  1. Are you lot having a laugh The captaincy of a team should be the top honour at any club for hard work and devotion to the team... and you would give it to Black because it might make him grow up:010: :010: Black is like a spoilt wee child throwing his toys out the pram and you lot would give him the captaincy to keep him quiet for a while... he already thinks the sun shines out his erse as it is. Robson has responded to the captaincy at United because he is 28, and has had time to come to terms with his ego. I thought that people asking for Christie's job after the first game of the season was the most ludicrous suggestion on this forum but... Black as captain :015: :015:
  2. Anyone have an idea of the settlement fee?? Gomis went for about 10k to United so hopefully it is less than that
  3. ... but we've played better football this season when Wyness and Bayne have been paired upfront
  4. Who are you PLG?? A Captain is named in the team to be a leader on the park and help the manager motivate the team and give you a kick up the erse when necessary. I think Dods has done a fine job of showing commitment on the park (although not too much off it). 1) Wilson seems to be the wisest of our players and certainly has the experience to lead the squad 2) Tokely certainly shows his passion for the club and certainly leads by example, playing through and injury, 300+ games etc.. 3) Munro will be a captain eventualy but at the moment he doesn't play like a leader on the park but hopefully he wil step up to the plate when Dodsy leaves 4) McBain.. I'm sure Kencar would love reading this :016: Say what you like about him but I think he is looking more and more confident every game, covers every inch of the football ground, I have never once seen his head go down, model professional and obviously has a good relationship with Christie Questions would be asked if Black was made captain and what example does that show to the other players... act like a tit and you will be rewarded... not a chance!! :006:
  5. Wilson knicked infront of Langfield and Langfield just swiped the feet away from Wilson... stonewaller if ever I've seen one and Gerry McNee has the cheek to say that he never thought it was... infact every single point he has made tonight I have disagreed with
  6. ERSE How can he say that was not a penalty... does he have a clue??
  7. Broonie Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Duncan Wilson McBain Rankin Wyness Bayne
  8. He's been caught out with headers evertime I've seen him play at centre half, he can play as much football as he wants but defenders are on the team sheet to primarily defend. You never know, now that Dods is out the squad Munro might become the more dominant defender and Caff can pick up the pieces. If any player deserves a break in the first team it is Caff but I'm not sure he's 'the mann for the job' :016:
  9. I've not managed to see him yet but I've heard good things regarding Guy Kerr
  10. Neither criticised the manager, only stated that they required first team football if they were going to stay at the club, while Dargo openly questioned the manager, which shows absolutely no respect. Wyness has been INJURED half the SEASON so can't really count the goals RATIO, and they have only played 4 times together as an upfront PARTNERSHIP and we have picked up 7 POINTS, which has kick started our SEASON! Before hand we couldn't buy a goal and were verging on RELEGATION.
  11. I hope he can prove me wrong but IMO we need a replacement for Dods... Caff maybe a better football player than Dod's but if he can't head the ball then we are going to leek goals.. especially when almost every team now plays with a 6ft something striker.. Nish, Sutton, Hamilton, Miller, Killen, Vennogor of Humpadink etc. Maybe if we were in a league where teams play football Caff would show his quality but unfortunately it will come down to long ball and if we don't have a "hoofer" at the back for set pieces and long balls we'll struggle
  12. Think you highlighted the wrong line there "Dargo was given the chance to commit his long-term future to Caley Thistle several months ago but has so far failed to sign." looks like his mind has been made up for a while now!! Out of the 3 players I care for Dargo the least, I think with Bayne and Wyness upfront we have looked more comfortable this season, similar to Paul Ritchie & Wyness combo, and for the fact he seems to be moaning his chops off it might be best for all concerned if he went. Fair play to the club for pulling out the stops to keep Brown at the club but I fear that other players will try the same tactics to improve their contracts now. If he turns down the offer then at least the club have done all they can to try and keep him here. I'd love if he stayed as he is the one player of real value in the ICT squad, if we can get him tied up to this contract and even if he decides to leave next season we could easily demand a big fee for him, not to mention he could be the first ICT player to get a full cap for his country, but if he leaves then fair play to him, we still have Fraser who is a very decent replacement. Dods has been excellent for us and will be a massive loss, IMO caff isn't up for the job so we will need to get a replacement and I think the board are going to have to dig into their pockets for this one because the chance of us finding another Dods on a free aren't likely.
  13. Leading on from Johnboy's thread regarding the ICT fans that clapped Brewster off the field on Saturday. Out of curiosity (for the people who couldn't make it) what would have been your responce??
  14. we'll never know if it would have worked or not but sometimes 2 many cooks spoil the broth ... anyways mistakes are made to be learned from, so hopefully next time we play Aberdeen we will go into the final 5 minutes with a 2 goal lead :003:
  15. I think any ICT supporter would like to punch Lovell right now. It's hard to comment as I wasn't at the game but from what I heard on the radio it sounded like Tokely was having a hard time and with the way that Hart and Clark get forward from defense he was probably just trying nulify their threat but as I said I wasn't at the game.... The thing is though RIG you are criticising the decision, which is easy to do after the dust has settled but what would you have done in that situation?? (apart from punch Lovell) as I said sometimes it is too easy to criticise
  16. that's a whole lot of posts :023: Fair enuff, but my point still stands what should he have done??
  17. And should there be room for the Manager's ego, drop's the best player because they don't get on,great for the team that is!! Leave out your top goalscorer because you've had a falling out sure the top manager's all do that :024: :024: :024: Sir Ferguson... Van Nistelrooy anyone??
  18. Yip on the bench and likely going to be sold as well :010: :010: what you gonna moan about then 1MORESEASONBLACK??? He has disagreed with CC to the media and CC is making his feelings known by not playing him and probably getting rid as well... good on'm there is no place for player's egos at ICT
  19. What would you have done?? He took Caff on to try and consolidate in midfield and Dargo so he could stretch their defense with his pace... getting sick of posters too quick too criticise when they really have no clue :008: :008:
  20. Sounds like you need him!! :015: :015: :015: :015:
  21. that's another point away from relegation and United got a humping which is always a bonus I guarentee we beat Aberdeen next game at TCS... mark my words!!
  22. still a cracking point away from home.. just very disappointing! Rankin ... great signing!!
  23. Brian Irvine is a complete to55er get tae feck lovel
  24. You ******* dancer :003: :003: :003: :003: get in
