Not a comment specific to Carragher as such but while some or all players don't want to drop to league 1, I'm not convinced many have shown they are above or even equal to that level. Perhaps a few need to have long look at their expectations vs ability over the summer.

Gotta find content for their social media accounts

You sad, deluded, ignorant small minded fool. There’s a place for you and your poison at parkhead or ibrox. You’ll be welcome there with open arms.
Can't be welcomed at both. He'd have to pick a flavour first which would determine his alignment

@IBM thank you. Maybe this thread can be pinned to the top now as its got the latest info and allows discussion on the squad next year. Top work pulling that together.

Struggling to find the thread posted before with the list of who's we still have contracted.
I know Billy is signed but on recent evidence his legs are gone and he's in a steady decline. If his salary aligns with league 1 restrictions I'd try retain otherwise let him leave if he finds a better option.
I can't recall the others, if anyone can help. There was a great detail speeadsheet list someone did?

Hamilton are an absolute bunch of hatchet merchants who will fit in well with the cloggers of Morton, Ayr and Airdrie in the Championship. Yesterday like much of the seasonwe were clueless, rudderless and lost for ideas.
The team lacks leadership throughout. Too many players physically weak, not assertive and no confidence. Beyond those leaving anyways, there are still some needing cut loose.
Ferguson and bollan showed by the substitute they had lost the plot and out of ideas. Chasing the game, 3 goals down in the tie we wanted to see the team step up and go for it. So instead of pushing our ariel threat and batter balls into the box, theforwards we bring on midgets and we focus on playing around the front of a congested 18 yard box. So easy for Hamilton.
Rankin is no managerial genius and I think his team will be fighting off relegation next season. In no way were we the better team but Hamilton are not a good side.
Big changes are needed and I don't think dunc and bollan are the ones to rebuild us.

Thinl positive but least all our league games next season will be 3pm Saturday.

Does anyone understand that we need 4 goals. Set up and play doesn't look like it

I'd imagine there are FFP/Money Laundering/Tax Avoidance rules and other regulations in place to prevent that or every club with a wealthy benefactor would be doing it.
Ah you mean like when it was OK with marius nicule

Dunc may work for the club but maybe he's not employed by the club

2) We'd have a team of youngsters in the playing squad maybe with some experience and loans too; in the hope that we bounce straight back up at the first time of asking.
Same youngsters that couldnt get game time at lower levels or did anything of note even at Highland league clubs. No chance they would be able to compete with a bunch of journeymen and cloggers at League One level unfortunately.

We are by far the better team and Hamilton will not be looking forward with any confidence of coming up here on Sat. long live ICT!
Agree. We saw the best of Hamilton and we didn't play well yet are still in this tie. With a bit of intensity and being more assertive there should be confidence we can go up a level, not so sure they can especially on real grass which further dilutes their advantage last night.

Continued calls for Mcgregor. Schrodinger cat.

Hamilton are an awful club who really bring nothing to the landscape of Scottish football - its bad enough irrelevances like Airdrie & Morton are in the Championship.

Big changes are needed and Gardiner should only have 2 games left as he is doing nothing for the wage he is taking out out of the club .
While I get peoples dislike for SG being at the club (and I am no fanboy either), statements like this keep being made. However, nobody ever substantiates it with the costs involved or define the club performance metrics set out by the board and whether he has delivered or otherwise (and if this is considered to represent value).
It would also be interesting for fans to state what their expectations for SG performance would be?

If it was the boards priority instead of wasting money on co tract renewals for players managers didn't or need but were fan favourites.
Or having a DoF when a Championship club?

This is why Robertson was so focused on this.
Interesting especially when you consider his cummulative time at roles within the club - manger 2 spells over 5 years and DoF 3 years - by my maths thats almost 8 years which is over a quarter of our existence - so plenty of time to have changed things for the better.

There needs to be drastic improvement against Hamilton and I fully believe Dunc is incapable of doing that with this bunch of players. Hamilton will be a tough hurdle to overcome and I fear the worse.
I hate Hamilton and this isn't cheering me up.
Still live in hope it'll all click with our team and before the season ends we will play total football and issue an absolute doing with free flowing goals and football.

Buy the pies, juices, moams
Agreed with that and understand how kids want but the catering costs vs quality we offer is shocking. Personally I grudge buying anything at the stadium now given its so poor.

Not for me , I had 6 season tickets this year.Your suggestion costs me £60, clubs way £21 for Saturday.
no brainier. Is it fair on families who put their money up front buying season tickets. They deserve something back also ?
If you're only £21 then its likely you have free tickets due to kids - I dont think the poster was referring to having kids who would be free paying - more that adults/concessions etc should be flat rate £10 not the inflated prices.
Which by my projections would actually save you an additional £1

If we don't concede we can't loose. This isn't the time for expansive football and getting picked apart. Might not be popular but its about getting the job done.

I think we will come through this but still can't understand why Keith Bray was allowed to go on loan
Because he's not ready for this level.
Not a single young player out on loan has excelled in lower leagues against part time players

We've managed promotion to the top flight twice before without battery farms and the like.
Since 2017 we have amassed losses in the region of £3 million (not including what is being hidden on the 2022/23 accounts yet to be filed and whatever it is for 2023/24 - it could easily be topping £5 Million in total to date) chasing that for a third time.
If that level of spending can't even keep us comfortably in the Championship then I would constructively suggest that the first thing we need to do is change the leadership.
With gates of around only 2k fans, we are well behind most clubs in the Championship and even likes of Falkirk or Hamilton - so the level of spend is commensurate with the shortfall in income due to lack of alternate streams (£3m over 5 years is £500k per year so lets get that in perspective in relation to the clubs assets - property, facilities. players). Perhaps its the change in fan expectations and waking up to realise the size of club we are operating at and the premium costs associated with recruitment being outwith the central belt all means we are actually League One sized/structured as such have been punching for many years!!!

We will absolutely batter these part timers and show them why the seaside leagues is no place for a club like ours.
2nd leg incoming folks!!!
Clean sheet, still in the tie and heading to the home leg - if this was in Europe everyone would be raving about tactics being spot on. Clearly Caley playing like a big team which is showing our and Duncs ambitions

In Dunc I TRUST
in Caley Thistle

Pretty sure that's a prerequisite trait for almost all managers though especially in football. Ever seen one to admit they were wrong or change tactics?
Unfortunately I think there is a reliance that Dunc had the contact to bring in players from elsewhere with Bollan knowing the scottish game especially lower leagues -Unfortunately dunc underestimated the level and type of players and qualities needed and bollan is proven useless at management and coaching below this level.
