  1. you know what...I really should read these things before opening my mouth. I didnt realise that the under 8 deal was for the kids of Adult ST holders... So im gonna change my mind slightly on this matter. I agree that it looks a tad unfair, but its on the right path....the club need to attract kids to these games and there was a lot of young kids at the St Mirren game which was great to see... My nephew wasnt bored and sang along with some of the singing and asked questions about players...he even spotted the photographer getting his laptop smacked by the ball...v funny but my point of the thread is how do we attract more fans...i thought being the last game of the seaon that the crowd would be more than 3,500 people..ok the FA cup was on. But i thought at least there would be free entry deal for kids at the last game..but no shame really
  2. Hey I took my nephew to his first ICT game on Saturday...by doing that i believe he will go back and not fall into the " i support Celtic or Rangers" trap...so we need a couple of thousand others like me to take their kids/nephews/neices to ICT games and get them hooked I think the recent free season tix for under 8's. And i hope they have more incentives to generate the next generation of ICt fans...

the season has been dissapointing but not a disaster. Next year is judgement year for us & CB.... Also its a double edge sword...ICT cant buy the players we need if we dont increase our home crowd....and it seems people stay away because there are no big players at the club ( not my words!!) CB has another 12 months to improve our record

the last 15 minutes against Hearts at Tynecastle in our 3-2 win... a penalty/a sending off/ an equalizing goal then our winner...pure edge of the seat entertainment...althought the win againt Celtic wont be forgotten either
  5. looks like the late 70's to me...the strips & the ball look of that era
  6. Great news for Marius.. He deserves it.....but as always there is a little cynic in me that thinks that some of the ICT board will be rubbing their hands if he plays a blinder at Euro 08
  7. Er didnt you write that? I might just do that...it will go nicely with my "Caley all the Way" book that i still have from years ago
  8. Thanks Charles...I must admit ive only hear rumours about the Anti Merger lot over the years...even some that they were still going with their court cases only a few years ago.. anyway thanks for that Peace
  9. Oh jeez..maybe i have opened old wounds...which was not the point of the post I dont think its important these days who did what at the time...it was a long time ago and we stand side by side now with one voice what is important is ICT and the future of this club we love so much
  10. I agree with that as well tree
  11. any one have any idea why Marius was on the left in the 2nd half....
  12. Marius is indeed a name, and as ive noted in my previous thread (" ICT Vision or Not"), he' s a big name in Romania, but typical ICT they havent exploited that market in any way in terms of TV rights etc etc. Celtic & Man U both have in terms of the Far Eastern markets....but thats getting off the point. The Huckerby rumour is just what we need for those extra bums on seats...maybe not 2,000 buts its a start
  13. Govan Jaggie...I started the poll/Thread because im a newbie to this site. Living in Edinburgh for the last 10 years im out of touch of whats happening to my club locally, albiet i goto all the away games & a few home games, im not hearing the rumours etc etc like i used to. so i merely wanted to see who's who. Theres no intent on opening any wounds, besides there long gone as far as im concered. To be honest ive always wanted to know about the thistle side of ICT....Ive been Caley, Caley Caley all my life and i suppose at the time i didnt really think about my Thistle bro's until now. And i agree that its history now, and i dont look to the past, but should i then i visit the Caley or Thistle Nostalgia web sites for those memories, sniff!. Peace Chris
  14. Bottom line is that we have maintined our footing in the SPL. No-one expected us to last past our first season in the top flight. I just want to see us making a challenge and to do that we need rid of the players who belong in the 1st division and get some new blood in. We need a name to get people in those seats and that comes from investment. Brewster is a clever man and while his tactics leave me questioning his abilty to manage us ( Marius on the left today- whats that about), there is no doubt that he has the skill to motivate the team. Hence why i want to see what he does next season. Bottom 6 of the SPL is simply not to be accepted next season for me and i for one am not going to be grateful just to be in the SPL...We left that mentality behind 14 years ago. Peace
  15. yes but not at ICT.Its time for a radical change...and Dennis is not the only one
  16. I have many happy memories of derby days at Kingsmills & Telford street..those games were big crowds, similar to the Caley v C**ty games, so Thistle had a decent sized support. However a lot of Thistle fans were of the opinion that they were taken over rather than merged. With hindsight i can see their point now anyway we are all one big happy family now huh!
  17. I think it was easier for Caley fans to accept ICT than our Thistle brothers & sisters. Although the anti-merger mob were all Caley as far as i know.
  18. A very good point Charles, hence why i added a Other or Neither option for the Tom Caley jags of the world who were maybe too young to follow Caley or Thistle or god forbid supported Rangers, Celtic or Aberdeen llike so many of my friends did while i stood on the Howden End you mention an old folks home...did you mean the Caley club in Grieg Street, lol
  19. thanks TCJ...i didnt know you could add a poll untill now...done & added I would have though IHE was a Caley man as well especially with the Howden end in his name..lol
  20. I dont know if this has been asked before but maybe the moderators can offer a poll to see who supported who prior to the Merger Caledonian for me
  21. thanks TCJ...shouldnt you be in a maths exam,lol

I hate the old firm boo hoo...the spl wont extend the league boo hoo...the referees dont like us I hate Aberdeen as well...ever since Joe Harper & Doug Rougvie kicked Caley players all over Teford Street at a friendly in the early 80's...I think they broke Peter Corbetts nose in that game...animals then animals now
  23. i am now officially bored with the Gretna situation....oh isnt t his the 3rd " deadline" they have set.... boo hoo. Thats what they get for relying on a single investor who bought them their SPL place. My only concern is where will be get the 12 points next season from whan they go
  24. I agree that Marius should stay on next season. As for the Couriers ascertion that only Romanian based players will make the Euro team....er Adrian Mutu anyone!! anyway,,,the people behind the "dressing room unrest" should really look at what career there in...football has no market median in reards to wages, so if they feel hard done by that Marius is getting a larger wage....thats because he is an International player with some talent...so should earn a larger wage on the pitch otherwise shut up. Marius is what we need to keep those seats warm. Disgusting as it is a named player gets the crowds in
  25. Right...if this guy is the Cheif Executive then he has no right to censor the ICT fans. If we are not allowed to have an opinion about the clube we love then we have the right to stay away as well. So Mr Smith has confirmed that the club indeed do not care about the fans and their voice, only their money!!! His job ( whatever that is) is surely to help run the club...I dont imagine Security is in his job spec Mr Smith....Do your job and leave the fans alone
