Where are all these Scottish players who want to sign for us? As someone pointed out already, there was a number of them last year who refused contract offers from ICT. How can you sign players that don't exist, aren't available or won't come here for what we can offer?

Don't disagree with you SMEE, just saying that there's some people who will find fault, regardless of the situation. Also, Scotland faces a situation whereby the setup doesn't support the production and retention of enough of our own talent. That's not down to any individual team and the smaller a teams budget the less able they are to combat it. For the size of ICT I think they actually do a pretty admirable job of bringing through younger players, but it's hard when the moment a youngster shows the slightest hint of promise they are lured away by bigger clubs...and not just bigger clubs in Scotland. Year after year ICT see the youths plundered and they are powerless to do anything about it.- Best moment and worse moment
Best - First promotion to the SPL. Worst - Realising that as a site Admin I couldn't put IHE on Ignore!!!- Fans End of Season Evening
This event is now fully subscribed. Sorry if you have missed out this time, but keep an eye for other similar events at the start of next season. The Football Club have teamed up with the Supporters Trust to bring the fans an End of Season get together with a special twist for the kids. For more information and to book - click here Unfortunately the Supporters Trust have been unable to squeeze the Tenpin Bowling evening into a tight end of season schedule. However, keep your eyes open on our website and facebook page as we do intend to hold it around the start of the season instead.- Daily Record article
I wasn't saying it was ok (or otherwise). I would love for us to have a competitive team made up entirely of Scottish players...I would love even more if we could have a competitive team made up entirely of Highland players...and even better still if they had all come through our youth setup....but it ain't ever going to happen and regardless of how many Scots we have, if someone is of a mind to find fault with the team then they will, regardless.- Daily Record article
And had we a team of Scottish players and churned out the season we just have then we'd have folks on ranting that we were insular and should be looking beyond Scotland to sign players...in fact, I'm pretty sure the later is a point that came up for discussion on here a few years back.- Caption Compettion
"Don't worry, I've got you a place over the bridge"- Supporters Trust - "Quids In" Membership
For those who have not yet seen the article - http://ictsupporters...upporters-trust The ICT Supporters Trust have announced that they are reducing the cost of membership to just £1 with no annual renewal fee....although people are welcome to donate more if they so wish!!! The article gives more detail on the reasons but we would be happy to answer any questions or queries anyone might have...either here on this thread, or you can send them to us via e.mail - [email protected] A copy of the membership application will be sent out with season ticket renewals (our thanks to the club for their assistance) and is available for download from the Supporters Trust website...one is also attached to this post to make it easy for you. Further to the above we will be putting together a Member Benefits Scheme which will be available as a separate subscription. We'll be talking to the club more about this over the next few weeks to see how we can work together, but are also interested in hearing from any other companies or organisations who may wish to partner up. We have a few ideas on the things we would like to include but are also open to any suggestions you guys/gals may have. trust_mem_app_new.pdf- Daily Record article

That'll be a no to the apology then?- Quids in with Supporters Trust
The Inverness Caledonian Thistle Supporters Trust Board today (25th April) launched thier new “Quid’s In” membership plan. With immediate effect, the Trusts membership fee has been reduced to £1 and the annual renewal fee set at zero. Membership is open to all fans and the £1 is used to secure the members share in the Trust which entitles them to attend and vote at General Meetings of the Society. Under 16’s are unable to hold a share or vote but are just as welcome to join the Trust. Young fans are the future and we are keen to engage with and include them as much as possible. In addition, we will be introducing a separate Member Benefits Scheme. The above is in line with the inclusive nature of the organisation and, by seperating the two aspects, the cost of member benefits will no longer be a barrier to those who wish to be a part of, and contribute to, the Trust. It also allows us to deliver the member benefits independenly in a way, and at a cost which is of benefit to the fans, the club and the community which it serves. Talks will be taking place with the club over the coming weeks to see how best we can work together on compiling a package of benefits, but we are also interested in hearing from any business or organisation who may wish to partner with us. Trust