While you might be right for some of the newer and younger players, some of the others seem to be assigned numbers already that would make sense as to where they play - Meekings is now 6 for example. I believe the number 2 is Jay Cheyne.

If that is so, then maybe that would suggest Butcher is going to re-mould him as a more central player. Might explain my he's signed so many wingers this close season as well. Going by the video, Hooman is 18 and McKay is still 7.

Perhaps Curtis Allen will take 10 then. If Greenhalgh's 17, I wonder what that makes Doran then?

Going by the photo that ICT put up on Facebook, there's a few numbering changes for this coming season. Pepper seems to have changed from number 22 to 21 this season for some reason, while Polworth has gone from 21 to 20, while Cooper is now 22. Danny Williams is 19, Meekings is now number 6, Devine is 14 and who I think is Watkins is 15. Draper, Ross, Foran and presumably Esson are unchanged. You can't see from the photo, but I presume Vincent will take the number 10 and Hoolan will take 4. Nothing yet for Greenhalgh and the rest, but presuming number 12 will be the new keeper, I wonder if we'll have a number 13 this year. Always think it's a bit silly that we don't!

As good as Marsella is, going by reports in South America, the aforementioned Andre Martins is and continues to be a conman, sending videos of "himself" to clubs around the world. The problem is the videos aren't of him!

I wonder what the chances are of Tade and/or his agent having conned Cluj in some way, as he did before with the non-existant Ivory Coast "caps". In all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me at all if it transpires that he has!

From what I remember, Phil McGuire was alright when he first came and as soon as we offered him a full-time deal proceeded to be absolutely rubbish from then on! Andre Blackman could have been oh so different. Had a great game in his debut against Aberdeen and has/had the potential to be a great player. Shame his head isn't screwed on properly. On the whole, the majority have been mediocre or have barely played at all. Nauris Bulvitus, Alex MacDonald, Kevin McCann, Jordan Gibbons, Sam Winnall, all hardly set the heather alight, while Steve Williams was alright.

I'd like to think that after last seasons success, we can stop aiming to just stay up and look to retain a top six finish from now on. With Hearts in disarray, I think the drop is extremely unlikely and just hoping to stay up is setting the bar for success awfully low. We've retained the majority of our squad from last season and hopefully have added to it and replaced those that left. Motherwell have lost far more and who were of a better quality of their key players than we have, as have Ross County (who I think'll have a tougher season this time around), while Hibs and Partick don't look particularly fantastic. Of course, right now I'd take a sixth place finish, but it would be nice now to look higher and aim for that, than looking down to just stay off the bottom.

That Jay_7 doesn't post on here much anymore. He actually had some valid points from time to time as well, he just seemed awfully angry.

Unless I am missing something Cluj aren't in the Champions League. They finished 9th last season. Indeed they did, I read somewhere else that they were and couldn't be bothered checking. Could be in it the season after mind. Edit - I've just had a brain wave actually; Maybe he's still saying to Cluj that he got capped by Ivory Coast. They're going to get a surprise or two when they find out he's trash!
