Some of the comments on this thread are crossing the line in terms of getting personal and abusive.....enough already. Posts have been removed. Apologies for any non abusive posts/replies removed in the clean up, but with all the quoting it was just easier to remove everything.

I'm almost beyond caring who comes and goes.....I just hope we still have a club come the end of the season.

Merged: I BELIEVE.
This is not a fact at all Charles, very far from it and despite the smiley (well placed I must say as you can now claim I took the bait) it is not a matter that should be so easily glossed over. You, and others, should really check your facts before pedalling these events as being some kind of club saving move on the part of David Sutherland as they are ultimately proving to be the events which are dragging this club down a very dark road. You're no stranger to journalism....and investigative journalism at that. I suggest you stop listening to the tosh that's dished out by the self preservationists in the Heathmount and go do some proper investigation into the matter yourself. Here's a couple of starters for you...... How much was it costing the club to service the debt that existed and how much have we been paying in rent since? Who actually took ownership of the Stadium Buildings and the leasehold? It wasn't any charitable trust. What % of shares do ICT hold in the company that owns the new stands?....you know, the ones we paid about ?250,000 toward!!! Furthermore, the reasons we were given for selling the stadium on the cheap was that the debt was preventing people from making further investment in the club. Nearly 10 years on and there's no sign of these investors that were waiting in the wings....and those who have been prepared to invest something have been shunned and driven out the door. Any money invested in this club, and it's not been as much as some people think, by David Sutherland he has had back many times over and he continues to benefit from what's gone on whilst the wounds inflicted in the past 10 years continue to fester and weaken us. Some might claim "That's Business"...and to a certain extent I might agree, but please, don't try and paint the man as some kind of White Knight who has done any of this for any reason other than his own self interest. No "White Knight" would sit back and watch the club perish as they prepare to go laughing all the way to the bank. The long and short of it Charles, is that you are a person of general good standing among ICT fans and it is totally irresponsible of you to be pedalling such ill informed stories....this is not the first time we've butted heads on this matter, so please don't try playing the ignorance card. Even if you don't believe everything I am telling you, you know things aren't as you portray them and you know it is a subject worthy of proper investigation.

Official - County game is OFF
Charles, we don't agree on much....or more accurately I care less about what people think of me than you do and feel no need to "keep in" with certain crowds and speak my mind more openly....if you did the same then we may agree on more. There's more "good" posters on CTO than bad ones....unfortunately the erseholes seem to post more often and flood the prominent threads with excrement which gives the more sensible thinking users/fans a bad name. If it was up to me I'd get rid of the feckers who only serve to bring the majority of the fanbase down which is quite a sad state of affairs as the majority of fans deserve better than what they get from not only the club but the twats that do us all a huge disservice. Bring on 2010......this will be the real making of this club. This will be the year where the true fanbase will be trule tested. We're headed for the chit heap thanks to those in charge and if the fans can't pull together then ICT will disappear forever. Game postponements, who might come and go, which man will manage us, which players will play for us, what pies are served and how long it takes......it all means feck all. Our fans need to grow some balls and prepare for the fight if they want this club to continue and if they want it to realise it's true potential.

Official - County game is OFF
So we have a fecking game of football at the Bught tomorrow or what? None of this miserable whinging about whether the game should have been called off or not, let's all get together with the county fans for a bit of craic and footballing carnage.

Official - County game is OFF
Home and Away season tickets are valid for this one since it's a neutral venue. Free admission for everyone else though I'm afraid.....whoever brings the ball will get a comp ticket.

Official - County game is OFF
No pitch clearing...the snow will be left to add an extra element to the game and it's BYOP I'm afraid :eat02:

All those who are so desperate for some football should arrange to meet at the Bught tomorrow for a mass fans game in the snow.....I'll bring a megaphone and do announcements/commentary :002:

Official - County game is OFF
There's two major flaws in your argument skifreak.... First off, you're assuming that the fans have the sense to decide for themselves whether or not it's safe to travel and they simply don't....people will do their utmost to get to the game regardless of conditions. I've done it in the past and would likely do it again in the future. Secondly, by pushing ahead with the game then you are expecting players and staff to make the journey regardless of conditions. That's at least 40 people on the playing side, as many again, if not more, stadium and catering staff and then you've got police, stewards and media to add into the equation. If these people take up the advice of "Only travel if it is vital" and stay at home you could end up with 3000+ fans at the stadium to see a game that gets cancelled because they simply don't have the staff to see the game go ahead.

