  1. Interestingly the odds have just been suspended and removed - will interesting to see what appears next....
  2. Once I can extract my PayPal password from my wife I will be signing up again also - must admit I have been meaning to return the paper form for several weeks now but just not got around to it - great idea and shows what can be done with some determination, dedication and technical support (unlike my paper application).... edit: signed up :thumb04:
  3. has a vast network of contacts in the game but has he ever managed? would love to see him as assistant manager if not If not Robertson then both Knox and Calderwood appeal to me (but I don't think Calderwood is in contention) and if Knox is a serious candidate then he would be a good appoitment from a coaching perspective - interestingly the latest odds have changed again - they now show Ardiles as favourite just ahead of Robertson and McCall third....and Herr Krauss has appeared on the list.... Ossie Ardiles 2 John Robertson 5/2 Ian McCall 4 Terry Butcher 9/2 Barry Wilson 6 Archie Knox 8 Gordon Chisholm 11 Bern Krauss 12 Willie Donnachie 12 Chris Sutton 14 Derek McInnes 14 Kevin MacDonald 14 Charlie Christie 16 Steven Pressley 16 Eric Black 16 Neale Cooper 20 Colin Calderwood 20 Stevie Frail 20 Bruce Rioch 20 Maurice Malpas 22 Alex Rae 22 Colin Hendry 25 Jim Duffy 25 Derek Adams 28 Duncan Shearer 33 Craig Brown 33 Steve Paterson 33 Bobby Williamson 33
  4. I think they meant Ben Cross it just somehow got lost in translation....maybe craigieboy was the source.....
  5. Interesting article that from 2002 - the other candidates listed were John Robertson (Livi), Alan Kernaghan (Clyde) and Ian Wilson (Peterhead) - all ex-players and none of them are working as football managers at present as far as I am aware.... Wikipedia even states that Ian Wilson disappeared only to be spotted on a beach in Turkey in 2008 - I know it is slightly off topic but is that wiki truth or bluff - anybody know? Ian Wilson - Wikipedia
  6. I assume the club had somebody at the game tonight watching our potential opponents? Usually the manager or his assistant would attend these games - otherwise Northern Jaggie could you fax your match report to 01463 227479 FAO Mr G Bennettt Esq. - cheers
  7. Here's a seaman joke. Strewth that takes me back a few years - the 1995 Cup Winners Cup Final - I remember seeing that goal being scored on a ferry that had just left Santander in Northern Spain heading to the UK. Managed to see the whole game before we were too far out and lost reception. I also remember that we stayed a couple of nights at a camp-site that was located on the cliffs overlooking San Sebastian and was amazed that you could get british football commentary on the car radio albeit not the best reception quality....
  8. Is it Prunty never played 100 games for ICT - the others have all played at least 100 games
  9. What kind of compensation would a club like villa be looking at for O'Neill....
  10. 3-1 in the end.... There might indeed have been a suspicion of hand ball with Prunty's goal....
  11. Still would prefer to see Robbo over your man - nice lad though he is I am not sure if this is the right time for him - I might well be wrong but if he does get the job good luck to him....
  12. So what you are saying is a different type of villian will be in charge by Monday - I hope you got your bet on at 11/1
  13. You know when one of the headlines earlier in the week said "Wilson favourite for Caley Thistle job" I thought the same thing.... :thumb04: If the old man turns down an approach - i'd be happy to oblidge. After all, I'm a bit more local than the old man.... You could still be his assistant.... :018:
  14. Surely not the Marriott country club?
  15. You know when one of the headlines earlier in the week said "Wilson favourite for Caley Thistle job" I thought the same thing....
  16. There can only be one response to that.... Oh yes he is....
  17. CAPTION: IHE's mate's blind date is more successful....
  18. WIN or more exactly "Who wants a win bonus again this week?"
  19. CLASS.... I reckon he could be a Daily Record Sports journalist - he should replace Chick Young on the Scottish footie sports blog on the BBC web-site....
  20. caleyrule Donnachie was sacked by Millwall in late 2007 so I guess that is why he is on the bookies list as well as he is scottish and incidentally he was at the 1978 finals....but he did come home earlier than Ardiles as I recall and without a pot....
  21. CAPTION: Blind date turns out badly for both parties.....
  22. Club Statement BBC Item There is a statement on the club site and also being reported now by BBC that appointment will be next week after interviews over the weekend....today's media conference was cancelled due to football business....
  23. I think that will be bum bag or hip pack.... By the way you may not be alone - there may be a few other fat guy's with baseball caps at the match.... Enjoy the match and don't forget to pick up some ICT merchandise.... :thumb04:
  24. Exactly - where's Hertfordshire again....? :thumb04:
  25. - spot on about the size of the war chest available to the new manager when he is announced....I assume Louie was never really in the running then?
