  1. Nevermind Tokely as a forward ( ), I'd play Zander upfront. Let's face it all Dargo really offered upfront was some real pace and Zander has it in abundance. It would be a good learning experience for Zander to play as a striker/winger anyway, if works for Henry it works for me :023:
  2. Impossible to tell until we get our replacements in
  3. Only for players that use it in this way, the likes of Tokely & Munro have shown that the club means more than just that and I'd have 11 of them on a pitch over 11 Dargo's anyday! F*ck'm!
  4. I think what annoys me more than anything is that this club is crying out for a 'Legend', although we have players that have excelled in lower divisions Dargo could have made himself a hero to all ICT fans forever if he had contributed 2/3 more years with a decent goal scoring ratio. There is no doubting he has the the ability to score goals at the highest level and has scored some absolute corkers against the likes of Rangers that will never be forgotten but when it comes down to it all that really matters is the money. As Grassa has said our offer will match any team in the SPL outside the OF and would have left him extremely comfortable for the rest of his career. He has had this offer for months now and knew exactly how much he was valued by the club, him (and his agent) have used this to bend us over a barrel and even when we adhere to the demands he makes us look like a bunch of mugs. If he had any decency he could have cleared this up months ago before swanning off on his holidays to come back and give the answer that we all knew was coming anyway. Don't get me wrong I am also not happy with the way the club has dealt with this and although Dargo has ripped the pi55 (IMO) they made it extremely easy for him to do so. If anything good has come from this seasons transfer/contract business it will be that Grassa, CC, Savage etc. learn to CONDUCT ALL BUSINESS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. Seems every transfer we are involved in becomes public knowledge in a matter of days and this whole ' will he, wont he' saga that has been publicly dragged out in the papers has no doubt given Dargo, Dods, Brown the ego to think they are bigger than the club when truly they are not!! We will move on and no doubt find replacements for these guys, as always, but the way this was handled has been extremely unprofessional and the club has been very naive to be lead on a merry dance by Dargo and his agent.
  5. I'm positive Buchanan will be signed, Burchill would be a possibility :024:
  6. The issue is not with ex-players but the way the club is walked over by certain players, Wyness getting booed is inexcusable but Dargo has had a whole season to make his mind up about this and has been offered as good an offer as he is likely to get in Scotland. He then fecks off on holiday only to come back with the same shyte, why could he not have made it clear at the end of the season so we could go about his business in finding a replacement. I think the club have made it easy for him to make us look like idiots but Dargo could have easily settled this issue months ago.. I know everything comes down to the money on the table but is it too much to ask for some sort of loyalty?? f*ck'm!
  7. Anyone else getting pi55ed with this?? f*ck'm i'd rather we spent our time trying to find someone that wants to play for the club. For the money that is being offered we could probably sign 2 very decent players instead. Personally I don't have that much of an issue with Dargo but his agent is clearly messing us around, I hope Grassa, Savage etc. takes this as a final answer and moves forward
  8. If you didn't go here's a few photos of what you missed... ... an absolute belter of a weekend :clapping03:

    Robson

Robson is the best left winger in Scotland at the moment IMHO
  10. Main difference is...........you know you got a job to go back to on the monday morning! I think the club has showed weakness over this whole saga. He has taken the ****, as he has had about 4-5 "deadlines" which have come and gone. He has had 6+ months to have decided what to do. Call his bluff and force his hand :clapping03:
  11. Legend... all the best :003:
  12. Probably mean bu66er all to Dargo, hardly think he will a threat to a proven SPL goalscorer - yet. That is of course if he stays eh? Yip Grassa said from the start that we would be looking for another striker despite Dargo's decision.
  13. Not sure if this has been posted before but it seems quite relevant, seen it on Sky Sports News of late and seems to be getting a lot of media attention because of how well it works in Germany LINK :003: Make sure to sign the petition.. "We the undersigned, call upon the Football Licensing Authority, Local Authorities, and football clubs, to work in partnership with supporters, to resolve the problems related to standing at football matches. We recognize that many supporters prefer to stand, as this helps to create the unique atmosphere of British football. We also appreciate that some supporters prefer to sit, and do not wish their view to be blocked by those in front standing. We are concerned that sanctions threatened by the FLA, such as reduced capacities, will affect all supporters, and that restricted ticket allocations for away matches could lead to visitors obtaining tickets in home areas, with the potential for disorder. We ask that decisions as to the acceptability of standing be based on objective safety assessments at each ground, to be undertaken with the involvement of supporters. We consider that in most cases there is no significant safety risk from supporters standing in front of their allocated seats. We consider that any solution should provide choice, by agreeing areas for supporters who wish to stand, and for those who prefer to sit. We would like to see standing accepted in these areas, for a trial period of at least one season. We are prepared to adhere to a reasonable code of conduct in relation to standing in seated areas."
  14. Into The Sun by Planet Funk (Sky Sports Darts Theme Tune) OI OI OI!!
  15. This is exactly why I would not be devistated if Dargo did leave us (although I would prefer he stayed). I think that Bayne and Wyness would make a similar partnership to the Ritchie/Wyness partnership. If Dargo did leave I would expect 2 strikers to come in but I think we would still have a better strike force than a lot of the other teams in the SPL.
  16. Duncan has more than merited his place in the first team and deserves to keep it IMO, I also think Rankin is at his best coming from the left wing and drifting inside. Black benefits from having Duncan covering for him and gives him more of a licence to go forward, if anything Black needs to add goals (and discipline) to his game for next season. I don't expect Wilson to play as many games as he has this season and it is down to Christie whether he prefers Hart or Cowie on the right wing. My first team midfield at the moment would have to be: Duncan Wilson Black Rankin
  17. that really does get better everytime you watch it :001:
  18. I dont think anyone (well me anyway) was suggesting a revolving door of players each season but I think there are definite weaknessess in the side that could be addressed in the transfer market. Personally I would like to see us make a real effort for top 6 next season and IMO we need another striker (+1 if Dargo leaves), replacement for Dods (as mentioned by grassa) but also what are we going to do if Hastings gets injured?? I don't know a great deal about the youth team defenders that have been promoted but do we have a left back capable of filling in?? It obviously depends on the quality of players the 2/3 players brought in but if the money that has been made from players leaving the club is not to be spent on new arrivals then I would like to see it being put towards developing the club off the park. There are plenty of areas that are below the standard of the other clubs in the SPL, merchandising, marketing, youth development, training facilities, which all need to be updgarded.

  20. :021: :021:
  21. A lot less than last season.... 15 :017:
  22. Not going to make it through unfortunately but a couple of my mates are going so I'll found out how Zander & Rory faired from them.
  23. The SFA site doesn't have Zander in the squad although it doesn't look the site has been updated in a while
  24. "FINAL FAREWELL FOR UNDER 20s Scotland Under 20s have their last match tonight before heading to Canada next month for the FIFA U20 World Cup. Scotland meet Northern Ireland at Firhill Stadium in Glasgow on Thursday 24 May, kick-off 7.30 pm. Tommy Wilson's team will be going all out to prove they should be included in the squad for the tournament, as a final selection has yet to be made. The Irish are preparing for their forthcoming UEFA U21 campaign, and have selected an Under 21 squad for this match. Admission is £5 for adults and £2 for concessions." SFA Clicky I might be tempted to make an appearance