Official - County game is OFF
It would be shear folly for the club to ignore the advice of the police. If they were to do that and anyone so much as slipped and bruised their butt trying to get to the game then they would be crucified for it. Better to have a few people put out than risk safety.

Pitch/Stadium Clearing ***Derby OFF***
Lots of people were certain last weeks game would be cancelled....and it wasn't.
-
Pitch/Stadium Clearing ***Derby OFF***
The problem is any ice that might have formed on the stands and walkways....if they managed to get that cleared and a good amount of salt/grit down then baring a thaw/freeze cycle before Saturday then it will only need a quick sweep and re-salted. The best thing the pitch can have at the moment is a good cover of snow...it keeps the frost off and is as effective as pitch covers, and was probably the main reason they managed to get the game on last weekend.

Pitch/Stadium Clearing ***Derby OFF***
Here's an idea, why don't you get down to TCS and direct your hot air towards the pitch....it would be cleared in no time at all then.

Pitch/Stadium Clearing ***Derby OFF***
As per last week we require the following help to make Saturday?s game happen: Thursday 31st December - 10am ? Volunteers required to remove snow from the stands and the pathways Saturday 2nd January - 8am ? Volunteers required to remove snow from the pitch Without help the game is in danger of not going ahead so we need as many people as possible. If you can help, please contact Tabitha Walker and give your name either by email [email protected] or phone 01463 227453 We have a supply of plastic shovels and wheel barrows but if you have your own, please bring them down. Thanks very much in advance for your support p.s. Hot pies, tea, coffee & juice will be provided

Injuries....
You always get a few suspect "minor injuries" leading up to transfer windows. Also, it's always those considered to be the better players and it always happens in training. It's not just ICT either. I can't be ersed checking my facts on this, but I'm sure of you looked around the league/s then the majority will have a similar situation.

Dee Day For Butcher?
?3K an hour to run USH  - Your source is extracting the urine me thinks....either that or ICT are heating the whole of Inverness and that's why our finances are, allegedly, so bad. If, as is being suggested, the finances are so tight and the club are operating hand to mouth then that would be the main reason as to why they would use it. Running it for a day or two would save them more money than they would lose from a reduced crowd at a re-arranged mid-week fixture. ?3k in total (USH, snow shovels, grit etc) to ensure the fixture went ahead would probably be a fair estimate. You only need to lose a couple of hundred off the gate and postponing becomes the more expensive option.

Motherwell looking for new boss
Given the bookmakers history with these things then you can probably discount the top 4 or 5 from the list

Who ate all the pies?
I could name a half dozen butchers who do nice pies, but you need more than a supplier as the food doesn't serve itself. On the flip side, if you get a good serveries company then they're not able to source premium local produce and sell it on at sufficient profit to justify the business. Therein lies the biggest problem......building a justifiable business model around 20 to 25 days trading a year and one which has 3 people all looking for a profit (supplier, seller and club). Finding a supplier (with the high quality produce being demanded) who is also willing/able to take care of the serveries on matchdays and do it all in a manner which generates acceptable income for them and the club is the hard bit. Those who know me know I'm not normally quick to defend the club when things aren't right, but having seen the process gone through with this I do know that they are trying and will continue to push for improvements with Lindley where it's needed. As has been said already, the deal is for 5.5 years (seasons) but their is termination clauses and if Lindley aren't delivering and/or they aren't getting what they were promised from the deal then either party can exercise those clauses and go their own way.....so it's not a case of them doing as they please now they have a foot in the door. Anyway, when all is said and done and with some of the news/rumours currently doing the rounds, I think pies are the least of our worries.....so perhaps a bit of perspective is also required.

Online Match Highlights...Update
Thanks for the offer of help and I will definitely keep you in mind. I think I have the editing covered for now, but it never does any harm (in fact I hope to encourage it) to have a couple of people available for each task....prevents it becoming a bind and allows cover for holidays etc etc. We're just looking at home games for now but if/when we extend it to away games then access would not be a problem as all clubs have to facilitate visiting crews. As we're also using a borrowed camera I wouldn't even ask to be able to take it on the road. Hopefully once we're up and running we can look to invest in some equipment though and I already have feelers out with ideas for funding that. In saying that, any semi decent camera can produce decent results...and beggars can't be choosers If you know in advance which home games you can make then drop me a PM as I'm trying to get a schedule together for the remainder of the season. Thanks Again.
