Who really believed
I am first to admit that when Dundee were 12 points clear I thought we had no chance, I didn't think the team was good enough and I didn't think the management team was good enough, I was way of the mark on both things. Who out there really believed we could pull it back, I am not talking about blind loyalty to the club but really believed? not many I am sure.

Catering Issues at ICT - feedback
Alex can you honestly imagine that happening in Dingwall

Why are we so good?..!
Also the fact Rooney was given an extended run in the team and this allowed him to start finding the net, his goals like the one today have been huge for us.

I think it was a case of they never stopped believing it could be done and once the team gelled into place as it has now they had the team to carry out what they believed in.

Partick Th -V- ICT : matchday thread
Stevico- I & a few others said at the start of the season; while ICT were hanging around 5th,6th & 7th place that they were in the right place as the top 3 of the time, Dundee, County & QOS would eventually tire/bottle it leaving ICT to quietly overtake them. So im happy that our game plan has panned out. Great results today and i agree we cant throw this away. The prize is way too precious. Yes I agree a few said we could do it, I also remember Alex saying we were well placed a good few months ago I just couldn't see, I am very glad I was wrong. The league is in our hands now Steve. We now have to capitalize on our position. Win every game, especially tuesday night. Totally agree Alex, I might not have believed a few months back but I really don't think we are going to throw it away now.

Amongst the jubilation, a lil realism
When did we last lose a home evening fixture, Stevico? No I don't think we are going to lose just that I think County are a decent side and it is no forgone conclusion.

I am still a touch worried about the midweek County game but I really think if we win that the league is ours

I am just a bit worried that a win would end Dundees bad recent form and give them a bit of a kick start

Jocky Scott Sacked
For me this has got to be one of the most bizzare management merry go rounds there has been for a long time, I would understand if they had taken in someone like Calderwood but to replace Scott with Chisholm is just crazy.
-
Jocky Scott Sacked
Chishom and Dodds confirmed, apparently McCall couldn't agree personal terms
-
Jocky Scott Sacked
Probably correct Pele McCall in talks Oh well looks like my informant was correct on both counts then

I'm pretty sure the 2 year plan kiltarlity referred to was to just gain promotion in the 2 seasons, so you'd have to expect Melville will continue to pump his 'millions' into Dundee wheather they fail or succeed in their attempt to gain promotion this season. if that wa sthe plan as you said Jocky Scott would not have been sacke dwith ten games to go, a new manager would have been brought in at the end of the season. Now they are taking one massive gamble. New manager , new tactics? but still the same players who got them where they are but now are slipping.Dundee have blown it by this decision, this should now give Caley everything they need to win the league. one of the main contenders now in turmoil, more than Caley fans could have expected at this stage of the season. Ok thanks thats clear now

WALKING to Dungwall
Well done lads :)

Jocky Scott Sacked
players were late in getting their wages How late, an hour, a day, a week , a month ? If there was an issue with the Dundee players getting paid do you not think the press would have picked up on it. i already said on this thread, "DUNDEE ARE SKINT, THEY HAVE TO GO UP" Easy to say but where are the facts.

Jocky Scott Sacked
Yep he played for Dundee in early 90s

Jocky Scott Sacked
I think it might be but the source that told me Scott was sacked and this was at least an hour before it came out told me they had already spoken to McCall, of course just because they have spoken to him doesn't mean they will employ him but he might be considered the decision was made after Raith result , board met 30 mis after the game...... fact Ok did you just decide to keep the info quiet

Jocky Scott Sacked
I've supported Jocky wholeheartedly all season and argued with the naysayers but todays result on the back of the recent run made his position untennable in my opinion, and i agree action had to be taken. It's obvious problems have developed behing the scenes and taking no action was not an option,so Yes, i am happy with the decision. Ok thanks for the answer..for me its a very strange one, I can understand the reason behind it to an extent as Dundee were struggling recently but if you just look at the position the club are in it looks bizarre, 1st in League, won a trophy and 2 quarter finals, has any manager ever been sacked when in such a position before? Has anyone ever blew a lead as much as Dundee had at Xmas? Perhaps not but who took them into such a lead ?
