  1. 4,000 folk obviously couldn't find the stadium on Saturday then
  2. Were any of the former County youths playing for Liverpool? Alex Cooper for example.

Still nothing up there. Really looking forward to seeing the Aberdeen ones as well

  5. Smelt like the remains of a Sperm Whale.
  6. Behind the goals and before the concrete wall at the front of the stands. They sit at the edge of the grass of the pitch before the gravel.
  7. What would that prove? There are a few Falkirk fans on P & B that get tickets for Liverpool games and others that easily get Everton ones as well.
  8. Will they boo Rooney?
  9. RiG replied to ALSY's topic in Caley Thistle
Not really much to sing about in all honesty.
  10. What surprised me was that Brewster said that he wanted more crosses into the box for the strikers to attack. As far as I can tell, hoofing the ball up the park aimlessly isn't going to allow your team to get these sorts of crosses in unless you try and work it into the wide areas. I think we had one or two good crosses in the game on Saturday. One from Cowie that was headed away before Andy got there and it's that kind of stuff that I reckon he will thrive on.
  11. McGuire had a bit of a mix up with Tokely in the 2nd half that saw the two of them engage in a spot of verbals. They were not happy with each other.

Why? Hamilton have shown they will be no pushovers.

I would agree with that. Certainly recall Brewster being quoted in the P & J saying defenders were not being looked at. I think another defender would, along with Rooney and our already strong midfield, would give us a strong squad for the season ahead.
  14. I went: Tokely Cowie Black

Just going to copy and paste from P & B: Thought that was a terrible game where clear cut chances were few and far between. Hamilton had the best of these chances while we seemed to edge the amount of possession each team had but our final ball was very poor indeed. In the first half Hamilton had a couple of cracking chances including a glorious one for Offiong who somehow cleared the bar with his effort. It would have been easier to score and I couldn't believe it when the ball shot over Fraser's bar. Lucky escape there. On the rare occasions we did put in a good ball the Hamilton defence dealt with it. Barrowman looked set to bury a cross but an Accies defender nicked in at the last minute to clear the danger. The Hamilton goal came from a horrible error from Jamie Duff. The ball was heading out but under pressure from Offiong Duff attempted to put it into touch but missed it an Offiong strode towards goal under pressure from Duncan but he slipped the ball past Fraser into the far corner. Must be said - it was a great finish. McGuire and Fraser tried to boost Duffs spirits but you could see he was devastated. Into the 2nd half and Rooney came on for Duncan who was supposedly struggling for fitness. He had some good touches and looks like he will be a good signing for us but he was unable to draw us level. Our best chance of the 2nd half fell to Cowie who, from six yards out, seemed to slip as he hit the ball or simply shot into the ground as the chance went begging. Being a goal up saw Hamilton defend deeper in the 2nd half but they still looked dangerous when breaking. While we probably had the greater territorial possession we just did not deliver a telling final ball to test Cerny. Tokely had space in the box to put in a cross but inexplicabley chipped the ball straight into the keepers arms. And that was very disappointing from an ICT point of view. Hamilton sent in a few dangerous balls but support up front was lacking as they looked to preserve their lead which they did in the end. Brewsters decision to sub Cowie and not the very ineffective Imrie was an odd one. Might not have significantly affected the outcome of the game but it was clear that Imrie wasn't up for this one so leaving him on was a bizarre choice. Hugely disappointing performance from ICT. We just didn't seem to connect like we did at Pittodrie. Missing Munro was a huge blow for us but losing the first goal was even bigger. I had said before the game that if Hamilton scored first they would look to shut up shop and look to attack on the break. It's a situation that led us to have some horrific home form a season or two back. We just can't seem to break down teams inviting us on to them and that was evident again today. Also disappointing was the aimless long balls pumped forward to the long forward Barrowman who was easily marshalled by the Accies defence who were loving these aimless balls up to them. Imrie was very quiet. He got booed every time by Accies fans and was subject to a meaty O'Neil (?) challenge but it was good to see the two exchange a handshake later on. Duncan just didn't really get to grips with the game and McGuire again looked susceptible when under pressure. Hamilton, while not the most attractive of teams in terms of their style of football, were hugely efficient. Offiong was excellent up front, a real pacey threat that we struggled to deal with. Their defence was rock solid and Cery marshalled his back line well. In midfield they were strong and were always looking to play the ball into space for team mates to run on to. They did play a fair bit of long ball themselves but they carved out the better chances. Hopefully next week we can get some points against Hibs, a team we do well against in Inverness. A real day to forget today.
  16. Rose St. is at the front of the old safeways store. Faralane Park is where the bus station is and I'd expect the bus (as it isn't a scheduled service) would leave from Strothers Lane (old cinema opposite where JJB was). "where JJB was" - has Inverness really changed that much since I was last there or can I simply not remember anything of it!?
  17. Rose Street is the bus station isn't it?

Get a grip. Plenty of folk have commented on the apparent need for a new defender. It's not a stick to beat Brewster with. He has done well with this Rooney deal (certainly looks like he will be a good find) but we do need another defender at the back to help tighten things up. It is a weakness that needs to be addressed. We have a strong midfield and now we have an extra bit of competition up front as well as two keepers vying for a spot between the sticks - all good things. Hoping that a new defender arrives but being worried by it not being likely to happen (something Brewster himself admitted) is hardly "praying for failure" Sorry for going OT somewhat.

Happy with this. New signings lift the fans an encourage the players to work harder to retain their place. A new defender now please before the end of the month!

Really? When was this? I am trying to mind what he got sent off for in the St. Mirren game. I thought it would have been a one game suspension? *goes back to sleep*

Surely Proctor will come in for Munro if he doesn't make it?
  23. The first game of last season spring to mind when Rangers beat us 3-0. It may be that they are waiting for the Champions League draw to be made. If Celtic have a game on the Tuesday after they play us, the game with ICT will probably be Saturday lunchtime. Otherwise it will probably be Sunday afternoon. Good point there. Guess they might be waiting for the CL draw to be made so they can see when Celtic are playing.
  24. While more than likely true I just find that funny
  25. Cheers peeps. I've got a gig in Glasgow on Saturday night so it means an early start for the game on Sunday (if it's moved) or possibly missing it altogether. I can't mind the last time we played either of the Old Firm on a Saturday in the league.
