Exactly and I thought that was the main reason that Tokely was axed so that we could use the extra cash to offer Hayes a better contract. And I have been informed that it is a very healthy offer which Hayes must still be seriously considering because if he had been offered more elsewhere would he not have been on his bike as well. We must also have given Jonny a decision deadline date.

And he decided not to employ an agent so didn't have to worry about earning extra money for that "cut". I feel that there are a handful of players who actually do possess and display the old fashioned "loyalty" characteristic, although I am sure that they remain so because they are settled in the team, settled in the area and probably their loved ones are as well. I have had many chances to go to jobs with higher salaries and higher kudos but I have stayed put for all the aforementioned reasons. I suspect that living in the wilderness with little to do but pontificate could make an individual grumpy, tunnel visioned and far from being worldly wise.

Shurely it must depend on what level of player that you are looking fer - if it is a SPL player they will probably be looking fer a similar contract to what they had or summat better - the SPL is not a particular attraction to them. How many SFL players are up to SPL standard and will also be looking for improved contrcats. Players "languishing" in the Blue Square, Divs 1 & 2 may well be more attracted to the apparent appeal of the SPL, the Old Filth and Terry Butcher. Many may opt fer short term contracts with an aim to improving their CV's and moving even further upwards. Whilst packing for ma sojourn to Sneck I came acoss an owd programme with a quote from Terry Butcher: "we identify a player for a certain position then find out how much he costs, speak to his agent then see if he wants to come to us or if his club will allow them to move. We look for the ability, age, pace and history in a player. For everyone that we sign there is a long list of discarded subjects."

Dear Mr Cameron,
- Dear Mr Cameron,
If I ever need a group therapy co-facilitator I will seriously consider your inclusion Most business / political statements are open to mixed interpretation - that in itself is an art / skill, albeit annnoying. The statement gives all the reading of a "NO" vote up until "Our final decision on the issue will be taken based on the views of supporters and the Supporters Trust combined with what we think is best for our club from a business perspective and for Scottish football in general." The views of the "supporters" is not just limited to the voices on this forum. There is a group of far more influential "supporters" in respect of sponsorship, advertisement and finance orientated. That final sentence simply has to be neutralised in its content but the last six words - to me - say mountains - but from which perspective ? I am going to simply wait until the decision has been made and if the club formerly known as Rangers end up in the SPL then I will be asking for formal clarification from the club. And it looks like poor Kenny has missed out on his Pina Coladas on the beach and we are probably indebted to his committment. As I have alluded to before the poor bugger is "scapegoated" as the voice of the club when he is the "spokesperson". And on this occasion I do not feel that the contacts with the support have an overt element of tokenism about them.- A cause close to my heart
:clapping: Will be up in Sneck next week so will hand over a donation - I am doing some individual CBT sessions with ICT personnel as part of the pre season regime. Will double the donation if you can manage to gob on some Fifers on the flight or on the way down.- Hayes Aberdeen FC Official (Maybe)
It may be a while before me meet eye to eye so can you put a piccy on ****ter please. And lets rejoice that there appear to be bigger feckin Muppets in Aberdire !!- Hayes Aberdeen FC Official (Maybe)
The most important aspect of this whole torrid affair is whether we are going to witness CaleyD laffing his tits off or not.- Conor Pepper
Don't all the youth players want to be involved with the first team? I'd be worrying about his ambition levels if he had said anything else. IHE......a smack on the wrist for you...there is no such thing as a mere Yoof player in ICT. They are all, until we know differently, prospects for the future of ICT. Perhaps it is different in the far north but "mere" to me relates to being nothing more than is specified - at the present time he is a mere yoof player and of course mere yoof players should have aspirations for the future.- Conor Pepper
I am confussed - can I add this wee man to my 2012-2013 or is he a mere yoof player ?- SPL Board, Please Stop Chasing Ghosts.....
My point is that given no club can 100% expect to be in the SPL for ever...not even the OF, as has been proven....so why oblige them to buy the share at all.......why not just allocate it to the clubs as long as they are eligible to compete in the SPL for voting purposes? When no longer eligible, due to relegation or liquidation or whatever, the right to the share automatically dies so it isn't an asset, removes voting rights and gives those rights back to the SPL to reallocate. Can't see that the sale of the share makes the SPL big bucks anyway......can you? I'd guess that it is a different matter owning ICT shares.......because they are yours, unless there is something in ICT rules and regulations which say that not only can you not sell them without permission, but that they can also take them from you and give them to somebody else on a vote of the board. I'd have thought the ICT rule wasn't aimed at the small shareholder, but the shareholder with an appreciable number of shares, who could, by selling up, mean the club gets taken over, or an unwelcome A.N.Other gets too much of a say. Thank you very much for introducing the term "ICT" to the proceedings. I dont come on here to read about feckin the team formerly known as Rangers. I look forward to celebrating Scottish Football Independence Day on the 4th of July.- SPL Board, Please Stop Chasing Ghosts.....

Should a new Rangers fail to gain the necessary 8-4 vote, they could turn to the SFL and apply to fill any vacancy created by a team being promoted into the SPL to take the place of the old Rangers. I presume that this means the team formerly known as Rangers going down in to the next division and back in the SPL in 2013-2014 ?- Transfer News.

Of course it is an event which should be attended - no doubt some of the participants would have been "dumped" for other reasons than skill. - Dear Mr Cameron,
