  1. tis pish on a side note I think Dunfermline will be stay up this season
  2. fair enough If Dargo does go, which looks likely, we'll need someone with pace upfront for a different option if nothing else. I'm interested to see how good the boy Woods is.
  3. Is this when we go on to compare willie sizes again? Do you just scour the board each day waiting for a post I make so you can try and start an argument? I forgot his goal against Motherwell, from the goals he has scored in the reserves it certainly shows he knows where the net is but he seems to lack the confidence when he gets his chance in the first team and that extra second of composure isn't there. I think there is something there with McAllister and at his age having the phsyique is half the battle, I could be wrong but I will be first to admit it if he doesn't turn good. anyway this has gone off topic
  4. Depends on your opinion, for me Bayne is one of the best target men in the SPL at the moment and has more than proved his worth this season (although I would like to see some more goals from him). Wyness has been unlucky with injury over the last 2 seasons but thankfully they have been different injuries so shouldn't be a problem in the future and IMO can be top drawer when match fit. Argueably the best we have played this season was with Bayne and Wyness up top. McAllister will come good I guarentee it .... he needs to get as many first team oppertunities as possible but as soon as he scores 1 his confidence will go sky high think we do need a goal scorer but so do half the teams in the SPL so it wont be easy, if I was CC I would be scouting the Irish leagues
  5. The good thing about our squad is that most the players can play well in more than one position Don't really think we need a keeper, I'm happy for Fraser to be given a shot and Ridgers to learn the trade in the background We need cover for our defence (strange considering we have one of the best defensive records in the SPL), we need at least 1 centre half, we need cover for left and right full back, although I'm certain Proctor will be back with the club next season. Midfield we are very strong, in the centre we have Black, Duncan, Hart, McBain, Rankin & Cowie. McBain, Rankin, Paatelinainen, Hart, Wilson, Xander have all played on the left at somepoint. Right wing we have Wilson, Hart, Cowie, Xander and now Cowie. Decent forwards we have Wyness, McAllister and Bayne Cover for all defensive positions, a right winger and a couple of forwards.... that's some shopping list
  6. I'll agree with that, although you do post a lot of pesh I generally enjoy reading your points of view. There is a lot of things I don't agree with but at least you argue your case well and I think most people on here value your opinion.
  7. If I had to choose one player it would also have to be Hastings.
  8. hit the cross bar twice on soccer am :025: :025: :025:
  9. agree, neither is likely to ever happen but it is obvious to almost everyone that something needs to be done. The spilt seems like a temporary solution for a product not reaching its potential, although I do like the fact it is giving mid table teams something to aim for it guarantees the top clubs continue to make more money while the rest continue to struggle. The only chance of generating some real intrest in Scottish football again is if there is a massive reshuffle of the leagues from top to bottom, it has worked extremely well for the Premiership and more recently the Championship, and it certainly wont help if we reduce our top division to 10 teams.
  10. SIGN THE PETITION :022:
  11. County to go down for me :023:
  12. :015: give up!
  13. Naismith, Miller and more recently Boyd :006:
  14. I can see what you are saying but have to disagree, Rossco has to defend against wingers arguebly the fastest and most skillful players on the park, he has to be quick on the turn or he would get ripped every game. Dods has been caught out for pace on numerous times this season and one of the main reasons I suggested Rossco as a replacement is because he is so agile, not to mention how dominate a figure he would be in the heart of the defence. Being a centre half is all about positioning yourself and reading the game so you aren't caught out of position and don't have to chase the game (this would be my only worry about Rossco as a centre half), every team I have ever played for the centre halves have been the slowest players in the squad. :023: !!hsep gniklat era uoy yllacisab
  15. How could you possibly know that? I would never have guessed you would disagree with me :014:
  16. Sheerin... Wilson :023:
  17. a centre half needs pace but a right back that bolts up and down the wing doesn't, just doesn't make sense :017: I guarentee that Dod's is the slowest player in the team by a country mile.
  18. think you've got that backwards
  19. CC's thoughts on Caff
  20. I thought he was English :024:
  21. slowly becoming my favourite player in an ICT shirt, the more he is growing in confidence the better he is becoming. His performance against Rangers was a masterclass on how to play in midfield, and as I said on another thread was the best I have seen from any player all season. His passing can be off on the odd occasion but it looks like he has worked hard on it and is becoming more and more consistent.
  22. and surprise, surprise I disagreed then :014: This is for another topic but Caff only played a few games at right back and was excellent against Celtic and Hibs and off the pace in a couple, it's impossible to base an opinion on a handful of games. My main point was Tokely as centre half because it would be a lot easier for CC to find a right back than it would be to get a commanding centre half.
  23. will be absolutely delighted if that is the case :022: :022: :022:
  24. Is there not a good chance that Don Cowie could come straight in as captain, he is County captain after all :023: Have to agree with LG though, Wilson as captain and Munro as vice captain ofr next season anyway
  25. These players never learn... no player/manger (bar maybe Robson) escapes the curse!! In all seriousness I'm a bit gutted with both Dargo and Dods, not showing a bit more of the loyalty shown to them by the club. It is down to the player himself on how good he perform and what standard he plays but ICT gave them both the platform to show they still had what it takes. I wouldn't expect them to finish their career with us but it would have been nice if they at least extended their contracts for another year so we could get some cash for them.
