  1. Get someone new. Stevie Frail, Gary McCallister. Don't buy into all this crap of getting in an "old" manager. If the board do get Robbo back I hope it is on a temporary basis until the end of the season only with a view to a more permanent contract thereafter. Would be interesting to see how the players would react to Robbo, although I am sure it would be a more positive reaction to him than Brew.
  2. I'll be there regardless of who the manager is, cheer on the team and the board will take care of everything else, won't they?
  3. In fairness to the police they will be aware of what has been posted on this forum over the last few weeks and the call for protest to take place, if they didn't do anything about it they would rightly be criticised if there was, for example, any sort of pitch invasion or other such protest so it's right that they keep an eye on things. Furthermore they will want to be aware of who the "Troublemakers" are for away matches and other police forces who take charge of away games. Big Brother is watching you - shame on you who believe in free speech. What strikes me about the whole thing is how sad the situation is, could anyone have imagined things as bad as this a few years ago, or ever?
  4. Not so sure it is the board. Is this not Brew holding a group interview for our new target man?
  5. Come on ICT! A chance for Barrowman to shine with Rooney beside him - no excuses today - lets see a few goals. Agree with Brews line up today as long as phil is fit for the game.
  6. -----------------------Esson-------------------------------------------------- Duff---Proctor----Munro----Hastings---McBain---Lionel----McGuire -------------Black ---------Duncan------- ------------McCallister----------------------- Something like that would be about right.
  7. After he left us for Utd and came back then he was always going to be in for a rough time if/when things got sticky, if the board didn't appreciate that then there is something far wrong. The performances are woeful and the tactics even worse, the players seem to be lacking the fight and determination that is so much part of the club. Time to go, taxi for Brewster.
  8. David Weir as player/manager. 5,000 years of experience at every level and would sort out the defence. Must have plenty of contacts in the game as well.
  9. I found myself annoyed yet again at this formation at home. Away it works really well for us and the results are evident. At home it is fast becoming a joke, what made it unbearable yesterday was the fact the formation should have been changed to 4-4-2 immediately when we went one down, continuing to play this formation after that is naive, stupid, pointless and verging on tactically unforgiveable. Re Barrowman as the front man it just doesn't work, on the few occassions he got the ball passed in low to him he did much better but the high punts go right passed him, especially with the likes of Wilkie. If insisting on this tactic Wood is much better at holding the ball up than any other player we have. 4-4-2 at home please - you know it makes sense
  10. It was the result that mattered today, well done to the lads.
  11. Tokely was a liability again last night... GET HIM OUT!!!!!!
  12. I agree, put proctor out on the right and see how Rosco reacts to it, he's not been the same player this season for whatever reason and Duff has done more than enough to claim a starting place.
  13. In fairness to Doddsy he got it right so having started the thread I will eat a slice of humble pie THIS WEEK He is ,however, still a bias little .....pundit.
  14. Marius' and Wyness' agents just can't understand why they aren't being taken up on their offers.
  15. This is the eigth league game of the season and he hasn't predicted us to get a single win yet. With games against the ugly sisters still to come that means that with the exception of the other team we haven't played yet (Motherwell?), it means we are not capable of beating ANYONE else in the league! Billy Dodds you're time is up at the impartial BBC
  16. Dundee United v Inverness CT United are making good progress in the league which shows you what confidence can do you for you - even when you've not playing too well. I would expect a United victory in this match even though Inverness can make it difficult for teams. The visitors got a great win last weekend but Tannadice is a hard place to go. I think Inverness will score in this game but United will come through in the end. Prediction: 2-1 You heard it here first folks! This is Doddsy's real prediction from the Beeb site, shockeroonie - he thinks we'll get beat!
  17. Given the great Doddsy's prediction skills who can accurately predict what he will say about the Dundee United game and obviously the score? Dundee United 2 ICT 0 Caley's topsy-turvy start to the campaign make them unpredictable and with Craig Levein steadying the ship at United then surely united will be too strong for them. Or some dross like that
  18. Feel free to say it as often as you like BornCaley, no-one is likely to disagree
  19. Spot on CaleyP. Brew got it right playing the youngsters and none of them let us down today.
  20. Given the performances of Jamie Duff and assuming Granty will be fit soon who will Brew play in the centre of defence? Personally I would try Granty and Duff as I believe they would do well. Brew seems to have a soft spot for Maguire so I am not convinced that Duff will get too many more starts. I also think that Proctor has played well when I have seen him and wonder if he might get a game ahead of Rosco whose understanding with Cowie down the wing is nowhere near as productive as it is when Barry is playing there.
  21. The performance today was dreadful. I hope that Brew is giving them an absolute bollocking after that and throughout the week. After last week it seems a few players believed that this week would be a walkover and they were found wanting. In the long term it may be some positives will come out of it (hard to take any just now though!)
  22. I think this game may be quite important to the first few games of the season. If we play well and get a result it will give a massive boost for the next few games. If however we don't do so well it could affect an already fragile defence and dent the confidence of the forward line (whatever the make up of that may be). I think that the wholesale changes at Aberdeen will give us a great chance to get the result we want and I predict a 2-1 win for ICT.
  23. So who's the winner there then :-X Hold on, it's me just now! :D
