  1. In no way at all am I trying to undermine the management. I like Butcher and want him to stay, but I can't help but feel that he won't be sticking around for long, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the rumours about him wanting to go to Falkirk are true, or anywhere else for that matter. After all, how many Scottish Division One sides have an ex World Cup England captain as manager or someone of that calibre? None He knew we might relegate before he took the job and signed the contract. I see no reason why he should go, and I hope he and MM are both here at the end of the season. Contracts mean pretty much nowt these days.
  2. Thanks for that. I'll keep that in mind from now on. :018:
  3. Following on from the other thread, and with ICT needing a new centre-hald, here's a name to throw in. George Suri from Auckland City. He's a Solomon Islands internationalist and looks pretty hefty. http://www.aucklandcityfc.com/profiles/george_suri.html Or on the striker front, 21 year old Fijian striker Roy Krishna. Plays in New Zealand for Waitikere United, but is having a trial with Wellington and was also being looked at by PSV Eindhoven. Edit - Looking up about this Roy Krishna and they seem to think he's one of the best players in the OFC. Here's a video, he scores the first goal.
  4. Surely it's about time some form of ICT side played Inverness City (if they still exist by that time of course).
  5. I've actually seen documentarys on these places and from what I could see the vast majority of the male population were built like barn doors.
  6. I didn't say stop supporting them, I just think twice about spending a good bit of money for an hour and half every couple of weeks of sitting in the cold, watching Grant Munro hopeless punt the ball at every given opportunity.
  7. We used to when were in the Oceana Confederation, we beat on of the islands 32-0. Thank God we are in the Asian Confederation now. That was American Samoa I think I (a game in which Archie Thompson scored 13 goals, a world record, and was then dropped for the next game!). Strangely though the American Samoa keeper had quite a good game.
  8. I am not totally sure if you are serious here! So for one you base all pacific islanders on the figian and samoan rugby teams? And an 'untapped market' of rugby players to be used as footballers?? Does that even make sense in your own head? Isn't the most important thing in being a footballer that you can play football not just be big! I have noticed that a lot of basketball players are really tall and would therefore be great in the air both in defence and attack. We should sign a lot of random tall people as well to take advatage of this untapped market, I cant believe how nobody has signed up the players who dont make it in the NBA yet. If only managers across the world had the brain of renegade! Please show me where I said that ICT should sign rugby players to be used as footballers. I said that if anyone has seen the rugby teams (or anything else about these places for that matter) you'll see the size of these guys. The perfect size for a Bobby Mann style centre-half.
  9. Mark McGhee

  11. Possibly could be. ICT's stay in the 1st Division could be shorter than anyone expected.
  12. Thanks for that. Please continue.
  13. Bit odd that ICT try to resign Proctor, yet sign Cox who mostly plays as a right back.
  14. Yeah I know, but Caleymad said the second English player, who are both midfielders apparently (though Cox can play as a defender as well).
  15. I'd have him as a utility player. I don't know what you find so hilarious about that quote anyway. I posted it ages ago, and he's played in the midfield a few times in the last few seasons (Hearts away being the last time).
  16. If and when Butcher goes, chances are Maurice Malpas could well get the ICT managers job. How would you feel about that appointment? I presonally would be horrified. He failed at Motherwell, sacked by Swindon and would just be Craig Brewster MK 2. How would you feel about it?
  17. Your intelligent input never fails to amaze me.
  18. And what about these then - Solid at right-back against Hinckley this time last year When fully fit I've always quite rated the lad. He'll tackle anyone, his marking is usually sound, he passes the ball simply and has always looked a good un when we've needed him as in the Academy play-off final. I just felt he lacked a bit of pace and invention. Inverness offers him an opportunity. Better at right back but seems to have played more in midfield.
  19. It'll probably also depend a lot on what sort of footyball is being played at the time. If ICT go back to keeping it on the deck and have a nice slinky style like they used to have then that will probably dictate the crowd numbers. In fact if it were me, and I was in a position to buy a season ticket and ICT tactics were punt, punt, punt, then I'd think twice about getting one.
  20. They should ditch that hideous shirt first.
  21. Why do you say that? ICT need a keeper - Higuita. ICT need a goalscorer - Higuita's your man.
  22. Oh well that's me told. I better never go in a newsagents or even outside again cause I might die!
  23. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=60655 Here the Foxes forum thread on him. Most seem to think he's quite good.
  24. If there's any risk to people's health, they'll probably just play games behind closed doors like they did Mexico.
