    Big Bobby Mann

At last some positive news, bring back Bobby, he knows how to organise a defence.
  4. Portsmouth Unfortunately, I was born near Pompey, Gosport in fact, and as a young loon visited relations in Portsmouth a few times. But I am better now, I was only there for a few weeks before being smuggled North to Grantown. My Highland league team was Clach, bottom of the league just about, but rose to Champions in 74. The Charlie Kennedy Ray Mackintosh era brought a plethora of goals and in the Scottish cup thereabouts the great South hopes Gala Fairydean came North boasting that the Highlanders would be subdued, not so, Clach humped them something like seven or eight one. Barcelona appeal to me as well, mainly for their style of play and great players they have had over the years. Grantown United, few lads from the pub formed them, we lost more than we won.....well we lost them all, but it was fun :029:
  5. I didn't think there was too much in the first tackle. It's a game for big boys. Not look too bad on tv.
  6. I have paid another ?100 to have my name removed from the new away shirt. I don't want to be assosciated with a team that performs so poorly and wilts at the sight of the old firm.
  7. comment 2 2. watch rory going for a high ball he never looks at the ball but instead watches the defenders position then trys to pick up the scraps, just watch next time you see him play or once again watch the replay Spot on cccccccc He never watches the ball, and pretends to jump late making out the defender was too good, not good enough I'm afraid.
  8. The criticism of the team yesterday is fully justified, they were a disgrace. It was clear from the start that the TV pundits got it spot on, we were going to punt the ball at every opportunity and that is exactly what we did. Using Wyness as a target man is no use, he simply is not that kind of player, he needs the ball played to him below neck height then he will do the rest. Playing Rory as the other target man :rotflmao: Well he does not even look at the ball when it comes near him, he is too busy looking at the defender and his attempts to get off the ground are a joke. In fact playing Rory at all was the wrong thing to do. No holding midfielder, where was Duncan misplaced passes and all. The invisible man was, well, invisible. Bazza might as well have been invisible he was certainly not influential. The defence were all at sea, noticeable from the start. Where is our big stopper?? Fraser was the only one to get passmarks from me. Not really the game we wanted to start the season wit, playing one of the old firm means no points for most teams, so lets hope we regroup for the lesser teams, for thats where our season will be one won or lost, against the St Mirrens Motherwells and Gretna's.

    Club Nickname

How about We played for 90 minutes and hrdly had an attempt at goal.
  10. Setanta viewing for me today. It's all been said before, no need or me to stick the knife in further, but yes Rory did not earn his wages today.
  11. Hey Mantis, they say these balls could take the hair clean of the top of your head. :029: Infamously, Kilmarnock beat Hearts 0-2 at Tynecastle in 64-65 to win the league on goal average the year before Celtic went on their nine in a row jolly. Killie had to win something like 0-2, 1-4, 2-6 or 3-8 any other scores wer no use to them, but hey, they won 0-2 and broke a lot of Hearts.
  12. Naelifts Not sure yet, but the nearest to my sons flat is the Quay Sports Bar on Commercial Street Leith area. Clacher posted on another thread he may watch some of the game in the The Three Sisters which is 139 Cowgate
  13. I know it's slightly off topic, but I won't be going but I will be watcing from a bar somewhere in Edinburgh Richard, there may be a young lady sitting beside you for this game :angel13:
  14. Talking of injured players, I hear that Novo is struggling to make the game on Saturday. from the Record Oh dear how sad never mind hahaha
  15. Remember watching him play for Elgin many moons ago, when the buffalo roamed the plains. He was a great old fashioned striker, always the one to look out for if you needed a goal. Sad to see some of the stalwarts of bygone days departing.
  16. Not sure where we will be watching, the nearest Sports bar is the Quay Sports Bar on Commercial St Leith, thats one we have used before when down in Embra. Watched Scotland beat France in that one, my boy, (crusher) stays on Constitution street, about four hundred yards away.
  17. How did you know it was him?

  22. Zogg was at the Brondby Chelsea game tonight in Copenhagen. 0- 2 for Chelski. We forged some great links with some supporters when we did the pre-season trip to Denmark and this has been reciprocated this week when Zogg has met the brondby Boys, Iver and Jacob for tonights game. They have been very helpful towards Zogg and his friend Kieran the Caley Jaggie and this is much appreciated. It is great to know that football fans across the globe can be united and work together despite the differences. We are now an International team and are forgeing relationships on all fronts, our fans are breaking new grounds and it is a pleasure to be an ICT supporter. Thanx Iver & Jacob Alex Mee, Jim and us Zoggites remember the great day we had at Farum and the not so great hangover we had in Copenhagen the next day...........ha ha..............Zogg especially, but allegedly, he has met the man he was...ahem, unwell on in the same bar.....Kelly's.............how wierd is that........either Zogg has been frequenting Kelly's more than we thought or the guy in the bar likes being under the unwellness every weekend. Anyway, Mee Alex Jim and mine, I still have the contacts if you are wishing to converse. denmark + 046.jpg_thumb

  24. They might well finish with less than 10 men yet, both their goals were absolute defending disasters. They have been scything down the opposition at every opportunity. Put big shinguards on for Sunday game.
