Lot of fuss about nothing. The Edinburgh clubs, our national capital, have both been knocked out and the history books will show that Inverness are in the next round. When did we get this big club mentality..........we should have hammered them............... We are poor at being favourites. Arbroath gave us a fright, enough said. Positives fom last night already mentioned by those at the game, nothing new in the negatives either. Barrowmans red card is disappointing and the performances of Cowie and Imrie will need to be worked on. Some of last nights changes were forced on us, with Proctor, Duncan and Munro injured. Jimmi Jabbi will need to be careful. Black is one of the few constants we have had so far this season and simply oozes class. Vigurs is the one to make an impact again, and Duff seems to have impressed also. Esson given a start, as was Zibi last season in this competition. The only real alteration that the manager should have made was splitting the young strikers with either Rooney or Barrowmanoff. The bottom line is we are in the next round. It's only the league cup, a competition that a lot of clubs can do without.

The home team were the first to threaten with former Elgin City loanster Zander Sutherland scampering down the wing and producing a fine cross which was met by Shane Sutherland, but his header from eight yards flew over the bar. Wick's first shot on came in the 19th minute, Gary Farquhar striking a Craig Shearer lay off towards goal but it never troubled the young Caley Jags keeper. However it was Inverness side that were looking the likelier to score. Shaun Carrol shot wide from a Shane Sutherland lay off then Dale Gillespie fired a 25 yard range finder straight at Don Macmillan. The opener came in the 36th minute, and it was a cracking strike from one of the North's top young talents. Midfielder Dale Gillespie let fly from all of 30 yards and the ball zipped past keeper Don Macmillan to the keeper's right. Wick responded positively and two minutes later Richard Macadie cut in from the left and fired a 20 yard effort at goal, but Kyle Allison made a comfortable save. At the other end Don Macmillan had to look lively to deny Shaun Carrol, diving to his right to make the save. The Under 19's face Highland League side Wick Academy on Tuesday 26th August at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in the semi-final of the North of Scotland Cup. The boys are the current holders on the Cup and beat Clach 3-0 in the first round followed up with a 1-0 win over Brora Rangers in last round courtesy of a Struan Scott-Woodhouse header. Nairn County or Rothes await the winners in the final. Admission prices have been confirmed as ?6 for adults and ?3 for concessions. more on the official site, but no Kick Off time shown???

He did indeed score another two on Saturday, the original post was dated before that game though kev. The first goal was a good one aparently Ayr striker Bryan Prunty beat three defenders and smashed a powerful drive past Myles Hogarth after nine minutes. Two minutes later Prunty again ran into the box and played a neat one-two before curling the ball beyond Hogarth.

The accounts reflect the increased investment in the first team squad and its support structure plus no extended cup runs last season with consequent loss of potential Sky TV income. During the period covered by the accounts, ?285,000 of new shares was issued thus reducing the effect of the loss. This Tokely chap must really be superman after all. He is expected to be everywhere at the same time, scoring goals at one end, putting crosses into the box and being in the right place whenever the opposition attack being able to block every shot on goal. His crosses were not great on Saturday, but he did work hard and but for a wicked deflection off of the unfortunate McGuire, Hibs would not have scored, in fact Nish looked suspiciously offside. But why don't we just blame Tokely for everything, it must all be his fault. My flabber has never been more gasted in reference to Rossco's ability.

It was a great reaction save, he was moving across goals and had to redirect himself and threw an arm out, unfortunately for us he managed to claw the ball away. We did start the game brightly and deservedly took the lead, good counter move and a great ball by Black to Cowie. Not too significant a deflection I thought as the ball went through the defender but a goal it was. Hibs came more into it and deservedly equalised, but for all their neat build up play and quick breaks they could not get the better of us. At least we made a draw out of it, this was the type of game last season we might just have lost instead of drawing, only four draws last season.

I agree, although I personaly did not boo him, others close by were quick to boo, fair game in this workplace I'm afraid.

Excuse me young men, but was section G not the self proclaimed singing section by the singers themselves. They all gathered round the top area of section G, often sitting in my seat, and normally made noise, banged a drum and created what little atmosphere there was. I don't believe that stewards will stop you from singing/chanting, provided the language is acceptable and you are not breaking any other ground regulations. It was deathly quiet on Saturday, and Alex did turn round a couple of times to enquire where the noise was, and this did prompt him to start his own noise. No harm done. Why has the noise stopped, is there a valid reason, or has apathy taken over. You don't have to make a noise if you don't want to, it's your prerogative, but you guys did create the 'section G' myth yourselves. Lets all make sum noyz next home game, and bring a friend who is willing to make sum noyz as well.

It would appear that the only thing that will fill the Dods shaped hole in the defence is Dods. Yes please, yes please. It's a big thumbs up from me.