Members Secretary, Don Johnstone, said “We are constantly evaluating what we do and where we sit within the ICT Community and with some tough times ahead for Scottish Football then it’s more important than ever that the fans pull together and that we are prepared for whatever is around the corner.” Supporters Trusts are often portrayed as being there to wrestle ownership and control of clubs back from private individuals and corporate owners, but that’s not been the case at Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The Supporters Trust do have a 10%+ voting right in the Club and it’s important that as many fans as possible are involved in how that voice is used, however it’s just as important to concentrate on finding ways for club and fans to work together. Support is a two way street and the club have thrown their weight behind the “Quid’s In” plan by including a membership application with every season ticket renewal that goes out this year. Club Chairman, Kenny Cameron said “We have a very close working relationship with the Trust Chairman Peter Murphy and his Board and it is pleasing to see this new initiative come to fruition. We are always keen to develop the links between the Club and the fan base and hopefully in the not too distant future we will see all the fan groups come together under the one umbrella, something that everyone at the club would be keen to see. Strength in depth and continually looking at ways of increasing membership can only add to the voice of the fans in terms of their dialogue with the club. The club are delighted to assist with the distribution of membership application forms, and I am sure Peter and his Board would be only too happy to provide further detail on the operations of the Trust should this be required by any prospective members.” The ICT Supporters Trust was formed back in 2005 when a new, more open and democratic, fans organisation was needed to inherit the protected rights of the fans which had been secured by the previous Members Club following the clubs formation back in 1994. Don Johnstone explains “We are a not-for-profit, fully democratic (one member, one vote) society who operate primarily for community, as opposed to member, benefit...perhaps easier to think of us as a co-operative, where the strength of the group can be greater than the sum of its parts.” However....representing and promoting the interests of the ICT Fans is only one facet of the Supporters Trust. Don Johnstone commented “We also work hard to strengthen the bonds between the club and the community it operates within. That might sound a little boring, but the best way to encourage everyone to work together is to get them playing together. We do that in a variety of ways with the different events we run...and that entails having plenty of fun. It also allows us to raise the funds needed to support the various projects we get involved in.” For those who wish to join the ICT Supporters Trust, a form can be downloaded from the website at www.ictsupporterstrust.co.uk- Butchers No Show at Testimonial
Wonder how many of those who were tearing a strip off Butcher and claiming he should have shown some humility will take a leaf from their own book and offer up an apology?- Rangers go into administration
- A new season, a new start
Sorted, bit of an unfair question as the whole point of "Faith" is that you don't need to justify it!!!- Rangers go into administration
- Rangers go into administration
The SFA do have rules and procedures in place regarding "Fit and Proper" persons. Rangers completed all the necessary paperwork that showed he was....i.e. they lied to the SFA. I believe that is the reason they have been fined. The embargo is in relation to the non-payment of PAYE and NIC...in other words they have demonstrated an inability to responsibly employ players. I would say the punishments are entirely fitting and despite what some might have you believe, they are not being punished for being in administration by the SFA.....although it is entirely possible that they could yet face further sanctions for bringing the game into disrepute.- Rangers go into administration
- Points tally
Some of us may disagree with the reasons, but there's no denying it's our worst SPL season ever. In fact, I don't remember enjoying any other season in our history less than this one. I do fear that some of our players view the season as being over and have switched off....a very dangerous mindset when we are not yet safe.- Butchers No Show at Testimonial
An event to honour two ICT Legends and all you seem to be worried about is using it to score points in some kind of Butcher Witch Hunt. Give yourselves a shake, ffs.- Will Next Season Be Butcher's Last?
Yeah...people are forever telling me that!!!- Will Next Season Be Butcher's Last?
The majority of SPL clubs showed an increase in attendances .Your love of Butcher is obvious but really it's time to take the rose-tinted glasses off . Think I prefer those glasses to your blinkers.- Will Next Season Be Butcher's Last?
Yeah, because the whole sorry state of Scottish Football has made no contribution to that decline in attendances whatsoever!!!- Butchers No Show at Testimonial
