Gretna--Rowan Alexander finally gets his settlement
80 - 90% of the rumours you read on P & B are rubbish by the way...

ICT Ground Crew
Likewise from Aberdeen would be dandy...

That tackle
I'm trying to find it on YouTube as I mind it being a pretty horrific challenge. Willing to be corrected though.

Richie.......
I trust you have sufficient evidence to back up your claim that Mr Hart is a convicted drug user?

That tackle
Disgusting challenge. Keane, Gerrard and thon Romanian bloke who destroyed Kennedy would be proud of him no doubt.

Ben Foster
Both Tim and Kasper are/were relative unknowns when they were signed. You are talking about a rising English star who has been capped (I think), starred for Watford last season and is a future Man United star. A completely different class of player to what you have mentioned. Ma - Kalamby was released by Chelsea reserves so not really a direct comparison and neither is the United keeper because of his age. factor in the wages as well and you can see why it is simply a pipe dream to think about getting him.

But you're still missing the point. Everyone wants to see their team win as many games as possible. Gretna have seldom come close to achieving this. The games they have the best chance of winning haven't been won and that is what is sealing their return to SFL1. Their season will be dictated by the results they gain against ICT, Falkirk etc. and they are results they haven't gotten yet and haven't even looked like getting. Their performances have been very poor and they haven't looked like a team that can win.

Bayne as centre half
With all due respect to Bayne he isn't one of the greatest players the UK has ever produced.

Managerial Question
USE YOUR MODERATOR SUPERPOWERS TO STOP THIS HAPPENING AND SAVE THE WORLD!!! :001:

Thanks TM4TJ. That is the key difference Jock. Regardless of our results against the OF we have easily taken care of Falkirk and Gretna. Gretna have struggled in the games they have to win if they want to stay up having lost twice to Falkirk, St. Mirren and of course getting thrashed by an ICT side barely out of 2nd gear.

Managerial Question
I don't think that is the prupose of the thread.

Bayne as centre half
This is worse than some of TinCanFans suggestions!

Duncan as Captain
What about Cowie? He was captain at County but perhaps his length of time at ICT would go against him.

Rangers -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Apparently Rankin hasn't had a packet of crisps or a chocolate bar since he was 14. No idea if this is true or not but I was told this at the weekend.

Subs
Which would be the point I am getting at :004:

Ben Foster
The more you post stuff like this the more I think you have to be on the wind up. And very bad wind ups at that.
-
Subs
Indeed and kudos to him for that decision. However, how often have his late subs turned a game for us and for United when he was there?

I see what you are saying but turning in a good performance against the OF counts for nothing if you don't get something out of it. Gretna didn't but, additionally, they can't win their bread and butter games against sides of "around their level" in the bottom half of the table. In fact in these games they have been torn apart by the lesser teams. It is results against the likes of us and Falkirk etc. that will shape their season not Rangers and Celtic. And currently they are being easily dispatched by ourselves and the rest. I don't hold out any hope for them whatsoever.

Performances count for hee haw at the end of the day. Fact is that they might have put in a good performance against Rangers/Celtic but they got no points from these games. Since then they have been thumped by ourselves, easily dispatched by Falkirk and St. Mirren somehow only scored once against them. When teams around them at the bottom of the table can soundly beat them putting up a decent fight against Rangers or Celtic counts for absolutely nothing.

Rangers -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Sounds like a pretty standard win for Rangers then. Some of the changes were quite foreseen to say the least! Hopefully we will have Cowie (at least) back for the next game. As others have said we aren't expected to get anything from these games so I wouldn't worry about it. However lets hope what ever wrongs that can be forgotten about in games against the Old Filth can be eradicated for games against Motherwell/Falkirk etc.

Team for Rangers Game
I like the look of IHEs team. Maybe stick McGuire in there instead of Proctor. TinCanFan - Hastings at right back? :017:

Which keepers ball sup was worse? Fraser or Zibis the other week? :015:

Team for Aberdeen Game
Defence shoddy. Lacking final penetration in the final third of the pitch. The phrase clutching at straws springs to mind. There was only one winner tonight. It was never going to be ICT sadly.

Aberdeen -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
The Wyness Shuffle and myself are drunk! Both gutted! Several Coronas have not helped numb the pain of that result! Aberdeen just put away their chances. Our defence was shambolic. We never penetrated The Sheep in the final third and that was the telling sign of the game.
