nope thats a complete cop-out. The status of CJT or any other body is irrelevant. The club should be communicating through their website, twitter, facebook, instagram, email mailing lists or any other customer Db they have. If they choose to publicise information through CJT, CTO, traditional media ... or any other interested third parties or some combination thats fine too but it should not be their primary tool. When they seemingly go OTT on something that seems trivial on the face of it and then have complete radio silence on a matter that many fans and shareholders might find interesting or indicative of our future plans or direction then this just opens the whole floor up to the conspiracy theorists to wonder why it happened and why there was nothing said? Your explanation makes sense, so why not just say that ....

I was trying to stay out of this debate, but just have to bite at this one. sorry : Charles - if this is the case with Danny then its a pretty significant change within ICT and seems to merit a press release far more than this most recent one. Hell, it doesnt even take more than a couple of sentences to portray the loss of the COO and - by your account - his replacement with the commercial manager in a positive light !!! If you say something along the lines of "Danny is moving to be Academy director to oversee the Brave project, this will hopefully help develop more young players of the calibre of Ryan Christie or (in time we hope) Daniel Mackay that this club needs to survive. we will always be a selling club blah blah blah .... Jim Oliver will have increased responsibilities on the commercial side as we seek to further encourage that side of the business" . This stops any rumours dead in their tracks and shows the board have a clear plan or vision for the future. MY only questions on this would be ICT or Highland Football Academy? Instead we get another half-baked statement about fan behaviour that literally wags a finger and says nothing of note. If there was an incident then the security or police personnel at the stadium deal with it. If there are found to be ICT fans involved then the club can make a comment or take action later. issuing a statement like this - much like the twitter porn thing - simply alerts the press to make the most of what is typically a nothing story. There is a time to make statements, and a time to listen and gather facts quietly. I would suggest that the club consider using the latter a bit more.

no photos but I do remember that the logo for the Eastgate Centre was designed by one of my classmates at the High School. There was a competition to design it - cant remember if it was open to all or just for schoolkids - and the winning entry was a certain Colin McNeil of Fairfield Road. Son of Mr McNeil the techie teacher at the high school, and after leaving school and uni he became a well known illustrator of Judge Dredd for the 2000AD comic. Wonder if my mum kept any of my old school jotters .... he used to draw all over them when we were bored in class .....

I have never understood why we did not think laterally. The central belters baulk at travelling 3 hours up the A9 ... so with direct cheap flights to other parts of the country like Bristol, Manchester, London, Belfast, Birmingham or European spots like Dublin or Amsterdam ... why not look there. Its less travel time ion many ways .... and perhaps more hunger from players looking to progress
