  1. just what we need, a positive tonic...Long overdue good news
  2. I agree relegation would be a disaster, despite Div 1 being more competitive. However to comment on the above only 2 teams can win because of the other 10 teams, the SPL, SFA and the Media It would be a disaster for the SPL, SFA & the media if a team outside the OF won the title, so there is no real point in the other 10 teams being in the SPL apart from financially...although i would hate is to go down I know others will disagree entirely with what ive said, but its out there now!
  3. Just had a thought. Do we know if members of the club ( board, management, players) read the forums or even are they secret members? I know the recent reprise of the Boardroom Banter will help the Club understand what the fans think and open up better communications, but maybe reading our posts on here might help that further yes?
  4. you going to post a link for this?
  5. 3 letters - PS3 I believe Xbox live is subscription based, but the PS3 network is free to use also maybe wikipedia " red ring of death" on potential problems
  6. I was having a conversation with a mate here in Edinburgh about the old Inverness Street League...he had never heard of it but thought it was a great idea. So it got me thinking: Is the Street league still going in Inverness?, does anyone have any info on what teams there were? It certainly was a great idea and one ive never seen anywhere else. Though it would be nice to see who we all played for I started with Kilmuir Rovers at 9 or 10 yrs old as i lived nearbye..But when i moved to Dalneigh i played for Telford Street Jnrs at 12
  7. this thread is the little brother of the " 5 albums that shaped yout teenage years" thread..so here goes Single: Heart of Glass- Blondie LP- Telekon - Gary Numan
  8. seems some peeps are having more than 5 so i'll add the following to mine: kings of the wild frontier- Adam & The Antz Replicas - Tubeway Army Faith- The Cure Never Mind the Bollocks - Sex Pistols Machine Gun Etiquette- The Damned
  9. Stevie & IHE...Get a room or get back on topic!!
  10. So do ICT have a womens team, if so is there any info on them... If not why not?...may be worth raisng it at the next Bedroom Banter...oops i meant Boardroom Banter
  11. On May 21st 1960, The Beatles played Inverness once officially under the name The Silver Beetles as a back up band to Johnny Gentle, they played what was the Northern Meeting Ball Room which is now a clothes shop at the top of church street. They lived in a boarding house down the ferry. They also played the Town Hall-Forres and the Regal Ballroom-Nairn on the 26th & 27th May 1960. The Band consisted of John Lennon, Paul Mcartney, George Harrison, Stuart Sutcliffe & and a drummer called Tommy. Also on the bill that night was Ronnie Watt & the Checkers Dance band. On that note, legend has it that The Beatles ( with Ringo) played a secret gig at Craig Dunain hopsital in 1964, but i have been unable to confirm this.
  12. Try Last.FM...such a great site for finding new music based on your current likes... www.last.fm its the new god
  13. Thanks Scotty for clearing that up
  14. Maybe one of the Mods can advise on why the topic posted regarding the "Daily Ranger" story was locked. Is this topic now not up for discussion. Sorry guys but the SPL rules are clearly up for interpretation or mis-interpretation. Just who was this banner offending, Celtic FC, JS's family, SPL or ICT....well BOO HOO...i spotted a large Tri-Colour in the Celtic end on Saturday. Is displaying an Irish flag not making a political statement If you interpret the categories ( 7.4.5) listed within the SPL Rule 7.4.3, once might say that an Irish Tri-Colour ( which itself holds its own political importance, could be classed as a breach of these rules...So where do we go from there. I could explain the meaning of the Irish Tri-Colour here, but im sure if you Wikipedia; it's political meaning is very clear Come on lets see common sense and stop this PC, Cotton Wool b*llsh*t, its just stupid. Surely this action if true will only widen the gap between the club and their supporters anyway...nuff said from me BC
  15. i just remembered what BJK was as i clicked on the thread again. Not sure if ICT are starting a precident with this, as these banners are rife at Castle Greyskull (Ibrox)...there have certainly been some dark secrets at C*ltic over the years, so ICT punishing their own fan seems a bit nazi-ish I think this is more about wee Tom CJ & C4L than the banner You have my support TCJ & C4L
  16. what is the BJK banner?
  17. thanks for posting these CaleyD..apart from some of the issues still being around today ( as mentioned) it was great to read these, there was a lot of info in relationt to these topics, so hopefully this will continue with the new BB

  23. im in agreement, that a lone Caley Bid would have provided the same result. Im not convinced a lone Thistle bid would have succeeded, but hey its 15 years ago now, so none of the above really matters does it. BNP - I notice your signature at the bottom of your posts is rather Anti-Mergerish.... can i assume your not a supporter of ICT
  24. I agree with Roscoe on this one..I think the backroom staff at the club needs some experience and specific coaching roles, thus freeing up the management team for tactics/on the pitch stuff.. ICT should really be looking at experienced coaches as well as players
  25. "It guarantees that I will bring in an extra body in January as we are definitely thin on the ground for players." quote from CB on todays BBC website A quotation we will remind you off if you dont live up to this guarantee Mr B
