  1. I agree with the positive noise, it was as good as it has been, fantastic effort, but the personal abuse was out of order.

That will be the Immortal Howdenender.
  3. I have merged these topics as original post deviated onto Kyle Allisson abuse. Please use the matchday thread to discuss the contents of the game, and this thread for the abusive content. Sorry, but I fail to see how anyone in their right mind can condone this sort of behaviour, or does anarchy still rule in Inverness. Pathetic.
  4. I struggled to comprehend what it was about. The extremely foul mouthed attack was aimed at Allison and not bayne. Guys that was pretty pathetic. Overuse of the c swear is out of order in my book. It's not clever, it's not smart and it's not for ICT if you don't mind. To call one of our own playes A f'in c'in Dingwall gypsy b'rd is not acceptable. Grow up or stay at home.
  5. Aye well spotted ajsict, most of the usual suspects can be identified on that picture. I thought we started the better team and Dunfermline looked a poor team. But as we wasted good possession Dunfermline clawed their way back into it before half time. Rooney can't get any quicker, he always looks laboured and slow to react in the box. In his favour, he battled away as a lone target man not always getting the support he needed and won a few knock on headers, but without support it was futile. My view on Eagle is that he performed OK, not always beating his man but he worked hard enough. Lionel had our closest attempt as he raced down the left and as the Pars defence retreated he smashed a low shot across the keeper which glanced off the base of the post. Cox had a quiet first half by his standards but plugged away and scored a goal at the death reminiscent of Keogh at Clyde, as he first timed a shot past the diving keeper. Neither keeper had too many direct saves to make although both had their palms stung by fierce long range efforts, ours coming from Imrie. The cumbersome Rooney missed the best opportunity for us when in pole position he screwed his shot wide from ten yards with only the keeper to beat. Grantie held firm at the other end when he blocked an attempt from six yards as the striker pulled the trigger and looked as though he would score, thats when the Dunfy lad jumped up to celebrate. Rooney again turned as quick as the QE2 and another chance went abegging. Dunfermline started the second half further upfield and the pressure was now mounting on the ICT rearguard, although most of their efforts were from long range. Kirk had a shot smack the top of the post with Esson stranded as Pars took a stronger grip of the game and tghey looked the more likely to score. into the last fifteen and we started to come out of our shell and the game took on a new end to end look. Sanchez waltzed past some defenders and had his shot deflected wide when he looked set to open the scoring and Dunfermline had a couple more anxious moments in our box before Coxy popped up and lashed home the winner. It looked like a scene from the world cup finals as our fans went delirious and tumbled about in the stand. MoM for us I thought Grantie stood firm today ably assisted by Bulvitis and Proctor. Lionel showboated his way through the first half but took a couple of knocks in the second half. Imrie was anonymous that strike on target apart, never noticed him until he got replaced. Stratford much the same. Sanchez looks to avoid the 50/50 challenges but is a tricky customer and could easily have scored before Cox did but for desperate Pars defending, and he manufactures it himself. Graham looked threatening for Pars and Bayne and Kirk linked up well.
  6. It's not full of boring old farts...............I'm not on it, and less of the old Brosno. Although I am taking my car now. Quite a few heading over from Edinburgh, Crusher, Zogg and Paris will be looking for a train out as well.
  7. Impeccable timing with the season about to start, give everyone something to help muddy the waters. Is this the start of downsizing for the long haul?
  8. Just got a little bit better last night. An excellent win for Celtic away to Dinamo Moscow. It does hurt to say that, but nonetheless it was a good albeit unexpected result.

Not sure where you get the Rangers bit from. I dislike Celtic more, does that help. But as long as you don;t recommend your own barber then thats fine. No it won't make me feel any better, but it lets those that want to post something helpful on here get on with it without the distraction of personal feuds in the way. I agree about some of the words being difficult to make out, but that may well be down to the sound system, and or the speed at which they are delivered.
  10. As noted in the player of the year poll, it has not gone unnoticed that Lee Cox is quickly endearing himself to the ICT fans. I thought some of his forward passing was first class, spraying balls wide to Imrie and Tokely on more than just a few occasions. He is very determined in the tackle, a born ball winner and will make Ian Black seem like a pansy and just a distant memory. My only reserved judgement of him was he might have taken a dig or two from the edge of the box, but elected to try and play someone in. Still, top player for us this season and player of the year award beckons. Rossco must have run him very close for MoM as well. He looked rejuvenated with his thrusting runs and wing wizardy and showboating going down a treat. He seemed to be enjoying every minute of it as well, grinning from ear to ear as he waltzed past the entire Annan defence (well it seemed like it) and backheeled the ball round the inrushing player, real Roy of the Rovers stuff.........or Alf Tupper if you like your bread buttered that way. Imrie was good also, but the final ball selection sometimes ruined his creative play. He is getting good at hitting the byeline and cutting back for the midfielders to have a crack, and he took one volley early almost catching the keeper out with that one as it looped a couple of yards wide. Bright start by Imrie but he along with the rest of the team went quiet before half time. Dougie was the inspiration in our first half display against United recently and as we altered the flow of the game with mass substitutions we lost our attacking outlet and the game once he had departed the scene. Couple of good assists and a goal can't be bad though. He was booked for a rash challenge as well which was a bit needless and could have been costly had he lunged in more forcefully in the second half, he did however survive.

