I'd take Munro over Pressley in a heartbeat.

http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/758589 Sounds keen to stay with us so that can only be a good thing. Brewster seems happy to have him so I guess it is only a matter of time before we start shouting "ROO - NEY!" from the stand.

Yup! You coming up for it? I was just going to go to Archies.

Steven Pressley was a cracking defender 2 season ago in a team only a couple of places above us in the SPL. Now he is injured too much and past it. Hearts fans were delighted to see him away for the money they got for him. Both are no longer the player they once were and ICT can do better now than to offer him a deal. I honestly don't think he is good enough.

A lot of the cheap singles (which formed the old APEX) will have gone long ago. A fair few folk will be through from Keith, Inverurie, Dyce will be through for this game on those trains.

Hamilton will win the SPL and James McCarthy will sign for Real Madrid.

Cowie is happy where he is. For another season at least. Though I'm not too sure we will see him here in 2009 if he has another good run for us.

You are looking at the Pressley of old. He might have been a good player then but we saw last season how badly off the pace he has fallen. He would be a waste of a wage. We would get far better value for money signing someone with something to prove as opposed to someone who used to be good. Tell you what, Mike Teasedale was a cracking defender for us. Shall we bring him back to solve our defensive woes?
  9. This thread isn't meant to be about where the money should be spent. It is about our completely new forward line that, Rory aside, will be (almost) wholly new to the SPL.

    Surprised? No. Confused? Yes.
  11. By comparison no.
  12. The point is we don't know if the standards are similar. Indeed they might not be good enough and we, in the case of our young strikers, we need to buy in someone else like Jackson. It would be asking a lot of our relatively untried youngsters to take step up so quickly. They need to be eased in.
  13. No one has said we have no confidence in the youngsters in this thread. Odd comments regarding Andy Jacksons given 1) you initially thought he was on a youth contract initially only a few weeks ago and 2) You don't appear to think he is good enough based on the fact he has only played in SFL1 yet are happy to see youngsters with no experience of any kind thrown in at the deep end in the SPL! I admire your staunch loyalty to the youngsters at ICT Alex but they aren't the answer to everything.

Think it was a scorcher both days but probably worse at the Saint J match due to be crammed into the stadium with barely any room to move!

    An even better shout! :003:

He is wearing a vest! Keogh did the whole shebang! :015:

Ah right got you! There's a fair bit of work going around that area just now with the Union Square project ramping up a gear. Few restrictions and diversions in place and only set to get worse when Market Street has more roadworks at the start of August. Best thing is then to walk to either the Back Wynd off Union Street or another taxi rank to get a taxi. But the one way system around the station, depending on the time of day, won't add to much to the journey I wouldn't have thought.
  18. Indeed= Andy Jackson would be a good player to look at and if Brewster was to get ?150k to spend on a player I'd like to see us look seriously at Jackson as it would take almost all of that to shift him from Perth!
  19. http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/756695 Well worth an extension for me. And hopefully his contract negotiations will not be reminiscent of Duncan or Wyness!

    Thank God someone said it!
  21. With the exception of Rory all the rest of last season first team strikers have departed over the summer. Bayne, Niculae and Wyness have all left for pastures new and we will have almost a completely new striker force for the season ahead. Who will most likely fill the boots of others? Are they good enough to replace those that have left? And who else could we recruit to replace the departed?

What one way system? Taxi from the station (which has been refurbished by the way so things are laid out differently) would take you most likely to King Street and down Pittodrie Street or you will go along Park Street/Road and drop you off behind Pittodrie (like the number 14 bus) :003:

Did he do it as well? I thought it was just Keogh.

15 - 20 minutes walk. Or get a 1, 2, 13 (not 13A!) along King Street. Get off at Merkland Road. Or get the 14 which will take you to the back of Pittodrie by the **** Donald stand.
  25. He told me during a game of Uno.
