  1. This was about as poor as it gets. We start again with Mackay up front and then proceed to fire high balls to him. It took us about 70 minutes to start passing it on the deck and put some attacks together yet never looking likely to score. For some reason we just looked off the pace from the start and there doesn't seem to be any movement or desire from the players. Lets hope we can get it together and not get drawn back into the relegation zone. Unfortunately it is not pretty to watch.
  2. I am shocked and disgusted with the way Grant (especially) and Russell have been treated. Both have given great service to the club but now discarded even though they still have much to give. To do this to Grant, a local boy who lives and breathes Caley Thistle is beyond belief. I only hope both can find new clubs quickly as mortgages etc don't pay themselves. The least the club could do now is offer Grant a testimonial to reward the loyal service he has given. I don't think releasing Golly and Roy was unexpected as they are both in the twylight years of their playing careers.
  3. Totally agree with everything you said. I thnk 11 v 11 we would have won the game.
  4. As soon as I heard he had dropped both Foran and Duncan I feared the worst. Although both these players have dipped in form over the last few games, I always feel we need their steel and agression. The slick passing game we had has desserted us and there is too much long ball play. Rooney will score goals for us if he gets decent service and support. In my opinion we badly need a playmaker but players with the vision and skill we need are thin on the ground. We are still in a great league position but it's time to start winning again as the teams below are closing in.
  5. Another great result by a team who never gives up. Fantastic goal from Hayes which no keeper could have saved. We normally come strong in the second half but yesterday we had to weather the storm. To me Eric does not contribute nearly enough and was a bistander for most of the game. I think Nick Ross was clearly missed from the team as he is an excellent passer and gets far more involved in the game than Eric. Shows how far the team has progressed when the old firm have only taken 6 points out of a possible 12 from us this season.
  6. What a brilliant result, well done to the whole squad and we almost nicked towards the end.
  7. The great thing about this result today was the quality of the football and the quatity of the goals. The last away game at Ayr was fantastic but today was notched up a few levels and we played the 3rd placed team from last season off the park on their home turf! The exciting thing is Foran is still to come back along with Tokely which will strengthen our squad. No failures today, eveybody gave a 100% and we all went home very happy!
  8. No complaints in the end as we faded in the second half and they probably should have scored more. Very happy with the overall performance and I think we will keep improving as the season progresses. I thought the defence was strong especially Esson and at times in the first half we gave a good account of our selves. Before the game I couldn't see who would score for us as we are a bit wanting up front but no real complaints and can't wait till we are back to full strength. See you all at Dundee next week!
  9. YYYYEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS Terry for manager of the year!
  10. Count me in & another three

My dad is in hospital now due to a heartattack reading this, i hope your happy
  12. Around 40 secs in. The guy at the start craks me up every tile :P :crazy02:
  13. This season is just getting better every game. I admit I couldn't see any way back but they have proved me wrong big style. Rooney is turning into a terrific centre forward, showing pace, strength, finishing and leads the line brilliantly. There are some big games ahead and at least it is now in our own hands. + 1 for the humble pie
  14. Esson Tokely Bulvitis Munro Golabek Sanchez Duncan Hayes Djebi-Zadi Rooney Odiambo :024:
  15. Anybody notice that Munro didn't wear the captains armband?
  16. What a woeful preformance. The only plus to take from the game was probably the points. Which is a good thing. It was horrendous conditions to play in but overall i thought we delt with that not to badly. MOTM - Odhiambo. I dont think so. I would give my MOTM to Rooney or Duncan as they stood out from everyone today. Any news on why Bulvitis is out as i dont think tokely is a great centre half. Also, anybody think Djebi-Zadi should take Odhiambo position to russell up defenders!? BRING ON THE C*UNTY!
  17. At the game yesterday and thought we played well. Looked like we had a game plan and as the game wore on we grew stronger and looked like it was going to be our day. As our previous encounters with Dundee we seem to lose composure when we gave away the first goal then and panic sets in. Dundee then seem to have a belief they can beat us and rack up the pressure. It's at times like this you are looking for the players to step up to the plate and be counted but unfortunately the ball is like a hot potato and nobody seems to be able to control/hold/pass it. I don't think we will go up this season (hope I am proved wrong) but I think there are signs the team will be a force next season. Rooney is one player who has improved immensely and looks physically stronger. If they can add a playmaker, somebody who can take control of the game within midfield I am sure we very difficult to beat.
  18. Agree with everybody, this is more like it and best game I've seen at home for a while. Still a little shaky at the back but even when they scored you felt there was still more goals to come. Sanchez was excellent today and has the potential to be really good playmaker. The players really go stuck in today and if we can keep turning in performances like this we will will be hard to beat. If he can keep the same squad for the next while I am sure it can only get better. Bring on the County.
  19. I think TB has to sort out the midfield possibly bringing in Duncan for Eagle to add a bit of steel. We don't seem to have a decent playmaker who can control the game and hold onto the ball. The first time I saw Sanchez I thought he might be the one to make things happen but in the County game he hardly got a look in. I haven't seen any away games this season but at home we never seem to dominate the opposition. It's still early in the season but we don't want to be falling too far behind the leading group and we really should be taking full points off Ardrie or Ayr if we expect to be making a challenge for promotion.
  20. So he has done well has he, relegation says it all, he had chances to keep us up but quite frankly blew it good style. Since then he has failed to identify the squads deficiencies and make signings to address these failings, instaed he has concentrated on signing unexperienced and untested youngsters. His wage budget could have been spent more wisely. What experienced players could we get for free though? Robbie Winters maybe. I cant think of anyone else for free that is experienced He wouldn't have had to sign so many if he hadn't let two like Vigurs and Wood go!! A considerable amount of TB's problems are self inflicted as I see it. I totally agree he should have kept Vigars and Wood who as far as I am aware didn't even want to leave. I don't think Foran is comfortable as centre forward as he would be far more effective working just behind the frontline. Does anybody think Lionel could be moved into midfield instead of full back where he can't do so much damage?
