  1. I know what your trying to say CaleyD, but i think that in a way trying to maintain a Scottish Identity has been a problem for us IMO. Scottish Players havent really been setting the football world on fire in recent years, so i think our recent additions is the right way in order to compete with other SPL teams, as long as ICT dont start fielding an all foreign team I think our board has has a "keep it local" mentality of recent years, which im sure you will agree is football suicide..Sorry but you cant compete on a national stage with a local team. We do seem to have a good crop of youngsters ( Wood, Duff, Vigurs) and these guys have proven their good enough to compete for their place anyway i dont want to turn this post into a negative thread...on to Hamilton for a badly needed league win
  2. Ha, one in the eye for the serial moaners! Doesn,t take much for the pro Brewster peeps smugness to come out, does it. Its Partick thistle from the first division. At least we should get 6 points off them next season Pro-Brewster i am not Dewsbury..but many people did pour scorn over the 3 new faces without them playing a game in an ICT shirt, which i thought unfair. So hope they have changed their minds Born Caley while they had very good debuts and the signs look very good but I dont think to many will have made thier final desisions on players on one game particulary against a team from a division below. Is Brew a tactical genius by playing a winger up front then he scores 2 goals, I really dont know. Stevieco+ Dalneigh - I agree that it will take more than 1 game to change peoples minds, but there are too many posters who make judgements too early. Im willing to give them the chance and pass judgement after 2 or 3 games

  4. possibly too early to say but maybe some of the posters who thought these new players were duds might be trying to wipe the egg off their faces
  5. MORIUS AGAN...YEEES 3-0
  6. " Do something Zadi?"- Classic
  7. no Fking way,,,Morius scores ha ha
  8. with all the rubbish coming out of the commentators mouths on the BBC live stream, will anyone dare say "Caley for the cup" I think not Hope Brew knows what he is doing today... C'Mon Caley...shut thes gobby feckers up and bury Partick
  9. Considering this round is the first for SPL teams I can't see how they could be cup tied. do i read a hint of sarcasm there
  10. I very happy to see us with potentially 5 or 6 new faces and i dont agree that we should cast judgement until we have seen them play. Despite all the recent Brewster,Malky,Grassa & Board talk, i for one see these Transfers as being a positive step for the club. It cant be healthy for ICT to have players like Tolkley, Hastings & others to have little or no competition for their places..This only leads to complaceny, so hopefully new faces will put the wind up some of our regulars ps. Does anyone know if the 2 loaned Hibs players are cup tied..thinking out loud for the Partick game ?
  11. I see the OF are havng a winter sale. Mark Brown looks like being on the move. Not sure any SPL club will pay him his wages at Celtic. http://www.theherald.co.uk/sport/headlines...face_exodus.php
  12. BornCaley replied to PullMyFinger's topic in Caley Thistle
totally agree ICTodd...didnt like him as a player either whether he is smug or arrogant is besides the point. He is towing the company line and cant hide under the blamless blanket any longer
  13. BornCaley replied to PullMyFinger's topic in Caley Thistle
Grassa- you can GFT as well "it doesnt matter if an Idiot wears a jersey or a suit, he's still an idiot"
  14. HIELANDEE & 5TH STAND-- I know i appear to be Harsh, but its something that always bugged me. Im certainly too long in the tooth to be naive, I have only supported 1 team, well 2 really; Caledonian FC & ICT. I know from growing up in Inverness it was popular to have a "big team" as well as supporting thistle or clach or caley. And you can see what that has caused where we have Invernessians in the Home end supporting the OF. Its disgusting. I live in Edinburgh and it would be quite easy for me to support Hearts or Hibs, but why? Im an Invernessian and cant imagine supporting any other team than the one i grew up with. Im passionate about my team despite my location and desperate for Inverness to get behind it. We wanted an SPL team and now weve got it, the town seems to be abandoning it. anyway back on topic guys and no offense meant. Lets start by getting rid of CB & Malky...small steps
  15. 5th STAND... If there are ICT supporters who follow another SPL team then they should be ashamed of themselves...sorry but you cant do that Besides the point was about our stadium announcer...he's shocking
  16. LOVED THE 91 MINUTE SILENCE TODAY AT THE GAME.. ITS NO WONDER WE ARE WHERE WE ARE WHEN ALL I CAN HEAR IS THE AWAY SUPPORT SINGING... WE SHOULD ALL HAVE OUR HEADS IN OUR HANDS
  17. Firstly i agree that CB is not cutting it with ICT.. .Dressing room lost .Appauling Tactics .Dodgy transfers But lets face it..a new manager is not going to solve our problems. Yes i agree we need a new face in charge but please..we need a board who stop protecting their own interests and invest their monies in our club.. Many of the posters on here think a new manager will sort it out...but he will face the same barriers and hurdles that CB is facing. Lets face it our board's priorities are not the club...its their own pockets. Oh and lastly, get rid our stadium announcer, not only does he support another SPL team but surely his job is to create an atmosphere not just announce substitutions and the other teams goal scorers.
  18. Funny how things can be interrupted differently. During an interview where he's obviously been instructed to pedal the party line I read this one line as possibly showing encouragement/support for the fans to keep on making their views known. yeah , hilarious that was kind of my point, he did seem to be on the supporters side, but certain fans were removed from the TCS or banners removed due to making their views known The board can wheel out who they like to appease the fans unrest with the obligatory " we understand" line, but the fact is that we are heading for relegation, and i for one dont need soundbites from under-performing players in the local press to make it better..its a bit insulting
  19. ?The fans can shout whatever they want; they pay their money and understandably can say what they want. what you on about Munro - havent some of our supporters been kicked out of the ground or harassed because of saying what they want. rather than put your foot in your mouth shut up and put your foot against the ball hard so it hits the net
  20. Just a thought...Nothing much has been reported about the fans unrest with the management/board of late. A mass stay-away will only be seen as us having a crappy support rather than a serious message to the board.
  21. guys ( Stevieco, IHE, EWS) i agree with mostly everything your saying as as you put it IHE i also live & die for this club.. We all know deep down what happened with Maruis, so why the need for an official to tell us what we already know. Its business, money & politics...with little to do with football Lets move on and keep this club above water, because right now we are treading water surely with more pressing issues ( SPL survival & slight managerial issues). Ive actually forgotten what this thread was all about. anyway back to you for Marius-Tennis
  22. Another IHE & Stevieco face off... tis about time some of us left the Marius door shut once for all..sorry but who cares now
  23. Its time for the board to get a pair and give him an ultimatum... oh! dont get me wrong, he is not alone in the blame game. Its time for us to give the board the same ultimatum Brewster & the Board.. get it sorted or these supporters will not show up. Now i have to go to work on Monday and face a Dons supporter who has never been to an Aberdeen game
  24. I totally agree Alex with your comments, but surely our situation is wholly unacceptable to the other 10 SPL managers. To be honest, i cant see an easy solution to the stranglehold OF have over the entire game in Scotland, but i gurantee that this subject will not even make it onto the minutes of the newly formed SPL managers forum or the suppposed shake-up announced by the SFA chief recently. On a side not, but still linked.. As soon as the OF sniff at other teams players, Its becoming impossible for the other SPL teams to keep hold onto them..thus perpetuating the dominance that exists... Its the Romans & the Christains, the British Colonials & the Empire, C3PO & R2D2
