  2. Let's just make sure we're all singing on Saturday and let's give Tangoman a load of stick. 'Fat Craigy Brewster Your just a fat Craigy Brewster......'
  3. Definitely the best relegation battle since we joined the league, we looked doomed until Terry & June took over, it then looked a two horse race between ourselves and Falkirk but then became a 4 team fight and Hamilton are being sucked back into it after being deemed safe about 6 weeks ago. So long as we can pick up another 7-8 points we will be safe.

Esson Tokely Munro Mihadjuks Djebi-Zadi Morais Black Kerr Foran Imrie Barrowman Subs: Fraser, Duff, Proctor, Duncan, Hastings, Odhiambo, Rooney. Two changes for me: Esson in for Fraser and Barrowman in for Proctor. I can see us using thelong ball a lot more on Saturday so I would have Barrowman up front to try and unsettle Diamond or possibly remaining unchanged (apart from in goals) with Foran up top with Morais and Imrie on the left.

I would like to see Duff playing he's a better distributor of the ball and is one of the best tacklers I have seen at ICT.
  6. Think Butch prefers a small nippy striker with a tall striker so that would explain the possiblity if playing Barrowman, I can see him starting next week. Though it was a very poor game yesterday Djebi-Zadi was very unlucky with the goal don't think there was much he could do about it. The two goals were brilliant strikes from Felipe. Imrie's work rate was great but he needs to learn to not dive into tackles and he needs to get his head up when he's running with the ball there was far too many times he ran into corners then turned and there was no support. Defensively we were ok in the second half, Ike handiling was good but his kicking was awful. Next week we will probably keep the same team with Esson in for Fraser and possibly Barrowman in for Imrie or Proctor with Morais on the right.
  7. Me + 1 on the 11 o'clock train, where's the pre match beverages taking place.

He's not on loan from Hibs we signed him to the end of the season with his contract likely to be extended when we confirm our SPL status, we certainly look a better side with him in it as he is more direct than our other attackers.

  10. I think they are the weakest team in the bottom 4 only half decent player they have is Craig Bryson. Hope they don't go bust if they do go down. Only team I would like to see go bust is Livi.
  11. According to the Daily Ranger there is a real chance Killie could go bust if the are relegated due to a ?9M debt. Read More Here
  12. Barr shouldn't be anywhere the squad how can Burley justify picking him. We look poor up front but there isn't anyone I can think of who could possibly come into the squad as another striker. Agree with the last posts we will play 4-1-4-1 I think we will line up like so: Gordon Hutton/Broadfoot Weir Mcmanus Naismith Caldwell Brown Fletcher Ferguson Commons Miller Personally I would have Hartley instead of Ferguson but Burley wouldn't have the guts to drop him.

Esson Tokely Mihadjuks Duff Djebi-Zadi Proctor Kerr/Duncan Black Imrie/Foran Imrie/Foran Rooney I said before the Killie game that Granty was a bad performance away from being dropped and yet again he was poor, Kyle bullied him and the only time he won a ball was when he decided to run in front of his own defenders to beat them to it. I personally would start with Imrie on the left and Foran up top so it gives us the more direct approach which didn't work in the second half aginst Killie with Imrie and Rooney. I would probably bring Duncan back in for Kerr as his graft in midfield could be key for us.
  14. ------------Esson------------ Tokely------Mihadjuks------Munro------Hastings Morais------Black------Kerr------Imrie ----------Foran------Rooney---------- Subs: Fraser, Duff, Proctor, McBain, Vigurs, Odhiambo, Barrowman/Wood I think we would look a more dangerous side having Foran up front and you need your goalscorer on the pitch (take notes Walter Smith) so Rooney would partner him. Munro is one of the players I would possibly consider dropping with Jamie Duff coming in as he seems able to keep the ball on the deck when he passes the ball. Morais to remain on the right wing as he is more direct when attacking full back and doesn't seem to wander inside like Proctor.
  15. I did notice when Rooney came on yesterday Imrie moved to left wing with Foran going more central and we looked a lot more dangerous. I don't think we shoud start with Eric but he has the pace to cause defenders problems in the last 10 or 15 minutes like he did against Celtic. I would go with Foran and Rooney against Killie

Same line-up as last night for me with the only possible change being Imrie back for Morais Esson Rossco Munro Pavels Djebi-Zadi Proctor Black Duncan Foran Rooney Morais Subs: Fraser, Duff, McBain, Imrie, Odhiambo

I don't see Hibs having to beat Falkirk on Saturday, if we win a draw takes us off the bottom but if Falkirk win it just means the group of 4 will become tighter.
  18. If it ain't broken don't fix it. Black and Duncan(if available) on the bench.
  19. A decent enough article and one that summed up the newfound spirit at ICT since Butcher came in. Leckie highlighting the difference between Imrie and Riordan was interesting mainly because I wondered how many others had seen Deeks half baked attempt at controlling the football before turning to whinge at anyone in a green shirt nearby. Comedy gold from one of the biggest wastes of talent in the Scottish game. Then look at Imrie. Sure he might not have the skill Riordan might have been he shows so much determination and willingness to run I would imagine most folk would happily have him over Riordan in any team they supported. Agree that it was a good article from one of the very few journalists that I enjoy reading. Genius though giving Riordan a 2- 1 for turning up and 1 for lasting the 90 minutes :thumb04:

  21. It actually looked to me like he had blown for a dive against Fernandez, it certainly looked inside the box to me but it was never a foul in my opinion.

We're only in the last eight lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. If we get a favourable draw (Airdrie/Pars at home) we could possibly start to talk about Hampden
  23. Fraser Tokely Mihadjuks Munro McBain Morais Black Duncan Foran Imrie Rooney Subs: Esson, Proctor, Vigurs, Wood, Odhiambo
