The loans will all depart and I know we had a lot of players out of contract this summer
Think that is the plan. Going forward I suspect we will again see a large number of loans possibly from much bigger clubs who are unlikely to care whether we contribute to salaries so long as we guarantee game time. Financially that model would make sense given where we are?
Reckon it'll be a revolving door every window unfortunately

Tbf, we probably need more defenders

I'm going to keep revisiting this.
We are essentially having a crap season and been utter abject at home, yet somehow with around quarter of the season left we are only 6 points behind a morton side getting plaudits. (We have 8. Some teams 9 games to go of normal season)
All hypothetical it's possible that if we had achieved more in the Dodds tenure earlier this season we could be fighting for a promotion play off place.
Keen to see how others expectations for remainder of the season align
- score a goal at home
- beat raith and get back to normal service
- beat morton or at least derail their playoff hopes on the last game of the season. The salty tears would be great.
- Avoid relegation play-offs

You'd think a few handshakes around the lodge and all this would get resolved

Tbh they should be closing stadium road between the roundabout and along to under the bridge except for official car parking, disabled and bus access. The speed cars pass both before and after matches with pedestrians about its got to be luck nobody has been injured or worse.

Signing more defenders will help IMO.
One concern is not just the additional defenders but that they seem to be no help at our set pieces and haven't introduced any additional ariel threat during our limited opportunities in the opposite box. The quality of crossing doesn't help but why are we crowding the goal line rather than having runners into the 6 yard box to attack the ball?

The attendance figure given yesterday was 2035!!!!! Ok we have been falsifying the figures now for decades but that has to be the biggest exaggeration yet that’s just embarrassing. Lucky that’s there 1000 there going by that highlights and even that’s being kind.
For a guy who doesn't go to games you don't half come out with some absolute *****, but guess it's to be expected.

Based on minutes played, he's probably as proficient as any of our strikers at the moment.
Low bar there. Samuels, Lodivica, sorry to say Pepple too are just miles away even at this level.
Can't wait until next week's must win, goaless draw.

Big game day. Big excitement for it.
Drab draw to match the pre game build up.

Lots of criticism, sniping and still conjecture posted here on the matter yet seems when the opportunity presented some stayed silent.

I’m away on Wednesday so won’t be able to attend. Had there been more notice of the meeting, I’d have been able to rearrange commitments to attend.
Try contact the club directly, there could be a platform for online participation?

Playoffs are on!
So long as we get to beat morton again last game of the season to crush their play off dream whether it's us or others that benefit.

Would rather we still had Oakley and his 8 goals this season. Quite glad to hear he may be out injured though.

If you are saying we should live within our means then you are effectively saying we should have gone part time years ago after getting relegated
Exactly this. I'm not going to repost my comments over the last few days but its clear so many fans are failing to see the financial reason for loans and turn over of players or acknowledge where a club with a gate of 2k max sits in the Scottish football hierarchy.
Stars aligned once achieving unfathomable success but the chances of that again is slim so we may yet need to go further back both on and off park to build again.

While fans being verbally abusive towards players, staff or even each other is unacceptable I disagree advocating violence to resolve it

It's clear the Jan remit was to reduce playing costs, where experienced and high earning players along with those not contributing were punted. Bring in youth from down south on loan from bigger clubs where we are unlikely to pay much if any towards wages.
Dunc may well be a scapegoat here and the signings may be more a case of what we can get rather than what we really needed.
Who and where are fans expecting quality and experience to come from when the club aren't able to spend the funds to match? We haven't missed out on quality players as its clear we were never approaching any.
As for playing the loan players, it would not be a shock if the deals and lack of contributing financially means parent clubs have made the call they need to play or it costs (more).

I didn't accuse anybody of anything. I asked a question in order to open it up for discussion.
Tbf, when we were **** under dodds the referees were often cited along with injury crisis any time we had more than just Welsh and doran out. It seems to ba a default for many fans rather than accepting its the team, manager, coaches that are failing over 36 games not individual decisions in ever undesirable result.

So can whoever is playing Duncan’s inflated wages not foot the bill for the German trip?
No. The idea we spend money on players for a jolly over to Germany on what will undoubtedly be a loss msking trip just to facilitate a fan going on holiday is wild.
Anyways, we are so ***** why would a top tier German club want to play us. Probably need to get them agreeing to that before anything else.

We slide back, to where we rightfully should be based on our income and fanbase. Which unfortunately some seem to be unable to comprehend. We are a championship club and there are plenty around bigger than us who'd love the peak years we enjoyed - morton, Ayr, falkirk, Dunfermline etc.
Anyone who actually thinks we were ever a permiership top 6 club longterm is deluded.

The club has been on a terminal decline since winning the Scottish Cup
Thats inevitable though, we were never going to exceed that anyntime soon although another national cup final last year is pretty exceptional.
Not sure what fans expected - challenging for the Premiershiptitle, a European trophy? In context there are plenty professional clubs in Scotland who have had less success in the last 100 years than we have in 30.
The more I see the glaring sense of entitlement on here and whinging about refs and 'deserving better' the more I see how SG thought an orange strip might be popular in certain sections!!!

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
in Caley Thistle

Some may disagree but other than deals for ridgers or cammy, devine, harper then its keeping the youngsters we have out on loan. Lots of rebuilding to do