Is that a rather large chip I see on your shoulder yaboy. If you have nothing constructive to say then you won't mind if you get banned from posting on the subject?
  12. Pretty sure it was Sanchez. Very comfortable win for ICT. Started brightly but twittered around in front of goal. Not sure what enabled Rooney to score. He headed weakly downward and we all assumed the keeper would block the ball, but it ended up in the net. Eagle scored with a free header after Imrie laid it on a plate. Imrie thumped home from two yards after a decent move down the left wing. Sanchez scored with a cool finish, prodding the ball past the keeper with the outside of the foot. Annans only attempt was just before half time when the aforementioned player collided with the keeper. He won the ball and knocked it a couple of feet over the bar but the keepers momentum carried him into the player and he was stretchered off, but later announced he was ok to travel home after the game. Annan to be honest were not at the races and we should have punished them more severely, however 4-0 is better than last week. Rossco was good today, involved in most moves, Lionel got the biggest cheer when he backheeled the ball over his own head after a hasty pass went speeding past him at the touchline. Man of the match for me was Cox, he is as solid as they come and has a real determined look on his face when he goes in for the kill. He certainly won't be shirking any challenges. Butcher was noisy all game screaming instructions at his players. All in all, easy peasy lemon squeezy.
  13. What do you want us to say georgeios? Around a dozen people have proffered their summation of the game, most positive, one or two not so easily pleased, however, the general concensus of opinion seems to be that the new guys are decent enough.
  14. Bulvitus looks a good player, won plenty in the air and used the ball well when clearing. Imrie was roasting their full backs in the first half and Sandshoes took his goal well. Top marks for Rossco, Grantie, Imrie, Sandshoes Cox and Bulvitus. Hastings and Roy added nothing to our game although Sutherland turned them a couple of times. Their first goal was well offside when the guy was played through and the linesman took a roasting from the home fans. Cadamarteri's goal a good turn and shot in the box. Their second was a free header with two defenders looking on. Imrie skinned the full back and cut back for Sandshoes to strike wsweetly. Decent first half from us and the changes helped them more. A rare occurance tonight, straight out of the car park in less than a minute, due to the fact that there were no stewards on display in the car park. Brilliant.

Thanks for the info Kalneitus. Good to see Pavels playing and scoring again. He was well liked by the fans here and most were of the opinion he would have been a solid performer for ICT. Unfortunately the worst SPL team did not get relegated last season and he returned to Latvia. Your English is better than my Latvian...................in fact the only Latvian words I know are Pavels McMagics and Latvia. Keep in touch.

  17. You need to do your homework Charlie boy, we are playing Dundee United on Tuesday at 7:45pm in Inverness.
  18. Cox would appear to be a decent signing. Maybe he will take a lead role in the midfield.
  19. Unlike last season, I would have thought that the worst team would be relegated, therefore making it a fight between Hamilton, Falkirk and St Mirren, with Saints the clear winners...............or losers if you like your bread buttered that way.

For the thread to be accurate in it's quest, the topic is the best ever goal you have seen at the ICT stadium. That would rule out Imrie's goal at Tynecastle, mind you, it was a screamer. Dargo at Gers is also a good answer, but it's not the right one. Hissy, Golly and Wilsons at Well, not correct. Bannerman, shame on you, read properly, most of yours are out of order. Blackies goal at Ibrox, whilst very pleasing, not scored at home either. Any goal we score is a great goal..........apart from an own goal.
  22. Aye, brilliant topic.................class act Bobby.

Keigan Parkers scorcher for Perth the day we won promotion was a belter. Dipping thirty five yarder on the run flashing past the despairing dive of the keeper. Stunning goal that stunned the fans for a few minutes.
