Happy Birdy Mr Brewster hows your trip to Coventry going?
-
Sorry- Not funny
-
a few have mentioned Barrowman not being of SPL standard, well to be fair to him, i dont think any ICT player was of SPL quality when we entered the SPL. It took a season or 2 to show any talent for the SPL lets just give the guy a chance. Are we not being a tad hasty in judging him?

The only album i have "paid for " in 2008 is The Damned- So who's Paranoid

Hey just read the review of the 4-1 Reserve victory over "Leithiopa" and noticed a few players i havent heard off before Helmsley, Finnis, Allison & Welsh I cant find any info/stats on these players. any ideas. BC

why dont we leave the Jingoism to The Sun/Star/Sport readers Lets not forget Maradona is nothing more than a cheat...great player, but a cheat nontheless

I remember my grandfather taking me to a stock car race. Must have been in the early to mid 70's, but i cant remember where it was. Something about millburn road or the longman area is ringing bells, but cant remember for the life of me any ideas?

Im not a psychologist, but i now know how to spot split personalities.. Living in Edinburgh i mostly get to away games and only the odd home game. The crowd at todays game were shocking..moan moan, complain, complain etc etc I didnt hear any support at all and as for singing it was all Jambos and we all know their home support is sh*t I dont travel 200 miles to sit next to armchair managers who thing playing FM08 gives them the knowledge of running a football team. Yet on away days our support is great, singing & coming out with great humour What the hell's going on. So why dont we all shut up and support our f**king team & the manager - Yes that right the manager Im not the biggest Brew supporter but he needs us as well as the players

what pussies! Cannibal Holocaust (1980) or if you want as near to snuff then Flower of Flesh and Blood
-
I remember this game very well. The day the tix were sold, some of the High School teachers were walking past the queue at the Caley Club looking for pupils and dragged some out...They didnt spot me though. Want this the game that Urquart got the spotted by Rangers. Although i thought John Greig was their manager then
-
We were in good voice yesterday....would have been like a wake if we didn sing & shout...Hibs & their smelly neighbours are shocking as a home support when we play them. Maybe they feel their team is good enough to win without support..
-
I will never follow another team
-
I work with a lot of Jambos and they told me that Hearts; years ago, used to send a team out pre-season across the Highlands & Islands. Thats exactly what County used to do in Skye, now they have a very decent sized following here that pisses over Caley's to tell the truth. M'Lud - The Defence rests
-
the team were bloody great today...Imrie, Black & Easson played a blinder.. my heart skipped when i caught Robbo heading into the ground, but i realised he was the co commentator on the beeb today

Young Smee & i are on the same page...filling our stadium is totally achievable and if peeps from Inverness cant be bothered ( for whatever reason) then look elsewhere. someone mentioned ICT holding training days in shool holidays, great idea as this has 3 benefits. 1. The ICT brand is displayed 2. The PR generated by these days will gain more supporters 3. Potential scouting for kids with some talent. everybody wins, the schools, the kids & their parents and ICT. Yes it would cost money, but to quote that old saying, you need to spend money to make money! I work with a lot of Jambos and they told me that Hearts; years ago, used to send a team out pre-season across the Highlands & Islands. I cant remember which towns, but there are now a couple of Hearts supporters clubs in the Highlands because of this tie...Believe me It works When ICT merged in 1994 they didnt become a Football club, they became a business with a Brand. Football is more about money than in is sport. We are customers of that brand

So if the 10 replies to my post was a representation the 200,000 people in the Highlands, then the 3 posts who stated that the travel to ICT games, ( 30%) kinda proves my point in a non-scientifical/economical way that there is an untapped market for supporters in these places, who dont have an incentive to go to games. I gaurantee there are thousands who travel to Inverness from around the Highlands for shopping throughout the year. ICT could easily offer a lunch/match deal for couples/familys who do travel to the City for Shopping. Trust me when i say there is an untapped supporter base out there, so i cant believe why ICT employ a commercial/Marketing team if they cant see this. Where do you get your 200,000 from? Inverness population around 65,000. The next biggest, within the Shire is probably Fort William at around 11,000. Alex - I think i got the figure from the Highland Council website...Whether its 200,000 or 400,000 people in the Highlands, both show there is vast opportunites for the club to investigate...Yes i agree with some people who have stated that The club should be trying to attract as many people from Inverness....But i get the impression there is a level of complacency in the town with having an SPL team. at least 70,000 people in Inverness itself and we cant even attract 10% of them to fill the ground. Somethings just not right with this picture...so lets look elsewhere at well

Many of us may know or not know that the Inverness Area is in economical terms the largest catchment area in the UK. So my question/point is this. Do ICT target any parts of the Highlands outwith Inverness in terms of attracting supporters/Finances to the club. Certainly our noisy neighours across the bridge will probably have Easter Ross sown up, but are we targeting the likes of the West Coast/Skye/Stornaway etc etc. Yes there are distances involved, but surely people living in these regions who support one of the OF travel to Glasgow for their games, so surely there will be those who would happily travel to support ICT if they had an incentive. Are we looking at offering incentives etc etc. Also the school kids deal, is this promoted outwith the City? I know a lot of people do travel down from say Skye for shopping at weekends, so it makes sense to attract them to the stadium for home games at least. With a population of approx 200,000, even 1% of this is enough to fill up our ground and give us vital revenue/supporters any thoughts?

I always depsair when clubs go back to their past for players/managers, so i would rather see us move forward. As for Deucher, is he not still in the US...he was on a huge wage if i remember,

I PM'd you. You gonna spill the beans or have you run out?

Certainly CB is on the way down & probably out right now, but lets not forget Bennet & the Board. The SPL is a money based business, so the lack of investment; and i mean serious investment will have this club on its knees and into the 1st Div unless we act now! CB should go with Bennet chasing his tail. Robbo for me
-
im now switching off and going to do something less boring instead SACK OUR F**KING BOARD NOW!, SACK BENNET & CB

Unless Marius has decided to wave the money he believes he is due by ICT then I would say that it is far from over. The unanswered questions and ongoing silence only serve suggest that things have gone beyond dick measuring contests in the press and into the hands of the courts/authorities. Had things been sorted/cleared up then the press would have been on to it and we'd have seen stories of either "ICT forced to honour contract", "Marius left short changed" or something along those lines. If they're going to pick up on the fact he was stopped for a minor speeding offence, you can be sure they aren't going to miss something like this. I have no "inside" info and I have not been "gagged", the above is just my view/feel for the current situation. Anyway, back to the topic in hand......... We have 6 games in November, and if we aren't showing any signs of positive change in that time then I fail to see how the club could merit giving Brewster any more time. It's all fair and well to make excuses on the basis that he has a plan and he needs time to execute it, but the plan has to be sound in the first place and we have to be seeing signs that it is starting to bare fruit and things are moving in the right direction. Right now, I've not seen anything to suggest we are any better off now, or are turning in better, more consistent performances than we did on day 1 of the season, and that's the main reason I think we need to be giving serious consideration to changing the man in charge. i agree with your point CaleyD, but my point is people taking topics and ending up with Mariusgate when we are discussing CB anyway back on topic again, lol

Stevieco & IHE... this is your 1st yellow card, one more and your both off Mariusgate is over Maybe we can arrange a charity boxing match for you both, lol
