Has to be (vertical) stripes for me .... A predominantly solid red or blue kit makes us look too much like other teams in the SPL. I would have no problem if we wanted to alternate our away kit in blue or red/black but our main kit and main identity is both red and blue and that has to be accomodated.
  2. A Toronto FC win tonight would be good - they face Colorado Rapids at "***** Sporting Goods" park in Colorado tonight coming off the back of a good 2-1 win against New York Red Bulls on Thursday night where finally Collin Samuel showed his potential !

  9. I like that comment from CB.
  10. Our record goalscorer, a certain Mr Wyness also took forever to get his first. Marius will come good, and when he does I get the feeling he will score regularly.
  11. Having seen the video of the incident on you-tube, that would be my response to Dida .... "YOU TUBE !!!" Gordy - agree with what you say about much of it. The fan shouldn't have got onto the pitch, and he certainly shouldn't have approached or touched the player and I am sure his life ban from Parkhead and whatever the courts throw at him will make him realise that .... but bottom line is that Dida is indefensible ... he was touched/patted/slapped .. use whatever word you want and if hurt should have gone down on the spot, yet instead, he chases after the guy and when he realises he wont catch him goes down as if hit by a sniper's bullet !! If he actually caught him, what was he going to do ? Dida may actually be Celtic's saviour in all of this ... if he had gone down on the spot, clutching his face after clearly being patted by the fan, UEFA would probably have no option but to fine Celtic heavily and award the game to Milan 3-0 but his antics and fakery - at a time when UEFA are monitoring things like this (eg. Mikoliunas) - has probably meant that Celtic will "get away" with a heavy fine for crowd control violations and nothing more. The Milan chairman knows this which is why he is not making a big deal about it, but I wouldnt be surprised if Dida has to pay some price for this at Milan.
  12. At least Dida is on the mend ..... [attach=1]

  23. Personally, I have always been of the opinion that Charlie Christie was a great player, and a thoroughly decent bloke. He was thrust into management when he didnt really want it, but the lure of managing a team he had been with since it was formed, as well as persuasion and good words about his ability from people in the game he himself trusted and admired made him take the job. The stats show that Charlie didnt do a bad job, his record was as good as the other two who had managed us in the SPL (JR & CB) but the very slow start to this season and - if we believe what we hear - behind the scenes politics as well as family pressures became too much for him in the end. He is and always will be an ICT legend. Brewster has made an immediate impact, that cannot be doubted. 6 games, 4 wins, 2 defeats, and for the last 3 games, perhaps more, a flair about the side that is encouraging. There is a long way to go and this could be a false dawn but how is it that he is getting so much more from the very same players ? For me, I think it is two-fold. Firstly, I dont think Charlie was as ruthless as Brewster can be and certain players may have taken their places for granted and just gone through the motions. Secondly, and no-one ever disagreed about this, Brewster is a fitness nut and this was an area where we were starting to look like we had lost it a little. Combine these two factors along with the notion that everyone has a clean slate (Morgan for example) and we see a team that is now scrapping for points the way it used to and players who know that they have to perform or they dont play. A little bit of luck as previous posters have said also helps !!!
  24. For once in his life (or maybe a few more times than that) I think you will find that the post attributed to the "web persona" called Immortal Howden Ender [iHE], is actually from the "real person", Johndo. He has not come on blaming everyone but himself for the situation he found himself in, he has put his hands up to his behaviour being a reaction to what was said to him especially given his apparent selection as a person who should be targetted for removal. I am sure he is also big enough and ugly enough to deal with whatever repercussions there may be. Plenty of people have expressed support for him and have borne witness as to their opinion of his demeanour, behaviour, and level (or lack thereof) of intoxication. If Johndo has been charged, I would caution people to be careful in what is said as it is a 'criminal matter' until such time as it has been dealt with. Moderators can and will edit/remove postings if required in the same way as we had to do with both the Richie Hart and the recent Arbroath incidents. I would recommend that you contact Johndo privately if you have anything legitimate to say to him that could be used in his defence rather than openly state it on here.
  25. Falkirk's goals came from Arfield and Milne ... when did we sign them ? ICT 0-3 Rangers (0 og / 0 pen) Well 2-1 ICT (0 og / 1 pen) St Mirren 2-1 ICT (0 og / 0 pen) ICT 0-3 Dundee Utd (0 og / 2 pens) ICT 3-1 Arbroath (0 og / 0 pen) Hibs 1-0 ICT (0 og / 1 pen) Celtic 5-0 ICT (1 og / 0 pen) ICT 2-1 Hearts (1 og / 0 pen) ICT 3-0 Gretna (0 og / 0 pen) ICT 4-2 Falkirk (0 og / 0 pen) So out of 20 goals scored against us this season - 4 have been from penalties and 2 have been own goals, Dont think that constitutes "half" or even "nearly half"
