"Charlie Isn't The Man For The Job"
:fighting03: :fighting04: :fighting03: :fighting04: Sandy, even someone as naive as you cannot fail to notice the fact we are paying the lowest wages in he SPL and from that fact alone we are defying SPL hierarchy, thus punching above our weight. In no way am I "selling ourselves short" but on the flip side you seem to want to undermine ICT's achievements so far, and fail to realise that we have a long way to go before we can class ourselves as an SPL club. How you can say that our players are SPL standard and then go on to say that we need to refresh the team in January is a total contradiction.

"Charlie Isn't The Man For The Job"
Everyone has a right to their opinion, for and against, and if someone doesn't like someone's point of view then they can post it. No one is being "shot down" or "dismissed" there are just more people that disagree. What annoys the **** out of me is how bozo, midge and the rest of the boo boys only ever appear on this site when things aren't going well and ask for the manager's head. Yet when we were on an unbeaten run and they had nothing to complain about the board was remarkably quiet :024: I think Clacher's post is fair enough (although very negative) because he gives an explanation rather than the rest of mob who just don't seem to want to give Christie a chance. :protest: :protest: :protest:

The Curse Continues....
as I keep mentioning on numerous threads Christie has collected more points in his time in charge than Brewster did... that doesn't seem to be much of a curse.

Takeovers
Last 2 seasons Man U and Chelsea, this season Aston Villa & West Ham and it seems likely that Liverpool and now Man City will be taken over by big investors. And I'm not talking about kid on investors like Romanov who still hasn't really dipped his hands in his pocket despite making plenty of empty promises. Surely the SPL must realise that we are missing out big time by having a crappy league format. Man City aren't even a major club and 70 million might be getting invested..... 70 million :010: can you imagine what an SPL club could do with that sort of money. Scottish football is suffering badly and has done for quite some time because the decision makers are too cowardly to make the right decisions.. I'm getting sick and tired of watching the EPL get bigger and bigger while the SPL looks more and more like a pub league. your thoughts?

Daily Record Article on Dargo
Would have agreed with you last season but this season Dargo has been the shadow of himself, he doesn't do half as much running as he did when he first joined the club and unless he gets the ball dropped at his feet infront of goal he generally gives it straight back to the opposing team. I think the Hearts game was the best I've seen him play this season but to say he gives his all every week isn't true. Saying that, I do agree with what Dargo has said, the service to him has been terrible but he should not be saying this to the press he should be shairing his views with Charlie.

Daily Record Article on Dargo
"my door is always open if he wants to have a chat about anything" nuff said... he should be speaking to Christie not the press

The Curse Continues....
Na I'm the same, really liked Proctor when he was at the club and thought he would be a cracking player for us in years to come but he was obviously promised the world by Brewster... Still, interesting none the less that Robson seems to be the only player/manager to escape the curse

Dargo Airs his Views
If he has problems he should speak to Christie not the papers... I can understand Hart and Duncan going to the papers because they are just trying to get back into the team. Dargo has openly criticised Christie to the press there is a difference... he should be fined and told to keep his mouth shut in future IMO

Any news of when we're likely to receive the replies to our questions?? after last weekend it would be nice hear something positive from the club

Start charging the players?
"Latapy has played in the centre most of the season and although occasionally drifts left he is not a winger" (I sit beside a Falkirk season ticket holder at work). As I already said I do rate Latapy as a player but not for ICT, especially when we have Black showing a lot of potential. The one thing our team is crying out for is pace and a bit of enthusiasim from the midfield. I am not being dissmisive to "good old pros" I'm sure we will be looking for one when Dods leaves to replace the void in defence but not for the wings.
