  1. To be honest there probably were lots of people there just **** bent on causing mayhem. Was there not National Front guys linked with disrupting Rangers games before. Nothing to do with supporting Rangers, just going with the crowd and starting violence on the streets. The scenes are disgraceful, but it is wrong to tar them all with the same brush. This will have repercussions throughout the game with other clubs being reluctant to let their fans loose on a bender.
  2. or paper money, it is lighter to carry :023: might see you guys on Saturday morning. :walking02:

In the stark light of day, I will re-jig my three players to read Jimmy Calder Bobby Mann Charlie Christie It's a tough one as a lot of players have meant a lot to this club and are also deserving of a place in the team. Guys like Golly, Stewart, Ritchie, Teasdale, Hercher, Bingham, Juanjo, Broonie, Rossco........................the list is endless, almost.
  10. I had the pleasure of attending the sponsors evening with my son Zogg, on behalf of Canada Bob & Reefinweedallday and the betting forum guys who sponsored Russell Duncan this season. A good night was had by all and the players and managers turned up after their golf outing. Apparently Andy McNulty is a bit of a shark, Russell was second. Anyway, TM4TJ caught up with.............sorry official site, I couldnae resist it :015: I took the opportunity to put Russell under the spotlight and asked him a few questions, the sort of stuff we all really wanted to know, so here it is, Russell Duncan.......The Truth:- How young are you-------------------------------------------------------27 Best goal this season----------------------------------------------------against Aberdeen Best game he had this season-----------------------------------------4-2 home win against Falkirk Best moment this season------------------------------------------------Baynes winner at Tynecastle in the 2-3 victory Worst moment this season----------------------------------------------sent off against Aberdeen Best footballer he has ever played with------------------------------Eoin Jess Aberdeen Best footballer he has ever played against--------------------------Craig Bellamy, blistering pace. The players carefully shunned Alex kiss of death Macleod. He has sponsored Liam Fox, Richie Hart and Dean Macdonald in the past three seasons, and it would appear that they all want to avoid the short straw. Best move of the night was Alex's Missus who strategically broke the photographers cable and had to endure the company of an old grey haired man for fifteen minutes, no not Alex, only her dream date Mr Brewster :love08: Anyway, thanks for havin me. :021:
  11. rosscoe23, get off redees back, she is entitled to post, as indeed you are. We all had to start somewhere. Practically every time she posts you, and one or two others, are making these same comments, give it a rest. Encourage rather than abuse, all it will do is drive people off the boards. :018:

  13. I have always like Denzil's style of play but this season he has shown little to encourage the management team to retain him. Unfortunately, there comes a time when we will have to break the mould big style. This pre-season looks like being the time when the stalwarts may well find themselves having to re-apply for their jobs. Basically, if they are not good enough or capable of taking this club forward, then we have to look elsewhere for players who can do the job. The present squad can not keep playing together for infinity, however much it hurts, some of our favourites will be moving on. Denzil looks like being one of these and all the best to him if he goes, he has not done anything wrong playing for ICT, but times change and new blood is needed to keep us alive. If we stay with the players we have always had then we rise as far as they can take us, go stagnant, then go into decline, thats not what we want and I'm sure the players involved are big enough to realise this.
  14. it's definitely definitely :008:
  15. Missed Roy out for praise in my earlier post, but in the second half he made lots of runs down the left flank and tried pretty hard, but no takers from his endeavour. Other than that, smileys are fairly accurate. I must have missed Mike slicing his kicks. Thought he handled everything well, and clutched a dangerous cross under pressure with applomb. Higdon was menacing and gave our centre backs a torrid time, lets hope Rory learns something from that, he really needs to put himself about a bit more. Aye, Latapy has that effect on us, I murmered something like........christ, thats all we need now! He still has the control and knack of creating something out of nothing. Just remembered, was there a sponsored silence in the away crowd yesterday...............spookily sombre mood yesterday, only broken by the occasional expletive directed at Rory.................mostly from myself :hiding03:
  16. yes, just a three wood away.
  17. Clach Caley and County were the benefactors from the demise of Clachs title winning team of 74. Thistle second choice and Caley a distant and hated third.
  18. Uninspiring stuff. We were poor, and Falkirk were eager and quicker on the break and with the Jambo's being pumped by Killie their mission was accomplished. Barry could have opened the scoring early on but after chasing a ball down the inside right channel he went too far and his attempted chip into the goals from a more acute angle than he would have liked sailed harmlessly high and wide. Grim stuff from us as an attacking force with Rory being the main culprit. I reckon he seems to be scared when challenging defenders as he misses so many balls aimed in his direction and ultimately loses out in any challenge despite some nice touches. Defence looked all at sea yesterday with Granty missing again and Proctors indecision almost cost us dear. Imrie struggled to make headway early on but improved as the game progressed. Cowie was another I thought who lacked an edge and Black was very quiet. Fraser did welland was not to blame for either goal, the second being lashed past him after Roy tangled with his own player in the left half area, and when Falkirk broke forward from there, Finnegan lashed a great shot high into the net from fifteen yards past an exposed Mike. Best that can be said about the game was Bazza becoming the second top ICT scorer on his own after calmly converting a penalty he himself won in the last couple of minutes, cutting along the byeline and being felled as he moved into the box. Hastings posted missing most of the game, leaving the right wing area open to abuse. Marius had some good touches, but playing deeper than Rory would have given him little enthusiasm and nowhere to play the ball to and expect a return pass. He tried a couple of shots which were either blocked or screwed wide, but really not a good day for him overall. I thought Russell looked keen when he came on but the game was lost by then and it was the usual too little too late. Brew was in his suit all day, no intention of playing at all. Some of the guys on the park might have well played with their suits on as well. But lets not be too critical, it was what they call end of season stuff. Best for us on the day..........Fraser, Imrie eventually and Bazza who looks like he is winning the battle to sign a new contract, if ability is anything to go by.

:015: Always a good reason Tuggers. Celtic deffo, just to annoy a few folk. Always disliked Aberdeen though. Added Aberdeen as their name is cropping up a bit too often.
  20. you're winding me up :017:
  21. Scaremongerer, I doubt we will take as many games to get a point on the board either.
  22. Al the best peeps Great map CaleyD

Good points well made Gav. Tom Caley Jag would do well to ponder over some of this and maybe take a different view of Brew. He may well fail, but until then he deserves a bit of backing as do the whole team, not just continual strife from the word go. Fans expectations have outgrown the stark realities here. Too much top class football on tv every week clouding the judgements of the ordinary fan making it difficult to see where his/her team fits in. Don't forget that Brew started the season a few games in with no points on the board. He then became an instant hero with the last gasp stunner against Hearts, went on to beat Celtic, ran Rangers very close, became manager of the month, then went into reverse. Time for us all to get on his and the teams backs. It maybe is good for us to get it off our hairy chests, but it justs makes a difficult situation worse. All the talk about thank God for Gretna rubbish. Thats not our fault, what about Killie, and St Mirren........Hearts and Falkirk not too far away either. I honestly believe but for the poor start to the season we would have been in the top six comfortably. We are not much different to Aberdeen, Motherwell, Hibs or United, teams we can get the better of, even Aberdeen, maybe next year. We gave them all seven games of a start and they still could not relegate us. I have swung a bit on the Brew management issues, and think next season, with some new blood we could be challenging for top six competitively.
