Imagine being as ***** as we are, yet still only 5 points away from the play-off with 11 games to go. Utterly bonkers league where everybody is embarrassingly poor.

BTW I'm not sure we can close that gap due to being utter ***** but based on our squad strength and depth it shouldn't have become impossible.

Oh my, not like fans to speculate.

    And get it wrong

Nobody would speculate if communication from the club was better.

However I speculate (maybe wrongly) its this way because those in charge are narcissistic and have nothing but contempt for the fans.

  3. Pre- Livi - 2/3

    Post Livi - 4

Genuinely think the cup draw could not have been much better for giving us a Hampden path - Not sure I'd expect to get further than a semi-final but hoping for a great day out regardless and that it send a positive feeling through the squad.

This league is crap, just look at the form. No team has won more than 2 from their last 5. If we could turn it round and be consistent by picking up just 2 or 3 wins over the remaining games more than those around us then I think play-offs are easily achieved, but its too late to take the title - that I expect will be Dundee. Play-off wise, we should be aiming for the final again however its very dependent on who we play there.

I'll caveat that we are just one Billy Mackay injury away from being mid-table

We may well be complaining if he isn’t awarded again this month ?!!

That would heavily depend on the next few games though as we've only a record showing 1 draw this month (although we are undefeated). Also as its a league award, the cup results don't count, so plenty work to do on that front.

  5. Why would the concert companies be discussed at the AGM, its legally separate trading companies and allegedly based on the information provided by those in charge at the club it has no direct impact or affect on the club itself. Its never been clear how this would benefit the club - so we'd have to assume if it was profitable they would be a sum 'donated/invested' to the club by the directors (after taking their cut) but as the club never directly ran the fiasco then there would be no need to discuss at all.

  6. Maintaining the 2015 SC team together was financially impossible. As with any club that is smaller & successful whether in Scotland, EPL, or Europe it gets asset stripped very quickly - if other clubs start offering your players double or triple salaries you can either overextend to keep them or they leave and you are back to recruiting within your own economic pond. Our situation was worse by the fact we let contracts expire due to the policy of short (1 or 2 year deals) to preserve our financial commitments & risks therefore rarely receiving and transfer fees.

We'd all have loved to see that squad stay together and see what it could have achieved going forwards but it was inevitable that would end. The combination of factors all aligning to bring forwards another crop like that and develop success has low probability - so many examples out there. It does not mean mistakes were not made and the club should be in a better position with recruitment, finances and player development.

  7. ^ thanks. Saves me writing that this wk as I've been saying the same all season. Next year if DUtd, Motherwell or County come down then it'll be everyone else fighting play-off places, really doubt there will be another season where all teams are as equally bad as each other like this and last where we've failed to capitalise. Best hope Killie come back down again.

This situation sadly sums the club up currently - comical! The job was purely created to keep Robbo in a role as we couldn't afford his pals didn't want to pay him off.

However, it may be that his salary with us has been reduced to reflect his role with the BBC, which I’d be fine with.

Doubt at any point a contract would have a legal standing to try include a clause staring it would reduce your renumeration in accordance with benefits from other incomes, or anyone would sign it. Additionally any other incomes or contracts will be covered by confidentiality clauses so he wouldnt be able to disclose terms.

  10. Maybe he's building networks for future signings and loans from county or any opposition? Then again could just be loving the double dipping pay days.

  11. Don't doubt Darvel may give Falkirk a tough game, but now there is media focus, expectation and much more pressure for them - some quarters may expect them to push or even beat a team from the seaside leagues given their exploits last night. Usually after a peak result like this, then the bubble bursts. Fully expect Falkirk to get the job done and go through with the stadium and pitch being less of a differentiator given the levels of teams/players involved.

According to Scott Gardiner on the Wyness Shuffle it's a rare Injury due to the result of the ball hiting him too hard unexpectedly.

Was it a pre-war leather ball being hit full force by Roberto Carlos?

  13. Given the recent games called off elsewhere with short notice, doing an early inspection is welcomed. While over the following 24 hours the situation may change (in either way) if a holistic view is taken of travel conditions and local to the stadium, it saves the QP fans the potentially wasted & dangerous journey up the A9 for nothing, especially those who may plan to head up later today (hopefully any hotels or accommodation would be sympathetic in refunding or changing dates)

Not usually a defender of the SFA, but feel this is the right call but thankless either way and open to plenty criticisms.
