*** VOTING IN THE POLL ABOVE IS FOR PEOPLE WHO WERE AT THE MATCH ONLY *** If you were at the match, please use the poll above to vote for your top 3 players. As a bit of fun, we have also added an option to rate the referee .... Please make sure you vote for 3 separate players. If you make an error, let us know so we can fix it. PLEASE ONLY VOTE ABOVE IF YOU WERE AT THE GAME Anyone caught trying to cheat the system WILL be banned from voting in ALL site polls...this is your only warning. **NOT at the game ?** As a result of requests received, we have made a slight change to how these threads work for site users who watched the game on TV or listened to the full game live on the radio ....... You too will now be able to cast your votes, but should do it in the thread below, and NOT in the official poll above. Just list the three players of your choosing and award 5,3, or 1 point(s). You can give the ref a mark if you want too ! These votes will NOT be counted in the official total, as we only count votes from those who where actually at the game, but it IS a way for you to participate in the process .... which many people asked for .... a happy medium we hope !!!!!

Significant Milestone for ICTFC as Tulloch Agrees Transfer of Stadium Lease
Scotty replied to ICTFC's topic in Caley Thistle
not 25 years. The stadium was not renamed until around 2000/2001 - sure someone will confirm exact date ... and the deal asked for and granted at the AGM back then was for 5 years naming rights in return for a cash injection. I could be wrong, but I dont recall ever seeing a motion in the AGM agendas over the years to extend the naming rights for a further period so I am making a rather large assumption that no-one else has actually asked about investing enough cash to secure the ongoing naming rights and we simply kept calling it the TCS. As Don has mentioned above, he did a real deep dive into the 'smoke and mirrors' of the vanishing debt and other things a few years back ... so deep that he ruffled a lot of feathers at the time and since. Anyone who knows Don, knows that he is like his avatar of the time which was a dog with a bone and he was not going to stop till he got to the bottom of things. He did get there in the end, and I also had things explained to me so I am confident that things were done for the right reasons. The accusation that Tullochs were only in this for Tullochs alone or that there is some nefarious plot to kill the club is bullshit in my opinion but let me track back a bit first. I have no doubt whatsoever that Tullochs were indeed in it for what they could get over the long term, especially given the local plan for this portion of the longman which is slowly taking shape in certain portions. I have posted that plan several times and I am sure it is available online, but if its still in force, even loosely then yes, there is money to be made by whomever holds lands or property in the area. DFS is an intelligent man, and an astute businessman, BUT the idea that the club cannot profit alongside Tulloch is short sighted. The plan actually calls for the stadium to be at the heart of this area and it was not envisaged without one. We have complained about the shi**y unpaved and hard to get in and out of car parks for decades ... would it really be an issue to lose them if there was a viable alternative provided nearby or within safe walking distance? The handing back of the stadium and the stands ensures we do have control over that crucial parcel of land and if there is more development, whether leisure based as per the plan, or commercial in the area in the coming years then that is going to increase footfall over the whole area and could mean more potential revenue for the club in terms of their own commercial offerings on both matchdays and non-matchdays. -

will never tire of these videos : These were videos I took myself from the stands. The first was just after the 2nd goal was scored a few seconds ahead of the final whistle Waiting for the cup to be presented : A really long video of the presentation and aftermath

Its not really Canadians getting the better of the US ... its like the NHL (Hockey) and MLB (Baseball) where Canadian teams compete alongside US teams in a 'domestic' league spanning two countries. Our starting lineup for the final had 6 Americans, 1 Iranian, 1 Congolese, 1 Spaniard, 1 Italian, and 1 Canadian. The subs who came on were American, Panamanian and French ! It IS however the first time a Canadian based club has won either the MLS Cup or the Supporters Shield let alone both ... and with the American supporters blaming both Michael Bradley (USA Captain) and Jozy Altidore in recent weeks for their failure to qualify for the World Cup and dishing out dogs abuse to them at every turn, some of it disgusting and very personal .... it was great that Jozy scored the first and that Bradley was absolutely immense on the day. They definitely know that the TFC fans appreciate them ... Victor Vazquez getting the second goal deep into injury time to calm the nerves and kick of a huge celebration was also fitting as many see the former Barcelona and Brugge player as the final missing piece of the team from last year that got to the final only to fall at the last hurdle. My favourite part of the final was actually on the victory parade a two days later where Jozy - still drunk from Saturday - trolled our rivals Montreal, and declared himself TFC for life !

What is the current state of the MLS in N America?
Scotty replied to Scarlet Pimple's topic in General Football
this is a year old thread ... Dalglish left Ottawa in October I think. A Caley Thistle link to Ottawa was Ryan Williams who was their player of the year in 2016. -
Just a heads up before some people perhaps step over the line in their quest for an immediate reply from L_G. She has suffered a family bereavement in the last 24hours and it is unlikely you are going to see any posts from her for a while. As important a topic as this is, personal life has to take priority at times like this.

I have been made aware of several different viewpoints both on here and via my personal email and whilst I have no interest in being put in the middle of the situation, it is something that needs to be addressed. Having been a former committee member of the supporters club many years ago, I know many of those involved quite well and have no doubt that every single one of them does have the interests of the club and the supporters at heart even if - in true committee fashion - viewpoints or methods may be different and personalities may clash. Without apportioning blame, and removing all personalities from the situation, it appears that the rule templates we received from Supporters Direct were old and out of date and initially rejected by the FCA/FSA. It then took a while to get the right forms from SD as they had personnel issues and when we did get them, it then took a further period of time to get them approved and/or signed by CJT. Eventually, the forms were sent back to FSA/FCA but although they were fine, they could not be approved as CJT had not submitted financial statements for a number of years. We were essentially 'struck off' because of that. Moving past all the history ... it seems we need to get 3 basic things sorted : Election of a viable committee, financial records brought into a state where they can be verified and submitted for approval, and the rules to be approved once the other two items are in place. Anything else is irrelevant and a time robber. I will be back in Inverness over Christmas so I will definitely renew my lapsed membership if I can, and as I have said before, I will happily assist in whatever way I can in terms of maybe helping with getting things like forms and other bits and pieces online on here or elsewhere. Obviously I am not in a position to take on an official role from Canada but happy to help with things that can be done remotely like that.

Ok, how do we do this? and what if anything can CTO do to help or support those trying to get it done. A 10% voting stake in the club cannot be allowed to disappear in a puff of smoke just like that and CJT needs to be the voice of all fans not just for a few select members. For my own part, heres how I reckon we might be of some assistance on CTO if CJT does indeed begin to rebuild itself from the foundations up./ We are happy to give people a platform to discuss CJT on here or to promote it. (already offered it) We are happy to establish the 'groups' function within our software to give them whats in effect a website within a website (or to help them get their own back up and running) if required. (already offered it) We are happy to host and distribute membership forms and applications through our downloads section (or the aforementioned groups section). (already do that) If possible (need to check) we are also happy to add membership applications to the shop for purchase on here ... where payment can go direct to CJT and not through CTO (assuming they have at least a paypal setup) Much like the comments about our chairmen in another thread, this is a situation where egos, parochialism, or personal control issues need to be put aside and cannot be allowed to negatively affect the body that the people involved have signed up to show good governance for on our behalf. I know CaleyD and Davie are very forthright and direct, and that bluntness may rub a few people up the wrong way at times, but both of them have shown on numerous occasions with their roles in the ICT arena that they have skillsets we could do with sorting this out. Caleyboy - you have also asked some very pertinent questions at the most opportune moments and I am sure there are many others who could bring something to the table, or to the discussion.
