  1. I've supported Jocky wholeheartedly all season and argued with the naysayers but todays result on the back of the recent run made his position untennable in my opinion, and i agree action had to be taken. It's obvious problems have developed behing the scenes and taking no action was not an option,so Yes, i am happy with the decision. Ok thanks for the answer..for me its a very strange one, I can understand the reason behind it to an extent as Dundee were struggling recently but if you just look at the position the club are in it looks bizarre, 1st in League, won a trophy and 2 quarter finals, has any manager ever been sacked when in such a position before?
  2. Same thing happened in 98 when John McCormack had us 5 points clear but it was felt he couldn't finish the job.The man that was brought in to get us promoted..............? Jocky Scott!! Never a dull moment Just curious..are you happy with this decision?
  3. Throughout a long hard season all teams will suffer from injuries and suspensions its the team that handles those the best that will prosper
  4. Funny I was just thinking that..I doubt this is the job for him but he must be one of the most highly thought of young managers in this country.
  5. I think it might be but the source that told me Scott was sacked and this was at least an hour before it came out told me they had already spoken to McCall, of course just because they have spoken to him doesn't mean they will employ him but he might be considered
  6. No not at all...a new manager might make it a bit more difficult but we dont need to worry about their results and just do the business ourselves
  7. Yes me also Johnboy, I think what is happening at Aberdeen now proves Calderwood wasn't doing to badly a job there.
  8. jimmy Calderwood and Jimmy Nichol to get the job source.... the same person who phoned all the Dundee players to tell them Jocky was sacked That wouldn't surprise me to be honest..Ian McCall would surprise me
  9. Actually thats very true...top of League, won a trophy and got to the quarters of the other 2 cups.
  10. Course its true Johnboy when do I ever give you duff info
  11. Don't know if its that bad news same source told me Ian McCall a stick on to get it
  12. Someone thats in the game just texted me and told me
  13. Just heard he has been sacked
  14. Can't really see a board sacking a manager that is sitting top of the league and has already won a trophy this season hasnt stopped them in the past but hopefully they stick by him Take that back he has just been sacked
  15. Can't really see a board sacking a manager that is sitting top of the league and has already won a trophy this season
  16. I think we have improved, Dunfermline have improved County have stayed fairly consistent and Dundee have collapsed
  17. Whatever you think of County they have been as good if not better side than us this season and along with us are real title contenders...a draw away from home with them is not a bad result.
  18. oh well would have liked the 3 points but 1 not to bad
  19. not really .... as it stands right now we would be 3 points behind Dundee with a superior goal difference and one game to play against them on the final day of the season, we could actually just mirror all their results and have to beat them on the final day so its not quite a "must win". County would be in just as good a position if not moreso. However, as you say, a win today for either side would really put the cat amongst the pigeons .... Dundee's bottle seems to have crashed an if a team gets as close as one or two points behind them will they crumble completely? Airdrie 3-0 !!!!! Golly booked Not Dundee that worries me its Dunfermline Are you not worried about County Alex as things stand at present they are probably the best placed
  20. Maybe they will want a manager in that knows what its like to win this division...Robbo??? now wouldnt that put the cat amongst the pigeons
  21. Hope not don't fancy a new manager coming in and giving them a lift at this stage
  22. Dundee are on the ropes, hopefully we can get the 3 points today and deal them another blow
  23. We haven't conceded either Steve. Yes....hopefully this will be their wee spell and can't put it in the net then we will get on top and put our chances away
  24. Sounds like we need to step it up a bit...we haven't had a shot at goal yet, poor game according to Robbo
