  1. Initially there seemed to be some tactic with the corners, where Greenhalgh and Polworth would play a short one, but it never really came off. There was only one free kick in a decent area from what I can remember, which Greenhalgh booted over the bar. Mckay was already off by the penalty was given, but Graeme Shinnie doesn't seem a natural penalty taker to me if I'm honest.
  2. I was there! Out of everyone, I thought Ryan Christie was rather impressive. He's not very big, but he's good on the ball and seems to have a decent shot on him as well. Can see him becoming a first team regular from 2014 onwards. Of the new signings - James Vincent - Didn't really notice him that much, but maybe for his position that's a good thing. From what I do remember of him, he's like a tidier Russell Duncan. Ben Greenhalgh - Certainly fast and skilful, could possibly do with learning when the right time to release the ball is and try and brings others into the game, and not just going for glory himself at every opportunity. Can see him turning out to be more effective as a "super sub" this season. Adam Evans - Seemed decent enough going forward and has a decent cross. Dean Brill and Joe Gorman - Didn't really have much to deal with in the time they were on and seem to deal with everything they did have to deal with fairly routinely. And leaving the best to last - Marley Watkins - Now I know you shouldn't judge too much with it being Keith and that, but this guy looks like he has something to me. Fast, skilful, a good cross, hard working and unselfish. Wouldn't at all be surprised if he turns out to be the best of the lot of the new signings. Looked promising to me anyway.
  3. Keith on Saturday was a £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and £1 if you wanted to sit in the stand, which was paid on entry to it. I'd presume the prices would be about the same for Forres. All the evening friendlies are 7.30pm kick-offs I believe, except Clach which is 7pm for some reason.
  4. Does anyone know anything about this Nick Draper character? Is he a local who's come through the youth set-up or has he been released by someone else? (I see Wikipedia has him down as English, but I don't know how reliable that is)
  5. I can't really see how I could have found a better source for the spelling, especially after looking at official ones. Also, having never met the man (though I do see him walking by my house in a Linfield jersey from time to time ), I haven't had a chance to ask him how he spells his name and even if I did, I doubt that'd be the first question I'd ask him!
  6. One would have thought, that if it were a small k, then the name on his shirt would've been presented as "MCKAY"? Whatever the spelling is (and I will concede if you know better), that the spelling I used was the correct one to use, due to the evidence I had at the time, particularly when it had come from official club publications (in the same way the programmes and the like, always spelt OTJ's middle name "Tudur" when many people on here and in the press at times, incorrectly spelt it "Tudor").
  7. Every news article I've ever read, whether it be online, in a newspaper or even in the ICT programme and team lines have spelt it McKay. Even the back of his shirt has it that way. Now had I spelt it MacKay, you would have a point and before you point to his Twitter page, he's written his whole name in small caps....unless that's the right presentation as well!
  8. Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Michael Faraday, Paul MacCready, Leonardo Da Vinci, Erin Brokovich, George Washington, Nelson Rockefeller, Walt Disney, Steven Speilberg and Richard Branson...to name just a few who might disprove your theory. Alexander Graham Bell was actually a total fraud but never mind. Just because someone has spelt something wrong, doesn't necessarily mean they are stupid and could very well be very professional indeed, but writing something and failing to spot two glorious mistakes either through error or a lack of reading over, can make you look that way.
  9. Nice to hear Butcher saying in his latest interview that the goal next season is to attack, score goals and entertain. Also, he seems to hint at playing Doran in the Andrew Shinnie role, which was speculated before, when he was given the number 10 jersey. I'm sure I read the other week as well, that Butcher reckons McKay and Curtis Allen could develop into a good partnership next season. Does that then suggest that there'll be a slight tactical shift with two up front becoming more common? A 4-4-2 diamond perhaps?
  10. Interesting comments coming from two of the new signings - "The most interesting thing is the style of football he wants to play, which I didn't expect at all." - Ben Greenhalgh “Terry and Steve both spoke to me and I really liked the way they want to play football and move the club forward." - James Vincent I hope it's not long ball they're talking about! Sounds promising though and we've always been a better team when we've played an attacking style, keeping the ball on the deck and out towards the wings. Hopefully seeing more of that next season as opposed to that hit and hope rubbish we were served up the season the headless chickens Tansey and Tade were with us and will mean that next season is again, a good one.
  11. I wonder who the main penalty taker will be next season. Preferably Foran for me despite his miss against Stenhousemuir. I've always been (including in the times he's scored) a little unconvinced by McKay's penalty technique, while Graeme Shinnie also missed one against against Kilmarnock last season, yet did score in the League Cup shoot-out and at Ibrox. Could of course turn out though that this Curtis Allen fellow can hit them, or Greenhalgh if his alleged set-piece ability is as good as has been reported and continues to the penalty spot.
  12. Makes you look unintelligent and unprofessional.
  13. This thread is great. Will read again.
  14. I think I'm right in saying that Reguero actually came from a club in the Thai Premier League. He was only there for a short time though.
  15. Maybe because we've had months to replace Reguero and only after a long saga, sign a guy on loan from a mediocre Conference side which he can't get even get a game for and apparently isn't exactly fantastic when he does?
  16. No, but I'm not a representative of ICT, yet even on here I take my time to read over my posts and make adjustments accordingly. Obviously one or two slip through the cracks, but you'd think it'd be hard to miss two glorious errors like that! I believe he was a player prior to the programme. Think he was at Welling or somewhere and then went back there after being released by Inter.
  17. You'd think as a new representative of ICT, he'd have made sure that the writing on his main port of call was spelt correctly. I know most footballers aren't the sharpest tools in the toolshed and he isn't the only one to display an incapability of spelling rather basic words, but spelling two pretty easy words wrong doesn't exactly portray him in a great light!
  18. I was reading the Elgin fan site the other day, and someone was saying on there that their keeper Joe Malin (formerly of County), turned down a new deal from them and from Partick, to sign for Brora because of the money on offer.
  19. I see while Sutherland hasn't actually signed for Brora yet, Gavin Morrison has. I know he didn't get much of a chance here, but surely he could get a Division 1/upper Division 2 team? Money talks though I suppose.
  20. Ben Greenhalgh @BenGreenhalgh Proffessional footballer for Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC, 'who knows what the furure may bring I hope he's a better player than he is speller!
  21. Shane Sutherland has signed for Brora.
  22. And mine. I just find it rather worrying that an obviously rushed signing is so poorly thought of by his own club's fans.
  23. I have to agree with the above poster. I don't want to trash the guy just yet, and we have in the past signed players who were regarded as duds only for them to come good with us - Darren Dods for example. Some of the comments from the Luton and his other clubs fans though are awfully worrying and to wait this long for a keeper to replace Reguero and then having to loan in a keeper who can't even get a game at Conference level and apparently fails to impress when he does get a chance, is awfully underwhelming. I know Marsella is good at the scouting, but I hope we haven't dropped a clanger with this one.
  24. Had a look on the Luton forum to see what they had to say. What a dull lot. The usual rubbish about how horrid the SPL is and upon arrival I was warned that it was a site for over 18s only! While I'm surprised that we've signed a guy on loan from lowly Luton, I wonder if our initial keeper targets (Robbie Thomson being the main target) in the end fell through and we've had to rush to get someone in. In saying that, I can't blame the guy for trying to get out of Luton. It's a truly horrible town! EDIT - Had a look there at what other Luton fans make of him. I hope he's better than they are saying...
