Doran is out for a few months. Boyes has an eye injury, whilst Welsh, Wotherspoon and Devine all picked up knocks

Doran and Welsh.......how is maintaining contracts for these guys sustainable. Slow and poor recruitment along with inability to be proactive in new deals for existing players the last few seasons has ultimately allowed deals for these players to be put in place due to desperation and no alternatives with the same old outcomes.

These are a Robbo and Dodds legacy issue and exemplifies our poor recruitment strategy.

Hatrick Harry Ludovica is the evidence. (OK one was a penalty but who scored our last competitive hat trick.)

Shoot out goals don't count or get recorded for goal totals.

Although to answer you question it was Harry in the Inverness cup final and before that Billy of course

  3. Given the line up we had and some of those who are looking to get into the first team or considered as challengers, they need a long hard look and think about their career direction as they may well have shown their true level. Let's not over egg this, Nairn aren't even near the best in the HL and this has to go down as not good enough by a long way. Certain players need to offer more.

Hopefully Dunc fired a few home truths across in the dressing room after the game to wake some of these guys up who seem to just drift along.

  4. Echo the above much better as a team but still need cutting edge in the final third, too often the final ball was found lacking quality but elsewhere we matched up well.

A point is a decent result and means DUtd haven't increased their lead over us.

  5. Dodds back on the radio today seeming perplexed about why he was punted while Chick Young and but chums wax lyrical about caley being rash and Billy being treated unfair. Also ducking and weaving any acknowledgement or interest into the action at Gayfield.

If Dodds genuinely never saw this coming or thought there were issues then hes clearly as narcissistic and deluded as the rest at the club.

  6. Away game, crap weather probably a bit of pressure on our guys knowing the new manager is there. Not very impressive on paper but it's a cup and into the next round so let's take a positive this wk.

Only 2 games for another trophy to get an early cup double in the cupboard. I hope Dunc insists on a bus tour to celebrate.

I'll be optimistic that we get 5th, just missing out. It'll account for Dunc getting the team set up and slowly finding a rhythm but becoming stable enough to mount a challenge only to fall flat and we can all still slate Dodds for his early season horror run.

  9. On the radio tonight already, stealing Robb's Dingwall gig.

The guy has had a shocker and binned due to being utterly crap in management yet gets a gig on national radio giving his advice as an expert pundit just days later. Nepotism rife in the media as the old boys pat each other on the back.

  10. New man, new expectations? Where do you think we will end up with Duncball?

Worth noting its 'only' 6 games gone so 30 still to go, plenty chance to either make up ground and overhaul the 13 point gap to the top or fail spectacularly and stay rooted where we are.

SG jacket still on a shouglie peg but I doubt he ain't going

Maybe he has just saved his skin, but he needs to look at how he is running the club.

A bold managerial decision doesn't change anything, even with an upturn in results. All the same questions around finances, top heavy structure and dismissive attitude towards fans all remain.

Whether Dodds & Wilson has been paid off or getting paid we have now an outlay on a new managerial team on a long deal plus retaining our DoF. Even if we stay up this year financially we not strengthening so big worry if we drop to the seaside leagues.
