  1. Have the rest been stolen?
  2. I don't know, but if extra allocation issued then you have to think it's majority of initial 1300.
  3. No doubt in my mind....unless some people are just buying tickets for a laugh!!
  4. As it stands, fans will be able to pay on the day. This is thanks to Elgin who have managed to provide a few more tickets...over and above the original 1300.
  5. If they're good enough for Man Utd.....
  6. Speculating as I don't know details of the contract, but would have been certain conditions which would have allowed him to trigger the option....like making a certain number of appearances or whatever. Assuming whatever it was hasn't been realised and can't be by end of season, so option couldn't be triggered....either at all or in full.
  7. I'll take that bet!
  8. Tickets are now available to purchase online https://www.eticketing.co.uk/ictfc/ (they weren't online for the priority as the system doesn't contain information on shareholders).
  9. Agreed. Even with the amateurs, a lot of them are pulling date from sources which use Opta and just presenting it differently. Because it's such an expensive and time consuming process there's very few companies doing it and price means that sources tend to stick with a single source....so you don't often get cross comparison of the data. As I said, Opta's accuracy only really raised alarm bells with me this season when they made a few big errors and I then went to other sources, as well as running some checks on stuff by analysing a couple of games myself. Admittedly, missing a couple of passes when looking at dozens of them is not going to cause the same level of discrepancy as missing a couple of shots in a game where there's a much fewer number, so it's possibly not as big a deal....but, as a statto, I hate it when people give you crap data and expect you to extrapolate information that is then presented as fact.
  10. Was able to get my hands on the official number for visiting fans from the Elgin game at TCS....it was 1184. Stand capacity is 2496....so not quite half full.
  11. Not doubting the methodology (I like the concept of the article), but I have highlighted big flaws in the Opta data several times this season; where numbers have been hugely out of sync with reality. So much so that it's what lead me to look into it in the first place. They're struggling to get some of the simple things right like number of shots, fouls, offsides etc (they've even missed substitutions more than once) and that leaves me in doubt as to how accurate the rest of what they're doing is. Even more disappointing when you consider that the SPFL are paying them large sums of money for licenses to use their data and information....as are the likes of Sky, BBC, BT....which gives the perception that they should be considered an authority on the matter and as such most people don't question the output....especially when that output fits with their untested perceptions.
  12. Strike the bit about thinking it may not be Opta as I see on screenshots from the source twitter account for the graphs being produced that it is Opta based.
  13. We need a sleverer smiley.
  14. Any idea on what source data is being used? I only ask because it's became increasingly apparent this season that the Opta data is very unreliable. I actually suspect it's maybe not Opta data as the info looks almost identical to analysis that the club has access to from elsewhere.
  15. The Man, the Boy, and the Donkey A MAN and his son were once going with their Donkey to market. As they were walking along by its side a countryman passed them and said: “You fools, what is a Donkey for but to ride upon?” So the Man put the Boy on the Donkey and they went on their way. But soon they passed a group of men, one of whom said: “See that lazy youngster, he lets his father walk while he rides.” So the Man ordered his Boy to get off, and got on himself. But they hadn’t gone far when they passed two women, one of whom said to the other: “Shame on that lazy lout to let his poor little son trudge along.” Well, the Man didn’t know what to do, but at last he took his Boy up before him on the Donkey. By this time they had come to the town, and the passers-by began to jeer and point at them. The Man stopped and asked what they were scoffing at. The men said: “Aren’t you ashamed of yourself for overloading that poor Donkey of yours—you and your hulking son?” The Man and Boy got off and tried to think what to do. They thought and they thought, till at last they cut down a pole, tied the Donkey’s feet to it, and raised the pole and the Donkey to their shoulders. They went along amid the laughter of all who met them till they came to Market Bridge, when the Donkey, getting one of his feet loose, kicked out and caused the Boy to drop his end of the pole. In the struggle the Donkey fell over the bridge, and his fore-feet being tied together he was drowned. “That will teach you,” said an old man who had followed them: “TRY TO PLEASE ALL, AND YOU WILL PLEASE NONE. ALL YOU'RE LIKELY TO DO IS LOSE YOUR ASS!!”
  16. You're not a city anymore!
  17. Looked into this...apparently it changed a couple of years back but none of the staff here seemed aware of it and this is the first time it's come to light. Thanks for highlighting it and the information has now been updated. This seemed strange so I checked and what was said/meant was that sales had been slower today than the past 2 days. Still tickets available thought (and will go on General Sale) so echo the call to get behind the team...thanks. This was fed back to Ticketmaster who will attempt to ascertain who gave out this information and why. Perhaps some confusion over main stand tickets (which are sold out) and the terracing tickets....but that's just a guess on my part. Apologies on behalf of ICTFC for any inconvenience.
  18. Don't recommend people post phone numbers on a public forum.
  19. Due to limit facilities and resource at the club, it's just not possible to handle demand for all calls to the ticket office. If people want to try that instead of the call centre they are welcome, but the club can't make any guarantee that you will be able to get through.
  20. Concession categories confirmed as Over 60, Under 18 and Full Time Students with a valid matriculation card. Please note that matriculation card needs to be shown at time of purchase AND on entry to the match. Please also note that due to them not necessarily all being on the ticket system, any Shareholders who are NOT Season Ticket Holders should phone 01463 227451 if looking to purchase tickets. All others should use the call centre number listed on the website. The call centre number is available 24/7 Mon to Fri from 8am till 8pm and will continue to operate when the club ticket office is closed.
  21. Based on info provided it is an additional service train and prices will be the same as any other service train would if operating at the times given.
  22. Just looking back up the thread a bit and to answer the question on matchday ticket sales....it would all come down to whether or not there's any left to sell on the day. Given the limited number of tickets provided....and little chance of there being any more made available due to the way ground is being segregated....the club are anticipating us selling out our allocation before then.
  23. Info now been put up on the Official Website : On sale to Priority Groups from Wednesday at Midday http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/1862-scottish-cup-tickets-elgin
  24. Don't use it much after setting up on Bebo.
