  1. Sounds like Graeme Shinnie alone has had more chances than the whole Killie team...
  2. 499 Dons fans there apparently. So 1,668 home fans. That's abysmal. How many fans did we have at Paisley ? Can never really judge these things, but maybe 100-odd?
  3. Don't think so. He probably did wait too late to change it but the team was so dominant for most of the second half that I can see why he stuck. Much better footballing performance than Saturday, and as a result I probably feel more gutted tonight than then, when I didn't think we deserved anything from the game. The biggest problem was the final ball - all of our attacker were guilty of not looking up or seeming too casual at the vital moment after a lot of good possession and build-up play. I liked the look of Devine at the back - very composed, with a nice touch. OTJ had an excellent second half and Doran worked well all night, but Andrew Shinnie looked a little off the boil compared to recent games.
  4. Will be interesting to hear from people at the game whether Draper coming on had much to do with our improvement in the second half. We had definitely started to come back into it by the time he came on, but we seem to have been really dangerous throughout the last half hour.
  5. What a signing McKay has turned out to be.
  6. Sounds like we've been excellent since equalising, but just haven't been able to finish. In fact, sounds like a great game now after a dreadful-sounding first half.
  7. Sounded well against the run of play, but yipee. Draper coming on - really hope he hasn't been put back in too soon.
  8. The signs were there in the second half against Killie and against Hearts that we'd lost the edge we'd shown in the previous few games, but we simply can't afford another first half like today's, where we failed to compete in any area. In the second half, we at least tried to get at them a bit more, but too many players were off form and it was inevitable that we'd leave gaps that Motherwell could exploit. Unfortunately, 1-5 was a pretty fair reflection of the game. Strong reaction next week, please.
  9. Too many touches from Shinnie there. He's had his least effective game for some time. Hell of a save just before that though.
  10. Very positive change. If we can keep pressing them enough there's still a chance. Doran has had a very good second half.
  11. Not a terribly exciting change, although Sutherland will at least try to take players on. Surprised Pepper has had so little game time even as a sub this season - he's looked dangerous every time I've seen him come on.
  12. Exactly what we needed at exactly the right time, and a very neat finish. Please God let us manage to impose ourselves on the game though - almost conceded one right away.
  13. It does look like that, and feck knows why. We could have been going to Celtic Park next within three points of Celtic, with them coming off a European away game and probably tired - that alone should be enough motivation for the players, surely.
  14. Yep. We need a much better outlet up front - someone who will run at them. Pepper rather than Roberts, I think. The biggest problem looks like the continued absence of Draper, though - we're being completely overrun in midfield, and every time they get the ball wide to Humphrey it looks like they will score again. Really hope Draper is back for next week, and that we can at least compete. A few more performances like today's so far and we may soon be talking about the length of our winless run rather than our unbeaten run.
  15. His movement in the first half hour looked decent, then he was moved onto his wrong side and disappeared thereafter. He was certainly no worse than just about any other player in another really poor Scotland performance.
  16. Don't want to criticise the team too much as they have been absolutely fantastic recently, but it's really frustrating to see them suddenly looking so dangerous again after Hearts score, after having apparently sat back for most of the previous hour. Hopefully we'll get a bit of a reaction to that next week - we owe Motherwell a doing.
  17. F*** off. Only got ourselves to blame if they score this, unfortunately.
  18. Nail hit head by Butcher there.
  19. Sutton coming on :( Our last-ditch defending has been excellent this half - has had to be - but he always seems to cause us problems.
  20. Good decision, I think. He's looked too casual trying to take the ball put of defence a few times in the second half. Shane will take the ball and run with it, which is what we need at the moment. Hearts look hungrier, which is a little strange as we could be going equal top today.
  21. Reminds me a bit of the second half last week - we lost control of the midfield and allowed Killie on to us. Hearts look a poorer footballing side than Killie did, but if they're allowed enough pressure they'll break through eventually. Hopefully Tel will sort it out at half time. Nice little bit of pressure right at the end there, mind you.
  22. Certainly stopped the rot a bit after losing four goals two games in a row, although it was really frustrating to hear of 'schoolboy defending' again, against an Aberdeen side which had only scored two goals this season before today. Sounded like ICT played better on the break, which could suit us away against Hibs provided we don't defend the way we did at Fir Park, and provided Doran, or whoever is in front of goal at the time, actually takes the chances when they are put on a plate for him.
