Kyle Allison just told me that he was released today.

County in 2010 are a much bigger, wealthier, more established team than ICT were in 2000. We had just come up from Division 2 with a team and manager largely from the Highland League, rather thanthe SPL origins that form the base of County these days. County have been battling for promotion, ICT back then were happy to be steering clear of relegation. Perhaps the question has been answered by the media coverage. County's win is the backpage headline today, whereas ours was the front page, everywhere. I note that on the BBC news last night, yesterday's result wasn't even the main sports story. Celtic losing, and losing to lower league teams is par for the course these days, and a first division team reaching the cup final isn't a novelty any more after Gretna and Queens managed it in very recent years. County raised eyebrows across the land, but there are no shock waves. I agree. Sorry when I said smaller I was meaning about fan base, town, etc. Stevie Paterson said in The Sun yesterday that our result is better but like I said in my original post, both were fantastic achievements in their own right and I don't think it really matters which was the best...until the next arguement between both our sets of fans starts. :025:

Our stadium is suitable for European matches i am pretty sure. That is why the goals at both end are right up against the barriers these days as the pitch was extended a few years back so that it was suitable for European competition. Not sure about the seating though.

I would say ours due to it being at Hampden on a bigger stage and of slightly more importance. Also we are a smaller team than you but both games were tremendous results in their own right and a credit to the highlands.

You or Inverurie won't make it to the 5th round anyway. :P

What was said this time? My mate seems to be getting alot of abuse for this and it's something that he was not really the culprit of, that's all im saying.

I know him and he is a lifelong county fan. So what - no need for personal abuse when he is a young lad trying to make a career out of football, whoever he plays for or supports.

Stratford was on trial with us about a month ago but was deemed not good enough?? Seems to have had a decent background though.

We have been averaging about 2200-2300 the last few seasons but despite us having better crowds when we were both in the same division you will probably have more than us this season since you have been getting 3500-4000 (?) in the SPL.

We have offered him a trial next week according to a couple of our supporters.

We let Daal,Stachan,Gunn go. While McCulloch retired and Dowie (Dunfermline), Corrigan (Partick) Higgins and Hart (Dundee) were signed on pre-contracts. Also Soutar looks to be going and Stewart is transfer listed. We have signed Di Giacomo, Miller, Vigurs and Wood so thats 8-10 out with 4 coming in. Just thought I would clear it up as a couple wondered where we got the money from.
