next week, because other than that he was pretty solid

I guess that explains the delay in sorting out his loan deal then. Good to see a 3 year deal for a player the manager obviously rates. Welcome to ICT Adam
  22. Andy Barrowman getting the first could be a good sign for us given the lack of experience up front. Either that or a wonder goal and man of the match performance from Lenny Jibby-Jabby (I spelt it wrong twice and gave up)
  23. ....No Munro or Maguire in it either. Maybe Brew's trying a 2-4-4 formation tomorrow :thumb04:
  24. Me + 0 probably
