  1. Those comments are nothing more than an attempt to add weight to the argument for a winter break.
  2. :015: - Quality
  3. Our bid for Rankin made during the January transfer was never officially rejectd, it expired when the transfer window closed. I believe our last offer for Rankin has not (to date) been officially rejected.
  4. The difference RiG, is that ICT approached C*unty through the proper channels before they made any comment in the press. It would appear that Dundee Utd are trying to garner interest from players through the press and are not using the proper channels to open up discussions.
  5. Not really - Scotty and I have done the temporary Official website you can view from the link at the bottom of the left menu. The club made the decision to go an alternate route with the Official Site, and although it is not to my liking they have their reasons and I hope, it is everything they think it will be. The club have been up front with us and we continue to offer them any support and assistance they ask for, and will continue to do so if they need it.
  6. Fixtures available on left hand menu Footy Focus > First Team http://hmssneck.com/ict/index.php?option=c...&Itemid=269
  7. In the past we have benefited from being the "Official" club site and been covered under thier license (Yes, clubs do have to pay to display thier own fixtures also) - however since the split we now have to take care of it ourselves.
  8. It's the stories it could tell us about you that would be most interesting :015:
  9. It's nothing startling, but I have seen a lot worse. Boring as opposed to Bogging would probably be a better description.
  10. You don't know how funny that really is.......ar maybe you do? :001:

I can't believe that people still bite the minute IHE dangles the bait :015:
  12. On paper it would be easy enough to place us among the bottom four in all honesty. However, our strengths do not lie on what is shown on paper. We have an "X Factor" which doesn't exist in many teams IMO and that is what sets us apart as the best of the rest.
  13. That has to be one of the best articles about ICT I have read in a long time. At last the realisation that we are not just here to make up the numbers and our performance on the pitch is not down to some kind of blind luck or good fortune.
  14. It's not MY event, it was an event being organised by people from the site who I offered assistance. The originals thoughts were the 29th - but with that being the first game of the season we faced the same issues as the Supporters Club in not knowing whether we would be home or away in terms of organising for then. It was too be an open event for anyone who wished to come along, not just a "wee get together" of friends. Despite the perceived "status" of any group of fans, be they paid up members of a group or otherwise, we are all fans and if we can't work together for our own benefit, then god help us should we ever be in the situation where we have to work together for anything which threatens the club. Alex.......I take umbrage with being called selfish, especially by someone who does not know me. If expecting a little common courtesy is selfish, then I am guilty as charged. Yet again, I am the one who has gone out of my way to do the right thing and to consider others when doing stuff and yet again I am the one made to look like the bad b@stard. Mountains out of Molehills? Maybe. But when you have been dumped on so many times by so many people you tend to lose your perspective somewhat. Que Sera - It will not stop me from doing what I believe is right and from treating others as I expect to be treated. I would rather work with people instead of butting heads all the time, but that doesn't seem to be how the current regime works. I do have one apology to make, and it is not for anything I have said or done, it is a personal apology to Maimie for directing my initial comments at her as an individual.
  15. As the events were likely to have a crossover in terms of the people attending we afforded the Supporters Club the Courtesy of checking with them first as we did not wish to compete with their plans or detract in any way from people attending the EOS Party - Selfish of us to have done that? I also don't think it is Selfish in the slightest to have expected they show us the same consideration, or at least made us aware that due to restrictions in regard to Stadium and Player availability for the event they had no option but to opt for a date at the end of July. If we had known we would have put our plans on ice quite happily. The Supporters Club is simply a title for a group of fans working to arrange things for the fans. Just because the other fans who were arranging another event have no title, it does not mean they should be simply ignored.
  16. I understand that Maimie - but had you come back and said that due to arrangement issues you were looking at end of July then it would have saved me, and others, wasted work. We have written to Police, written to and visited the Council to get permission etc. I have called in favours from people to make things available to me which they will have refused other bookings on, and now I will look a right plum when I turn round and say "sorry you my have lost bookings there I no longer need it" You knew we were looking at end of July, the very least you could have done was checked after we had afforded you the courtesy of checking with you in the first instance. Instead you respond with a "F*ck you Jack we're ok". Not even so much as an apology!!!! And people wonder I get so worked up over stuff.
  17. Maimie - thanks for that - you may recall I had the courtesy to send you a message making you aware that a few site users were arranging an event for the end of July and to check that it did not clash or come close to anything which the Supporters Club were organising (we even made the offer of allowing the Supporters Club/Trust the option to run a raffle or something to raise funds from it). I fully understand the issues with arranging venues etc etc. Unfortunately all the work that has gone in to arranging our event will now have been wasted as we were not afforded the same courtesey we afforded you.

The Berriedale tought me one of lifes great lessons - it's easier to drive uphill with (a trailer on) in snow than it is to get down the other side.
  19. Someone told me the t-shirt place in the market was closed??? I haven't been past there recently so I have no idea, maybe someone knows for certain? I know the club have (or had) a machine for putting the numbers on - think it was another of Tommy's many jobs.
  20. Doing both the training camp and the Intertoto was not down to any clash of dates - it was financial reasons and pre-season preperation. CC has been working with a tops sports scientist to put a structured pre-season training plan into place. I believe they had plans in place for oneor the other and messing too much with that by trying to fit both in may do more harm than good.

No worries - and I don't disagree with what your saying.

Don't shoot the messenger - if you want answers to your questions you can contact the club via the contacts page on the official site or call them on 01463 222880.
  23. I actually found it quite funny that they had a program about their travels which probably lasted longer than the trip itself :015: I was flicking between channels and caught the "The players have 7 pairs of boots each" line which was enough for me.

Hope they got the spelling right!!!!
